Chapter 1 - Handsome Man

He was a handsome man with an athletic body who often came to the volleyball court in the afternoon, at that time April was playing volleyball with her school friends. Seeing some tall men coming to the place made April's game start to falter a little, the two eyes of the jet-black-haired girl always glanced at the man wearing a red shirt that matched his shoes. Wet sweat slowly fell from the man's forehead and neck, there were two adjacent fields not far away. April was on the right field and the man played on the left field, since the arrival of the tall men, April and her friends' games felt no longer interesting. Their volleyball game was much better than the women's volleyball game, I don't know. Maybe because April came to the volleyball court just to add to her grades at school. Bugh! "Ouch!" One of April's friends was hit by a volleyball right in the head, making the girl fall and making everyone silent. The game stopped for a moment, including the game of the tall men who were looking at the next field. Suddenly their eyes met, the man who April often glanced at every afternoon while playing volleyball looked towards the field where April was playing. Seeing the girl who fell earlier, his sharp gaze shifted to April when he realized that the girl had been watching him since earlier. His gaze looked sharp, having been stealing glances at the man for several days. April just realized that the man had sharp eyebrows and also a sharp gaze, making April who was seen like that immediately shifted her gaze towards her friend who had fallen. "Are you okay?" Said one of April's other friends, the girl who fell stood up while holding her head which definitely felt sore and dizzy. Somehow the ball hit her head so hard, April had heard the sound of it hitting hard. After making sure the girl was okay, the tall men's game continued and the man in the red shirt that April admired returned to his game and no longer paid attention to April. It was just his feeling, or was it just him who was too big-headed. After that April and her friends stopped the game, because her friend still felt dizzy and had to go home. Even though it was not too late in the day and dusk had not even appeared. All of April's friends started to leave the place, unfortunately the girl did not bring her motorbike and all of her friends' motorbikes were already filled. April was left with one other friend who was also waiting to be picked up. "Didn't you bring a motorbike?" Her friend asked, April shook her head weakly while smiling. Sitting on the chair hoping that her father would quickly pick her up and take her away from this awkward feeling, sitting together watching the tall men's game there and being glanced at by those people. April really wanted to cover her face right now. "Eh, I've been picked up. Pril, go first!" Amy exclaimed, April just nodded as the girl passed her just like that. April really wanted to hitch a ride with her friend, asking if her mother's motorbike would still fit if April hitched a ride. Because Amy looked thin, even thinner than April. "Hehehe..." April just smiled inwardly, there was no way she could ride three people and cause a commotion. Especially in front of those tall men. "Ahh, gosh!" April kept tapping her shoes on the cement floor, looking at the street where many people were passing by and her father had yet to come. April felt like a stupid girl now, even though no one cared about the girl who was sitting alone while watching the volleyball game not far in front of her. She was just embarrassed if she kept being looked at by one by one by the men there, even though the man in the red shirt didn't glance at April anymore. Until the day began to dusk, and everyone there began to end their game. Finally April was picked up by her father who had just come home from work and stopped by to pick up April, the girl ran out of the field. Unbeknownst to her, the man in the red shirt watched April as the girl ran and opened the iron fence that separated the field from the highway, April immediately ran towards her father who was waiting on the side of the road. "You're late home?" April said who was sitting on the back seat of her father's motorbike. "Yes, overtime. Usually at this hour you're still playing?" Her father replied. "Nita's head was hit by a ball, so she came home saying she was dizzy." April replied. "Oh!" After that, April's father started driving his motorbike. Meanwhile, the man in the red shirt with eagle-sharp eyebrows was still looking at April until the girl's father's motorbike disappeared from his sight. During the time April was born and raised in this city, she had never seen the man here. Or maybe it was just April who rarely left the house and met many people, because only a few days ago the tall men came and played volleyball there. Indeed, there were several other people who often played volleyball on the field besides April and her friends, but the tall men felt foreign to her. Ciiittt ... The sound of the handbrake was heard loudly, April got off the motorbike and sat on the terrace, taking off her shoes and socks. Then entering the house while carrying a bag on her back, April had time to pass the kitchen and saw a pile of dirty dishes there. She took a deep breath, entered the room and threw her own bag on the bed. Then washed the dirty dishes. After finishing washing the dishes, April took off all her clothes after being in the bathroom. Cleaning her body after a day of activities until the afternoon sweating. It was already night, April had just finished taking a shower and entered her own room. Wearing pajamas and sitting at her desk while taking out all the stuff in her bag. Including her cellphone and some assignment books to make sure there was no homework today. Bored with some scattered books, April took her cellphone and looked at the tiny screen. Instantly April's brow furrowed in confusion after getting a call from a number she didn't recognize, the call was this afternoon. But April didn't know there was an incoming call because since morning her cellphone had been in her bag, April tried to call the number. Waiting for an answer, but one call there was no answer at all. Until finally she decided to call the number again for the second time, but the voice from the owner of the number turned out to be a man.
