Chapter 8 - 7. Teacher, let my fiancé come.

"A few weeks ago, I detailed to you all the spiritual particle structure of the 'Triple Waves' Spiritual Clothes. To better demonstrate its effects in actual combat, today I've specifically invited Lady Cha, a swordsmanship expert from the Black Moon Church, to give a live demonstration," said Professor Freya, as she pushed the large blackboard behind her aside to reveal the empty training ground behind.

She walked slowly to the center of the training ground and turned around.

Professor Freya's waist was hung with a long sword and she was clothed in a flowing white martial robe, a black belt tightly enclosing her slender waist. Her wine-red hair was coiled into a side ponytail that fell from her left shoulder, draping over her like a plum blossom proud amidst the snow. She looked like a gentle housewife.

But her posture was straight, and the icy coldness in her gaze as she looked around brought with it an immense pressure, softening only as her eyes warmly met those of Cha Naixue in the front row and nodded in acknowledgment.

Coming to her senses, Cha Naixue stood and entered the training ground.

She was not a student of Weiyang Academy, but the Black Moon Church and the Academy had always had resource collaborations, with mutual visits being a common occurrence.

Facing a regular person would have been different, but Freya was a Third Rank Spirit Master known as the Sword Demon. This forced Naixue to concentrate very hard, temporarily pushing aside her matters with Xia Feng.

Cha Naixue stood still in the center of the ground, gripping her sword in both hands. Her entire being was like a bloodthirsty blade, her aura rapidly climbing until, in the blink of an eye, her sword was enveloped in a layer of blood-colored spiritual flow. With a crisp, low shout, she fiercely swung the sword forward—buzz!

Three continuous crescent-shaped blood-colored Spiritual Flows approached the red-haired professor with a menacing momentum, moving at a speed invisible to the naked eye of an ordinary person.

Professor Freya raised her sword to block, standing with her hands behind her back unmoved, but the wind sent her side ponytail of wine-red hair swirling wildly about.

Buzz, buzz, buzz—

The three waves of blood-colored crescents were easily dissipated by Freya's cross-block.

Gazing at the woman in the snowy dress in the distance, she nodded in approval, "Not bad, it looks like the position of the Holy Daughter of Black Moon is very likely yours."

"You flatter me, Professor," Cha Naixue bowed with a fist in hand as a salute.

Without further ado, Freya turned and said, "What Cha Naixue just used was the standard opening stance of the 'Triple Waves'. The structure of the spiritual particles in the Spiritual Clothes is fundamental, but the corresponding opening stance is also very important! Those who understand may come up and give it a try."

Regrettably, the classroom remained quiet for a while with no one raising their hands to indicate their willingness.

After all, the Triple Waves were one of the hardest offensive-type Spiritual Clothes to learn among the D-rank, and everybody had only been learning for a few weeks—who would step forward and embarrass themselves...

Leaning back lazily, chin propped in his hand, Xia Feng likewise had no intention of trying it out. He was simply gazing out the window, preparing to give "One-tail Spiritual Clothes" to Mu Qingtong after class, for her to study hard.

The issue was how to reasonably give away the Spiritual Clothes.

[Seeing Cha Naixue's battle, Mu Qingtong's consciousness inadvertently reviewed the diagram of the 'Triple Waves' spiritual particle structure, enhancing your understanding of Spiritual Clothes, successfully mastering D-rank Spiritual Clothes 'Triple Waves 100%']

"..." Xia Feng sat up from his daze as if struck by a sickness, staring in astonishment at the back of the black-dressed woman in front of him.

What the hell? You remember for a moment and you learn a D-rank Spiritual Clothes?

"Since no one is willing to come up voluntarily, you choose," Freya turned to Cha Naixue.

"Me?" Cha Naixue paused briefly but did not refuse.

Instead, she subconsciously looked toward the back of the classroom at the black-haired young man, but she noticed Xia Feng's gaze seemed a bit out of it, fixated in one direction. Following his gaze, she saw an elegant woman dressed in a restrained black dress sitting in the second row, her calm eyes steadily gazing back at her.

Their golden and purple eyes met, her long lashes lowering slightly as she spoke softly with a smile, "Then let's go by proximity. This girl who's looking at me, would you like to come up and try?"

Mu Qingtong came back to herself from the helplessness of accidentally mastering the Triple Waves, her demeanor calm as she looked at Cha Naixue.

She was quite sure that she did not know Cha Naixue, but she definitely felt that this woman seemed to be targeting her on purpose.

"This Miss Cha is really hateful!" Mushroom, always straightforward and a blabbermouth, was grumbling next to Xia Feng, "She could have chosen from the third-year seating area, but instead deliberately picked someone from the second year. She's obviously doing this on purpose. Mu Shen is about to lose face big time."

As Mushroom spoke, Mu Qingtong had already entered the arena.

Just as Mushroom predicted, although she successfully unleashed the Triple Waves, the moment she drew her blade, the three bloody crescent arcs, born from the edge of her sword, began to crumble apart. By the time they reached Freya, they had diminished into a few strands of feeble air currents.

However, Freya looked at this calm and composed girl, noticing not the slightest hint of discouragement from the temporary setback. She offered an admiring gaze,

"Very good. Though the starting form wasn't perfect and your understanding of the Spiritual Particle structure is not yet thorough, you have found the correct direction. As long as you keep working hard in this way, I believe you will succeed soon."

"Thank you for your guidance," Mu Qingtong said with a smile, bowing slightly.

Seeing how well this woman could act, Xia Feng couldn't help but admire her. He could only think that she truly lived up to her reputation as the future apocalyptic villain, excelling in the art of concealing her strength.

Mu Qingtong calmly sheathed her sword, indeed she hadn't used her full strength, not even a third of it.

From the time she could remember, she knew she was different from others. No matter the subject, as long as she was willing to learn, everything came easily to her.

After entering Weiyang Academy at eighteen, she climbed the ranks from fresh recruit to Apprentice Spirit Master, then to First Rank Spirit Master, all in less than a month.

She was long accustomed to such achievements.

She had perused the lifetimes of tens of thousands of historical figures and never found anyone with a cultivation speed matching hers. Sometimes, she even felt she might not be human but rather something else taking on a human form for some reason.

Since she had reached a non-human realm, Mu Qingtong naturally preferred not to reveal her uniqueness.

But it was for this reason that at times she felt lonely or even found the world boring. Nothing seemed to spark her interest, and these beings called humans were utterly dull...

"Alright, Mu Qingtong, you decide the next volunteer. Who would you like to come up and try?"

Professor Freya's voice pulled Mu Qingtong's thoughts back to the present. She blinked, as if struck by a thought, and directly turned her gaze towards the black-haired young man in the back row.

Their eyes met, and behind her gold-rimmed glasses, her beautiful eyes curved slightly as she said softly,

"Teacher, as it happens, my fiancé is also here today. I would like for him to give it a try."

"???" Xia Feng's arm, supporting his cheek, slid down as he jolted upright, once again stunned. Great, Mu Qingtong, Cha Naixue torments you, and you torment me, huh?

"Fiancé?!"

"AH? AH?!"

The entire class was in an uproar, the once quiet classroom erupting into chaos.

"The Saint Mu actually has a fiancé? You must be joking—"

"My eighteenth Silver Moon, finally about to be claimed?"

"Damn it..." Even Mushroom was shocked by this news. After cursing under her breath and resting her forehead hopelessly against the edge of the desk, she covered her face and sighed, "Ah, just when I had a target, it turns out she has a boyfriend..."

Seeing that no one had yet come forward, Freya prompted in a calm voice, "Who is it... come up, please."

Xia Feng thought for a moment, estimating that he could follow Mu Qingtong's lead and hide his true abilities, then lightly patted Mushroom's head with a chuckle, "My dear daughter, watch your dad perform."

Mushroom looked up, puzzled, as her dear brother stood up and descended the stairs. In her innocently large eyes, confusion reigned. What is this guy doing?

But as Xia Feng entered the arena and took the long blade from Mu Qingtong's hands, her sparkling eyes gradually widened to the size of saucers.

Her thick-rimmed glasses slid down her nose as Mushroom opened her mouth wide in silence.

No way...

"Damn!"
