Chapter 2 - Ritual?

Mikazuki (laughing): "You don't get it, Sorata. We don't need rituals or anything like that. I'm not going into you. You're going into me!"

Sorata: "What?! Stop talking nonsense, idiot! I've read a ton of manga, you're going into me!"

Mikazuki: "I assure you, once you enter my soul, all control will be yours, and you'll be able to control the body. If I go into your body, you won't gain anything mana-wise. Even in my current form, I can perform decent magic and I have mana. You'll give me your body, and in return, I'll give you magic power and mana. I don't even have the goal of controlling your body, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't do it without your consent."

Sorata: "Will my new body look like yours?"

Mikazuki: "I'm not ugly. You'll need a charismatic appearance for leadership, and since we look alike, people will eventually believe you just changed your style."

Sorata and Mikazuki merged, and in that moment, the sky suddenly turned a deep red, like a bloodstain. A voice echoed from the heavens:

"I WANT TO GO TO THE STARS."

Without any time passing, a large area formed around the castle walls, and a massive explosion of light occurred. The explosion was so intense that nothing around it was harmed, yet the origin and mystery of what had happened still remained.

Mikazuki shook his head and spoke with a mocking tone:

"Wow, really impressive! But don't forget, stars are just the creations of scientists. You know, that whole 'paradise of stars' dream of yours… It's really not my thing. Wasting your power on such fantasies will only exhaust you."

Sorata, with a smirk, answered, feeling the dark magic he wielded:

"Behind the darkness of my magic, I'll shine like a star. People will think they've been saved by me, unaware of the chaos I created. And I'll continue my path as a hero. Everything will be perfect, at least for those lucky enough to see my 'stars'."

Mikazuki stepped back with a mocking grin and began to speak:

"Sure, sure… Heroism and legends… Really original. But sooner or later, you'll lose the public's interest. You won't be content with heroism alone. Eventually, you'll want to try on different identities. Maybe a villain, maybe a rock star… Who knows, you might even become a vampire one day. In the end, you'll always say the same thing: 'I was always the same.'"
