"Before this world was created, we, humans, used to be servants for gods. Our kind was placed on the bottom of the pyramid, only known to be vulnerable creatures, only used for the god's selfish desires. Slavery, starvation, extinction… Those were the things our ancestors suffered through. But because of them suffering through the extreme torture, our rage for them only deepened, but we, sadly, couldn't do anything, our kind was considered pathetic afterall."
"But, on one lucky day, one of the gods took pity on us and gave us the chance for redemption and brought a few lucky individuals to this world, to continue their legacy and create a new chapter to human's history. But even with this great opportunity, they had to live with demi-gods as payment… If I remember correctly, they're gods who either had been outcast or banned from ever returning back to their world ever again. The relationship between both kinds was… Rough, to say the least. But, after a while.. they got along, or at least they thought so. The demi-gods were ruthless, reckless, and liked to cause destruction upon our ancestors. The harm caused was immeasurable."
"Decades passed, and on one fateful day, one of the most powerful gods, Ere, passed away. Through the knowledge we know, gods that passed away will petrify, turning into meteors and float in the galaxies like flying tombs. But, unexpectedly, she fell through the galaxy and fell on Earth, our world. A few people saw the scene and decided to check it out…"
"The meteor was cracked open, only exposing a bright glow of colours, appearing inside the huge piece of stone. They carefully and cautiously walked towards the mysterious meteor and looked inside… There were 6 stones… Red, blue, green, white, yellow and black…. The 6 men took a hold of each stone… Suddenly, a wave of power washed over them… their size enlarged and their strength increased… After a few moments, the stones then disappeared… Leaving the men feeling and looking like actual gods. Ecstatic by their newfound discovery, they quickly headed back to their village…"
"But… as soon as they got there, the village was in absolute chaos. Houses were burning, sheds collapsing, and people trying to run away, leaving blood on their trails. The demi-gods were destroying everything, they seemed to have planned to attack the village a long time ago, all seperated and completing their assigned jobs. Angered and furious, the men were getting sick and tired of the unfair treatment humanity had gotten for millions of years. They quickly stepped forward and bravely attacked these cruel demi-gods…"
"Hours turned to days, days turned to weeks… The battle took an agonizing amount of time… The people scattered away, watching the fight in fear and amazement… By the time the battle had ended, the village had turned into ashes… In the end, the demi-gods had died… But not without sacrifices… The heroes died, but they were still triumphant, successfully getting rid of demi-gods and even passing down the powers they had gotten… The people shared the power with everyone else separated to 6 different kingdoms… And new powers also evolved."
"And even till now, this amazing story is shared everywhere! A great point of history we would always remember-"
I yawned, rubbing my eyes… "Huh..?" I said, drowsily. My tutor glared at me with a fiery gaze, clearly angered by how I interrupted his little speech, "Didn't anyone teach you any manners, your highness?.." he said, his voice hinting about his annoyance. My gaze went up and landed on him as I realized I must've fallen asleep during the lesson… I scratched my head in a bit of shame… "My apologies… I just… didn't have much interest in the history of humanity or whatever…" I said, chuckling nervously, I could see the burning rage in the tutor's eyes… He looked at me with pure rage, veins popped out of his head… "This is very important, your highness. History is what shapes us to who we are and living now." He said, angrily. I sighed, nodding in agreement, "I know… But isn't this story in 'The Myths of Legends' book? The one from the Heavenly Field?" I inquired with skepticism, "It's a myth…" The teacher gave me a cold, hard glare, furious that he'd been caught, "It's not! Now, who's the tutor here? You're just a young boy, you don't know anything!" He shouted furiously. "...Whatever." I sighed in defeat, there was no way I could knock some knowledge into his brain.
The tutor slams his fist onto the table, making a loud thud, startling me as I'm still sleepy. "Hey! Listen to me chump! You don't get to say anything about my lessons, weakling!" He shouts, grinning like a maniac, making me feel slightly uncomfortable. I stood up, challenging him with my gaze, despite feeling nervous, "You can't say that towards the prince! I have the power to get rid of you!" I stated, as confidently as I could. The tutor just laughed hysterically, clearly taking me as a joke. "P- Power!?- HaHA!- Are you being serious!? You're just a worthless freak with no powers! If you weren't a prince, you'd probably be dead by now! Learn your place, Vlad!"
FLAME
~An adventure of romance and battles.~
My eyes widened in shock by his harsh words, feeling my self-esteem plummet even further. Damn it… Why do people have to be so damn mean all the time…? The tutor kept laughing, and laughing… I had an urge to just hit him or slap him.. but I stood.. frozen in place… My gaze lingered on the cold, hard floor… I couldn't bring myself to talk back or defend myself… Because his words… had some truth in them… No.. they were entirely correct.
Suddenly, the tutor slapped me in the face… leaving a bright red mark on my pale cheek. My mouth was left agape, though I shouldn't be so surprised, this happens quite often anyway. But, to my luck, a maid had witnessed the scene as she walked in, her eyes widened and she quickly ran away to probably tell my parents. The tutor's eyes darted to and fro from me to the opened doors. He took a step back, his smirk never fading.
"What a bummer… Looks like your maid is going to snitch on me… Oh well, I won't go easy on you the next time we meet… Hope you learned your place, freak."
And just like that, he left, leaving through the wide open doorway. I sighed… groaning in pain as I touched my cheek, the pain stinged, he must've hit me really damn hard…. I clumsily made my way to my bedroom, looking at the mirror. My right cheek was in a burning red hue, it was so vivid too. I quickly grabbed a cloth and found a bucket of cold water in the bathroom. After soaking the cloth with the ice cold water, I gently patted it on my cheek, wincing and hissing in the process…
I sighed to myself, my thoughts in a whirlwind as I patted my cheek, using them as a distraction for my pain. The tutor's words really stung, but even so, he heard them many times…
'Worthless'
'Freak'
'Weak'
I've heard them a million times by now… and it's only been less than a year! I let out a deep sigh… Finally, after the red hue had become more dull, and the pain had subsided, I washed the cloth and tried to clear my mind. I took a deep breath, calming myself down. "Just don't think about it…" I thought to myself as I dried the cloth… I was most definitely overthinking all of this, right? Yeah, maybe…
After taking a nice warm bath, I changed and laid on my bed. Closing my eyes, I just wanted to ignore everything, everyone… This is the only time I can have peace, and I wasn't going to let a few words ruin that peace. I took one final deep breath before falling asleep, hoping the next day would be better…
