They were allowed inside the Castle, it was quite luxurious inside. There were chairs made of silver and tables made of gold, it was quite beautiful. They walked in the hallway, taking many turns along the way. This showed just how big and spacious the Castle was. After walking for a while, they reached a huge door also made of gold, there were array formations carved in it. The soldier then gestured for Lu Zhen to enter.
Lu Zhen was not cuffed the whole time which made him wonder if it was their ignorance or if they trusted their strength and capabilities that much. He then entered, inside were eight figures sitting in a tall round table. Their auras were suffocating that a normal would have already knelt on the floor and admitted to their mistakes.
Of course Lu Zhen wasn't a normal person, they then sized him up from top to bottom. Their gaze looked as if they could see through Lu Zhen, they were surprised by how calm Lu Zhen was. He even had the nerve to also size them up.
There were six men who looked to be in their fifties and two beautiful ladies who looked to be in their early thirties. Their body had fully developed and could excite any man who met them, they had this mature charm that was hard to explain but further accentuated their beauty. These elders were all at the King Realm although in its early stages. Seeing that their plan of scaring Lu Zhen didn't work they felt embarrassed. The room was so quiet that one would hear a pin drop.
"Do you admit to killing the people of our race?" one of the elders finally broke the silence. He was called Jiang Yi, his gaze was sharp and his handsomeness was still there despite being so old. " Yes. " answered Lu Zhen calmly. "Why? I don't think they would take the initiative to provoke you or anyone for that matter." asked another elder. "I needed resources to break through to the Qi Purification Realm and coincidentally, they fit the job perfectly."
The elders got angry after hearing Lu Zhen's words, he dared turn their people into cultivation resources.
"How dare you! How could you be so cruel at such a young age. They didn't offend you yet you killed them so cruelly. What do you have to say for yourself." shouted Elder Yi.
"Old man, when you're craving meat, what do you do?" "I obviously slaughter a cow or pig or a chicken, it depends on the type of meat I'm craving. " answered Elder Yi subconsciously. Lu Zhen then slightly smiled, "Then do you give the pig or cow the reason for slaughtering them." asked Lu Zhen.
What was surprising was that the elder kept answering his questions. "Of course not! They are animals after all. I don't need a reason to kill them." "Exactly! They're just puny animals. I also killed puny beasts because I simply had the capabilities. Do I need a reason to slaughter pigs and chickens? Does this reason satisfy you?" The elder realised too late that he had been tricked by this young man in front of him, so were the rest of the elders. They were wondering where Lu Zhen was going with his questions and it turned out to be a trap.
"Unfortunately for you, those puny beasts have backings and quite strong ones."
"Hahaha!" Lu Zhen suddenly laughed but he didn't say anything. They were indeed quite strong but not to a level where he had to cower in fear. "I don't think you understand the position you're in. Guards!" shouted Elder Yi, moments later, two guards entered. "Take him to the Demon's Mouth!"
The two guards shivered when hearing those words 'Demon's Mouth.'
The so-called Demon's Mouth was a cell that was shrouded in darkness, it was so dark that one wouldn't even be able to see his hands even if they were in front of his face. It also helped Heart Demons to become stronger to torture criminals, no one has ever survived the Demon's Mouth.
Lu Zhen was taken to the Demon's Mouth, along the way, they came across a luxurious golden carriage that was surrounded by guards. Everyone in the streets bowed except of course Lu Zhen. "How dare you disrespect Princess Zhu!" shouted one of the guard's as he approached Lu Zhen. "My body is rigid so it neither bows nor kneels to anyone." said Lu Zhen calmly.
The guard was quite startled by Lu Zhen's response. His face then became cold but before he could act, "Forget it, let's go." A sweet voice sounded within the carriage. The Princess peeked at Lu Zhen from the window and was mesmerized by his breathtaking looks. Lu Zhen smiled at the carriage and he and the guards continued on their journey.
It seemed like only the Princess saw his exquisite looks because no one in the streets cared about him, they only took a quick glance at him before continuing with whatever they're doing. They arrived at the Demon's Mouth, It was in an underground chamber below the Castle. One of the guard's took out a black key and opened the silvery door. It was cold inside and there was this eerie feeling.
Lu entered and the door was locked from the onside.
…
Meanwhile in the Castle, Princess Zhu was inquiring about Lu Zhen. She had the feeling that Lu Zhen saw her and that the smile was for her. She also wondered why only she could see his looks, she was sure that Lu Zhen had done something to hide his looks or else a commotion would have broken out.
She walked towards a certain direction and entered her room, it was luxurious but simple. She had a pile of textured and coloured pillows, soft sheets and fluffy duvet and a throw blanket. There was also a stylish bed frame and a large mirror.
Princess Zhu stood in front of the mirror and said softly, "Show me the young man who was being escorted by the two guards. This was a magic artifact that one could use on anyone. There were all kinds of magic artifacts and only weapons above SSS rank could compare to magic artifacts. The mirror turned white as if it was covered by clouds and a silver door was shown.
The mirror bypassed the door's restrictions and entered a pitch black space. The Princess was surprised that Lu Zhen was locked up in the Demon's Mouth. Nothing could be seen in this space, Lu Zhen felt something and opened his terrifyingly blood red eyes.
They seemed to pierce through the darkness which was impossible and saw the invisible mirror. Princess Zhu was the most startled, in the endless darkness, two eyes that glowed like rubies could be seen within the darkness looking at a certain place. She felt like Lu Zhen was looking at her.
