Chereads / Amazing General / Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

"General?" Diane scoffed in disbelief. "Is this some kind of joke?" She asked, looking taken aback by the CEO's reaction.

"General! We are so happy to have you back, Mr. Romeo sent me over to bring you to the room. We were delighted when our tracker finally found you." The CEO disregarded others and focused more on Drew, speaking to him with respect.

Drew looked relieved, it seemed his crew had found him.

"Excuse me, sir. Did this young man con you or something?" Richard smirked with a sharp shrug and the CEO looked at him.

"What do you mean?" The CEO asked in disinterest.

"Look here, Drew has scammed my fiancée's family in the past, coaxing her to marry him when he has nothing. I can tell by the look of things that he is playing some tricks here." Richard said vividly and Diane adjourned with a sharp nod.

"I think you are the one who is a con here, sir." The CEO disregarded his first statement with a brash tone.

"You mean? Being the CEO doesn't mean you should be rude!" Diane gritted her teeth as she held Richard's arm.

"Well, you should discuss with the securities outside how you got a hold of this exclusive ticket because it doesn't belong to you." The CEO picked the ticket and slid it into Richard's pocket.

Richard looked dumbed and for a minute, he couldn't say a word.

"What do you mean?" The CEO ignored Diane and faced the manager.

"It seems like this job isn't your preference." He began and the manager bowed.

"My apologies sir." She mumbled.

"You are fired, thank you for your service." The man said before facing Drew, he couldn't help but bow again.

"Sir! Please! Sir!" The manager's voice of dismay filtered in the air.

While he was being led to the presidential elevator, Richard, Diane and the rude staff were thrown out of the hotel.

"My apologies again for the banters, sir. I failed to teach my staff well." The man broke the silence as they stepped out of the elevator, walking in the isolated hallway.

"I'm not bothered." He waved it off with a small smile.

"We are here, General." The door opened and after a deep breath, he entered the chilled VVIP room.

"This is heaven! I miss this luxury!" He couldn't help but scream as he admired the interior and wide master bed.

"General!" Loud voices echoed like earthquakes in the room and before him were his men.

His right hand man, Romeo, who he had planned his undercover mission with and his other crew members.

He was almost in tears because it had been years since he saw them, they had grown, looking good and he missed the feeling of having them around.

There was a long moment of silence as he stared at them one after the other, reliving the moment and reminding himself that he was out of "that" hell.

"At ease!" He released them and they obeyed, standing upright with a hard march.

"Romeo…" He called out to his right hand man.

"Boss, I missed you a lot. I can't believe I stayed years without you." Romeo bowed and all Drew could do was exhale heavily while crashing on the seat.

"Rome, believe me when I say I suffered." He gasped.

"We know that, boss. We got some news though something happened and we suddenly lost contact." Romeo explained to him meticulously and he nodded his head.

"But now, I'm back and I have seen enough reason to push through with our plans - without forgiveness at heart." He said vividly.

"But… Diane… I thought there was something going on between you two." Romeo asked skeptically, giving him a long look.

"Yeah, there was until my money drained off." He sighed, scratching his head.

"It's good to have you back, boss!" His crew were delighted.

"I need to drink and eat at this moment because I have seen a lot. I have to remind myself that I'm back." He said with sarcasm and his men laughed.

"That's correct, boss and I have already ordered all your favorites for you." Romeo paused.

"How about you settle in the tub with a glass of wine while we set the table?" Romeo suggested, wiggling his brows and he smirked.

"Sounds like a plan." He winked.

After making merry with his men, bathing, wearing clean clothes and having a nap, he woke up feeling alive. He wasn't slapped on the face or flogged with a belt. He was back to "his" reality and would never forget his experience.

"Romeo, I need all the updates from three years ago." He went through the files on the desk as he spoke.

"Boss, you just returned. Don't you think you should rest?" Romeo asked, looking worried.

"Do you know what three years of absence from work means? I have to give a quality explanation to the President, otherwise he would grow weary." Drew said.

"You did everything you did for the safety of the country, you deserve a break." He was determined to let his master take a break.

He knew how broad and fat his master used to be in the past, but he was somewhat thin now and looked like he was malnourished.

"I will rest when it's time but right now, I have a lot on my tabs." Drew scratched his hair while going to the compiled report.

"The old illegal dealer is back from Tokyo? What's the Creed team doing about it?" Drew asked, raising an anxious brow.

"The Creed and other forces stopped being operational after your absence. I think they are only competitive when you are on sight." He informed him courteously.

"Well… I will need a few things now since I have lost a lot in the hands of the Stewarts." He sighed deeply.

"What do you want, boss? The guys and I will go pick them up." Romeo said seriously.

"Well, before that, there is something very important that you have to take care of…" He trailed off, rubbing his chin with a mischievous smile forming on his lips.

"I'm all ears, boss." Romeo bowed.

"Let's slowly take care of the Stewart family… They need to know who is boss." He instructed sternly, focusing back on other cases as Romeo saluted.
