The next day, May 16, Saturday.
Not having to be on time for work at the police station for the next five days, today Aoyama Xiu Xin slept in for a rare occasion.
When he came downstairs after washing up, he saw a prepared breakfast on the table with a note attached.
"Xiu Xin must have been working hard recently, no matter how busy, remember to eat breakfast. I have gone to my part-time job at the florist, see you tonight." The note ended with a smiley face.
Aoyama Xiu Xin smiled, tore off the note, and sat down to eat breakfast. His sister-in-law had carefully covered the food, so it was not completely cold, still retaining some warmth.
At noon, Asai Ayumi drove to his house to pick him up.
Since he did not have to work today, Asai Ayumi was not wearing a suit but a white camisole dress instead.
