The preparation didn't take long and now the Blue Knights and Red Knights are now on their way to execute the plan. Before departing, Commander Julius introduces Kurtis to Ultear as one of his apprentice knight with excellent skills. Ultear only smile and nodded.
"I see, that's good. I want to see how excellent his skills is. Mind if we cross swords sometime?" Ultear offer as she accepted Kurtis hand for a handshake. Ultear was proud to hear commander Julius complementing Kurtis.
"The pleasure's mine, commander Ultear." Kurtis slightly tighten his grip on her hand. He flash a meaningful smile which Ultear return with a chuckle.
After that, the plan continues. They reach the path between Peruna Village and Istark City in no time. Everyone scram and went to take their position as plan. After that, all they need to do is wait for Ultear's signal to attack.
Not far from their position, they could already see the group of monsters and beasts. Their numbers ranges from a hundred to two hundred. Ultear signal for the knights to stay low and vigilant while she prepare herself to attack. She hold the handle of her long sword as she watches carefully how the monsters and beasts behave for a moment.
There's something wrong with their usual behavior. Their bodies bulk up, drools dripping from their mouth and their eyes filled with rage. They also look restless.
Ultear stealthily jump from one tree to another without disturbing the air around her. Everyone was awestruck with her stealth skills. They continue watching her every move intently with anticipation. Ultear unsheathe her long sword from its scabbard as she gracefully attack the nearest Silver Wolf. With just a single swing of her sword, the Wolf's head fly. She attack the other monsters and beasts without a single moment of rest. Her movements were simple, precise, and nothing flashy yet everyone was drawn in her. The white snow dance along with her every move. Ultear looks like the goddess of snow.
She looks beautiful, magnificent and royally elegant with every twist and turn of her body.
"Beautiful. Not a single move were wasted." Commander Julius commented with an impress expression on his face. His heart thump loudly in his chest after watching such beautiful sword skills being perform in his very own eyes. However, some of Ultear's movements reminded him of Kurtis. He wonder if it's just him or some of their moves were similar.
They continue watching Ultear slaughter every monsters and beasts as if their eyes were glued to her. Her movements were too beautiful that they didn't notice how she cruelly killed every monsters and beasts. Well, aside from Kurtis who knows everything about her. He knows that Ultear beautifully destroys her opponent. And surprisingly, even Ultear herself doesn't know this. Kurtis told her once, which she just answer with a confused look and said that all she did was swing her sword as swiftly and strongly as she can. Nothing more, nothing less.
After a while of fighting...no, slaughtering, the ground turn black with all the monster's and beast's blood. Their chop bodies fly in the sky and it looks like it was raining chop body parts and blood. It only took a mere 20 minutes and the fight was over with Ultear's overwhelming victory. The other knights didn't even do anything. All they did was watch a live slaughter of hundreds of monsters and beasts being annihilated by another type of monster in the human form.
They were still in the state of shock when the fight was over. Kurtis was the first to act and walk towards Ultear. Since he already had a previous knowledge of how frightening and awesome Ultear's skills are, he wasn't that surprise anymore.
"You didn't even let us do anything," Kurtis jokingly commented. Ultear snap out from a reverie. She was too emersed with the battle that she totally forgot to give signal for the other knights. Kurtis laugh with her reaction.
"I totally forgot!" Ultear scan her surrounding. There's a mountain of dead monsters and beasts lying around. It stinks.
"You okay? You're not hurt anywhere, are you?" Kurtis whisper since he doesn't want anyone to hear and become suspicious of their relationship. Though, Kurtis doesn't want to hide their relationship, he also know that it will only bring no good to Ultear. Especially that she is a royalty and he is just but a mere commoner knights. Ultear was way above him both in terms of status and skills. But he's doing his best not to be left behind by her. Kurtis wanted to become strong in order to protect the woman he love.
"Nope. I am perfectly fine. It's just that I'm not satisfied with the fight. It wasn't thrilling..." Ultear stared at Kurtis and suddenly have an idea. "Why don't we annihilate all monsters and beasts now?"
"What?...are you serious?" Kurtis was dumbfounded with her idea.
Ultear didn't waste anymore time and announces to the rest that she plan to annihilate the rest of the monsters and beasts residing in the foot of the Twin Impassable Mountain Ranges. And since the Blue and Red Knights haven't even done anything, they all agreed to her idea. It was commander Julius who first agreed.
And so, their plan to surround the monsters and beasts in the road between Peruna Village and Istark City came to a 160 degrees turn. Now, the Blue and Red Knights set out into the forest. Their goal is the Twin Impassable Mountain Ranges.
They first enter the Sei Forest, west of Peruna Village and annihilates all monsters and beasts they encounter along the way. They spare not even a single monster. With Ultear leading them, they reach the foot of the Twin Impassable Mountain Ranges in no time.
"I have confirmed the reports you gave me. Something's wrong with the monsters and beasts here, without a doubt." Ultear affirmed when they came to a halt. They're already in the foot of the mountain so they need to be extra cautious since they don't know what kind of danger lurks there.
"That's true. It looks like someone or something has interfered with them. Those beasts that doesn't work with groups now attack in groups." Commander Julius agrees.
"And those who isn't even strong like the goblins, now could kill five humans with a single swing of their baton."
The two commanders stared at each other as if they know what each other is thinking.
