Chapter 5 - Cafe

"Wanted to meet someone, but it seems like that person didn't show up." Uncle Tio replied, April immediately fell silent and lost her smile. It turned out that Uncle Tio came to the cafe not by chance to meet April and her friends, but because the man was going to meet someone who was definitely a woman. Making April's guts shrink, of course. Uncle Tio was a very mature man, the man must have an interest in a woman who was an adult like him. April could see Uncle Tio who was anxiously checking his cellphone continuously, the girl understood how Uncle Tio felt after the friend he was waiting for didn't come. But April was just a teenage girl who couldn't cheer up Uncle Tio and could only sit next to the man while sipping her drink. "Not drinking, Uncle?" April said, Uncle Tio just nodded then ordered a glass of drink with an annoyed expression. Who knows what was on the mind of a woman who refused to meet a man as handsome as Uncle Tio, if April were in that woman's position. April certainly wouldn't waste a golden opportunity like this. Sitting next to the man that April had often secretly watched from a distance, she never thought she would be this close to Uncle Tio. Although something like this couldn't be said to be too close, but every time she was close to Uncle Tio. April's heart beat increased and her knees felt like they couldn't move widely, April couldn't even stop glancing at the man. Wearing a tight shirt was always Uncle Tio's trademark, adding a masculine impression to him, especially since Uncle Tio's arms and fingers looked perfect. April really wanted to go home and scream in her room because she had seen a man who was so perfect in April's eyes. "What grade are you in school?" Uncle Tio said suddenly, April who was still in her imaginary world couldn't hear the man's question clearly. "Huh, what Uncle?" April replied while gaping. "What grade are you in now?" Uncle Tio asked again. "Oh! Grade twelve, Uncle." April answered, trying hard to get rid of her nervousness. "You're graduating soon!" Uncle Tio exclaimed. "Hehehe, yes!" April grimaced, their conversation was endless and Uncle Tio kept asking various questions that April was actually embarrassed to answer. April wanted to go home right now, while thinking of an excuse so she could leave Uncle Tio without offending the man. April glanced at the wall clock that was beautifully displayed on the cafe wall, the clock hands had shown nine. Suddenly an idea crossed April's mind. "Uncle, April go back first, okay? Because it's already nine o'clock." April said. "It's still nine o'clock." Uncle Tio replied while glancing at the watch on his left wrist. "April's playing time is limited to nine o'clock." April replied, convincing herself that she could go home quickly. "Okay, will you take me home?" "Huh, no need Uncle!" The girl refused. Hmm, I'm doomed if she actually takes me home! April cursed in her heart. "Later, Mom and Dad will be angry if someone takes me home, because I asked permission to go out with my friends." April's face started to panic. "But be careful! A girl goes home alone at this time of night." Uncle Tio said, April's feelings became full of flowers when she heard Uncle Tio being considerate of her. "Are you riding a motorbike?" Uncle Tio asked. "No, just walk. My house is near here." April replied. "Oh, near here.." "Okay, Uncle. April will go back first, okay?" April stood up from her seat feeling awkward, fortunately her legs could still stand even though her walking might be a little unsteady. But suddenly April saw some of her friends' glasses and plates, Amy and Nita hadn't even paid for them. Those two bastards hadn't paid yet, gosh! April cursed again in her heart, making sure the money in her bag was enough to pay for her friends' orders. Seeing April's confusion as she looked at the scattered table in front of her, Uncle Tio just smiled when he realized it. "Let Uncle pay!" Uncle Tio exclaimed, making April turn to look at the man while widening her eyes. "Really Uncle?" April asked to make sure that her ears weren't deaf. "Yes." Uncle Tio said, his big, baritone voice sounded softly as if soothing the hearts of anyone who heard it, including April. "Thank you very much, Uncle! April goes home first!" April exclaimed while smiling widely, a smile that for some reason amazed Uncle Tio when he saw it. An innocent smile from an innocent face without a single touch of make-up, Tio smiled when he saw the girl coming out of the cafe from a distance. Of course the girl was not wearing make-up, she was just a teenage girl who was still a student. And for some reason Tio's feelings changed that night, seeing the skinny girl who he often found stealing glances at him. But April was just a teenage girl who didn't know anything. Tio stroked his own chin slowly, his two eagle-sharp eyebrows watching April from inside the cafe where almost all the walls were made of glass. The girl walked on the edge of the highway alone, making Tio worried. But not long after the girl turned into an alley that Tio assumed was April's house, as the girl said that her house was not far from here. For some reason, Tio immediately took his motorbike keys and left the place. Riding his sports bike into the alley where April turned earlier, looking right and left hoping to find the girl so he could find out where she lived. Whatever Tio was doing, he just followed his heart and made sure the girl got home without being disturbed or kidnapped by anyone else. How ridiculous Tio's thoughts were! But suddenly he saw a girl with long jet black hair wearing a red shirt like the one April was wearing earlier, and it was the girl. Instantly Tio smiled after finding out where the girl lived, he immediately drove his sports bike and left the alley. "Whose motorcycle is that? It's noisy!" April asked who was just about to enter the house when she arrived, April's feelings tonight were all over the place. Hearing Uncle Tio's sincere words several times almost made her heart jump out, especially after finding out that Uncle Tio didn't meet a woman tonight. That indicated that the man didn't have a girlfriend, aka single! "Then what if he's single? Does he want to be with you?!" April said to herself.
