A winding bluestone staircase led to the foot of the mountain, where the path grew increasingly wider. Ahead lay a collapsed bluestone archway, on which one could faintly make out the three ancient characters of True Martial Sect.
Before, Han Zheng had assumed that the True Martial Sect was built along the mountainside.
But now, it seemed that wasn't the case.
It turned out that True Martial Sect had actually excavated the mountain to build the sect, with the interior of the mountain holding its main area, and the mountain's summit serving as the entrance. The entry was narrow at first but opened into a spacious interior.
Han Zheng saw some reason in this somewhat odd architectural approach of the sect.
It was surely intended as a defense against demons, leaving only an extremely narrow entrance that was easy to guard.
