2 years later
It was freezing and pitched black as she
walked along the road. The wind blowing her hair around her face, making it hard to see anything in front of her.
Fear crept into her mind as she listened to the trees creaking and animals scattering in the woods. She tried to focused on the slap of her shoes on the wet pavement. Picking up her pace as she hears howling in the wind. Terror etched on her face as she ran.
As soon as she reached the only streetlight
around, she stopped running. It seemed as if everything had stopped, the howling, the air, even her own bresthing. Yet, the rain had continued, creating a lull of raindrops hitting pavement. She pulled her jacket tighter against her body as she shivers. She couldn't hear if they were getting closer and no one else was around on the empty road.
She hears a low growl and whips around to
look behind her. There it was, the white wolf, creeping through the forrest trees closer towards the road. She slowly backs away crossing to the farther side of the road. The wolf curiously walks out behind the forest trees, head held high, smelling the air.
Tripping on a rock, she falls backward, feeling like forever. The white wolf growls and snaps at her causing her to close her eyes and whimper. When she opens her eyes and realizes that she didnt hit ground, she sees the wolf face to face as he pulls her back up onto the road by her shirt. The tear in her shirt a forever reminder that he had chosen to catch her as she was falling.
'Mine' a voice in her head says. Was she
going insane, hearing things? Will she get the answers she so desperately seeks?
