"Brother-in-law!"
Before entering the house, Daisy ran up to Chen Jie with arms outstretched and claws bared, ready to embrace him.
Chen Jie smiled as well, saying to Daisy, "Missed your brother-in-law?"
"Missed you!"
"Really? You're not lying to your brother-in-law, are you?"
"Lying is for little dogs!"
Daisy firmly declared.
"Alright, I believe you."
Chen Jie said with a smile, then looked up and saw Su Yunjin standing at the door, freshly done with her chores, her hair slightly disheveled and beads of sweat on her forehead, which he wiped away with his hand.
"Your husband's back."
She tenderly told her husband.
Chen Jie smiled and said, "Hmm."
"Why did you buy so much stuff again?"
"Went to town, saw what the house needed, and bought some things."
The three of them walked into the house, beginning to move the items inside, Chen Jie noticing Su Yunjin's sweat and the hoe in the yard, said, "Have you been doing chores at home?"
