Chapter 1 - The Journey Within-Chapter 1:The Beginning

The comforting scent of freshly brewed coffee and the

floral, spicy scent of cinnamon from the bakery's homemade muffins that made

such a whole lot of their Saturdays happy. Sunlight streamed in through the

lace curtains, and swept up into the floor of the worn wooden planks.

The walls were plastered with bright posters and dream

catchers all hinting at a touch of her wild side—a bright, contrary accent to

the boring, ordered life she lived in Willows Creek. "Good morning, sleepyhead!

" Her mom's cheerful voice rang out from the kitchen. Moments later she

approached with a smile, bringing Lily a plate. Fluffy pancakes with golden and

soft colour spread and a smell of a plate, salivating.

" Happy birthday, darling" Lily's dad moved a chair to

the dinner table with his eyes twinkling. "Sixteen, huh? It hardly seems like

it, that little girl took to the air all over the backyard." Lily giggled,

and the ecstasy of being tickled went to her like love. "I know, Dad. Time

really flies, doesn't it? But now, I'm ready for some real adventures.

"Her mom stared at her, an eyebrow raised in a blend of irony and concern.

"Adventures, huh? Just make sure those adventures are safe,

young lady. We kinda need you around here, you know?" Lily laughed back,

with a knowing smile, "Don't twitch, Mom. I'd never deserted you."

she sighed gazing at her mother, and shoved a bite of pancake in her mouth. As

if in a short meditation, an introspective look appeared on her face and a

small expression of introspection appeared on her face. "But what if it's

amazing? Yes, it is absolutely wonderful to travel and find out what is fun

about it."

 Her father approached, scratching his chin as though in contemplation." Well,

"he said, rubbing it as if he were very much thinking about it, he wrote.
