Merlin Ambrosius, originally was the great mage Merlin by King Arthur's side, who revered the Lord as a wizard, and whose father's identity remained a mystery but was certain to possess some kind of evil lineage. Of course, Merlin did not become an evil mage because of this.
Rather, he was a righteous wizard, indispensable to Atilis's coronation, also a very famous great wizard in the world, later honored as a sage after aiding Atilis in conquering the world.
And, the man was very adept at prophecy.
