"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you " A young girl sitting besides the bed sang smiling happily looking at the girl lying in the bed. The girl lying on the bed is Athena yes just Athena no last name today she had turned 18 thinking about this Athena couldn't help but to laugh thinking this is going to be the best year, finally she will also have someone to call family.
Athena had been an orphan since she can remember, she is the member of the Moonlight pack which is one of the powerful pack in the northern continent. Her pack members had told her that her mother and father were killed by the vampires when she was just a newborn now someone might call Athena cruel for not hating the vampires but because when her parents had died she was just a small cub not even a month old the connection a cub should have with the parents is basically none existence to Athena.
Even though she never said ,she craves for someone to call family now that she had turned 18 her mate might appear anytime. Athena could not be said that she is the most beautiful girl but she definitely got her own charms ,Her face was round with round cheeks looking very cute ,small lips and nose her eyes resemble those of a phoenix very beautiful though her face was not that of a model but it had the charm that couldn't be ignored.
"Mia you came early" Athena said to her friend Mia also the member of the pack in contrast with her friend she had a soft and beautiful face that gave you a calm mind when you look at it, her eyes contained a bit of mischievous in them her lips were pretty thick along with the eyelashes ,she was not very tall but her body gave you a bit of fragility and the need to protected.
"I have to it your birthday fool, seeing that face of yours I'm happy that you happy but it seem like you are forgetting something " Mia said mysteriously which confused Athena seeing her confusion she continues "Today is your birthday which means your wolf is going to awaken"
"Wolf" Athena Said touching her chest uncomfortably, a werewolf is a person who can shapeshift or change into a wolf, werewolves are very active when there is a full moon and they are more powerful. A werewolf awaken his/her wolf at the age of 5 but Athena didn't and the witches couldn't find what the problem was but they said she might awaken her wolf when she is 18 ,the word might meant it was also possible for her to remain wolfless for the rest of the her life.
When you awaken your wolf, it can either be an Alpha, a Beta or and Omega, Alphas were the strongest wolves and they were born leaders. They lead their pack members to survive the chances of women to awaken an Alpha wold were 1% with these statistics you can see how rare an Alpha Female was. Beta's were usually the right hand man or women of the Alpha , Then the Omegas whom are very fragile and weak but they are very important for the development of the pack simply because of their intelligence and strong fertility, a combination of an Alpha and an Omega were like the match made by heavens. Only women can awaken a wolf which is an Omega.
Mia have awaken her wolf by the age of 5 and she was an Omega so she was very favored by the pack like any other Omegas in the pack, Athena still wondered why she had befriended her the unlucky girl who failed to awaken her wolf.
"I don't really want to think about the wolf thing, let things happen it will awaken but if it fated and if it not it will not" Athena said not caring but only she knew how anxious she was in her heart praying to moon goddess to awaken her wolf.
"Don't stress about it ok, now go take a bath and we will go to your party" Mia said smiling reassuringly even tho Athena was not favored in the pack didn't mean she wasn't liked ,the atmosphere in the Moonlight pack was very light with some unity but like every pack there were problems Going on the underground.
Athena woke up going to the bathroom to take a bath throwing the matter of the wolf thing at the back of her mind ,this year she wasn't going to let someone or something ruin it she prayed that her mate was an understanding person and would accept her as the wolfless girl. Looking at her body in the mirror Athena was satisfied she had a thin body which was very white and looked fragile but also softly attractive the curves were in the right place not to big but not to small, she had small boobs which were her frustration because in made her feel like she had not grown at all.
She got dressed, satisfied with her dress she and Mia walked out. The moment they walked out someone talked complimenting Mia and soon everyone smiled and added to the other person compliments, looking at this Athena was very envious it was always like this because Mia was an Omega matching an Alpha as a mate was almost a guarantee and this was one of the reasons why the omega are favored ,the mate Mia was going to meet was to be powerful thus increasing the relations of the Moonlight pack with other packs if her mate was an outsider but if he is an insider the gains would be very big the pack will grow more powerful.
Soon they got rid of everyone and continued with their journey which was to going to the lake where small celebrations were held.
"Mia you are here ,hey guys Mia is here!!" A guy said rushing over his name was Jack he looked a little bit chubby but cute he was about 19 of years old and he was also a member of the pack.
