Central Plain and Qing countries, once in peace, are now at war. The relationships that were built for generations now crumbled. The two emperors once had a great and unbreakable bond. Now, all that's left is hatred.
"Father, is there no other way? Why should it result in war?" Mu Rufei, the eldest princess of Qing country, confronted her father. "Insolent! You have no idea what that bastard did!" Mu Daiwen, the emperor of Qing country, slammed his table as he stood up furiously.
"It might be a misunderstanding, Father! His majesty wouldn't do that–" Before she could continue her words, she was stopped by her father. "I don't want to listen to your nonsense. He has caused turmoil in our country and dared to take over!" He shouted, not willing to listen to Mu Rufei. "Get out!" He pointed to the door, signaling the conversation was over.
Mu Rufei and Cui Zhaoge were betrothed when the country was still in peace. Cui Zhaoge is the crown prince of Central Plain. Now that both countries are at war, the engagement is canceled. They would be forced to face each other as enemies.
