Alberto looked at Lance, questioning whether he had grasped the meaning of what he had just said, "You're saying the film industry can help us?"
Lance nodded slightly. "I believe you have a lot of money on your side that needs to be banked."
Alberto certainly wouldn't deny that, as Lance also had over four hundred thousand that needed to be deposited in the bank, but it ultimately hadn't, because the money wouldn't withstand investigation.
In fact, he could easily store the money in the bank. Banks don't care whether the money you bring to the counter is ill-gotten or earned by you; they only want you to exchange it for a deposit certificate that costs them no more than two cents to provide.
But the Tax Bureau would care. If the bank tells the Tax Bureau that someone suddenly deposited four hundred thousand, the Tax Bureau would investigate upon receiving the information and find out this person has never declared high income nor paid taxes—investigate him.
