Sophia looked over and saw Ava charging towards her with a knife, her face twisted in a grimace.
Sophia smirked, showing no fear or concern for Ava.
"Kill me? You? Don't make me laugh."
Ava broke down.
She looked at Sophia's contemptuous expression and the memory of how Sophia had outsmarted her last night flooded her mind, driving her mad with rage.
"Die, you filthy woman!" she screamed as she lunged at Sophia's heart with the knife.
Sophia smiled lightly, her eyes full of amusement.
As Ava's knife approached her heart, Sophia extended her right hand and plunged a silver needle into Ava's arm, causing the knife to fall to the ground.
"My arm is numb, I can't use it," Ava exclaimed in shock, looking at Sophia with hatred. "What did you do to me?"
"I did nothing," Sophia replied innocently.
"Sophia!" Ava's eyes turned bloodshot as she stared at Sophia like a demon. "You shameless woman, you got me locked up!"
"You got yourself locked up by engaging in illegal activities. It's not my fault," Sophia said coldly, her tone laced with sarcasm. "But I'm sure your bail must have been expensive."
"You framed me!" Ava was hit where it hurt the most and she lifted her leg to kick Sophia like a madwoman.
Sophia dodged Ava's attack with a sideways step and spoke with an icy tone, "You framed me first, but now you're trapped in your own web. I saw the news report about you yesterday, and you looked really pathetic in the photo."
"Sophia!" Ava was furious. "Mom was right. Blood is thicker than water. You're just a wolf in sheep's clothing that she picked up from the trash can."
Sophia's face stiffened. "What did you say?"
"I said you're not her real daughter," Ava roared at Sophia. "You're just a white-eyed wolf that mom picked up from the trash can!"
"Ava!" Sophia's voice was stern. "You wanted to ruin me first last night, and I was just defending myself. Don't say things that go too far."
"Too far?" Ava saw Sophia's face change and felt a sense of satisfaction. She sneered, "I'm just telling the truth. You really were picked up from the trash can by mom."
Sophia clenched her hands into fists and struggled to control her emotions.
"I don't want to hear your nonsense when you're angry," she turned to leave."Who says it's nonsense? I overheard mom and dad talking about it. That's how I found out the truth," Ava glared at Sophia with malice. "Otherwise, why do you think mom only spoils us three siblings and beats you up?"
"Sophia, you've been nothing but a toy to your mother since you were a child. When she's happy, she rewards you with a smile, and when she's not, you become our family's punching bag!"
"I could beat you to death and no one would care. You're just a smelly woman who has no blood relation to us, foolishly taking the blame for us and working to earn money for us to spend. It's hilarious to think about it now."
"That's enough." Sophia turned around and slapped Ava in the face. "You're insane!"
Ava laughed out loud with five finger marks on her face.
"I'm not insane. I know exactly what I'm saying!"
"Sophia, you were picked up from a trash can by my mother! If you don't believe me, you can go to her bedroom and look in the third cabinet for your birth certificate. Except for your name, the birth date on the certificate is completely different from yours now."
"If you don't believe me, we can do a paternity test together, which will prove that we have no blood relation!"
Sophia trembled all over as she listened to Ava's words.
"I don't believe you. You're lying!"
"Haha..." Ava laughed wildly. "Whether I'm lying or not, you can check it yourself. I'm also ready to do the test with you at any time!"
"For our family, the only purpose of raising you is to sell you and exchange you for our family's wealth and prosperity!"
"Sophia, do you understand now why my mother loves me so much and yet betrayed you? Because in her eyes, you are just an object, something we can use and sell at will!" Ava sneered at Sophia, who was momentarily stunned and at a loss for words.
"As long as you behave and let me use you as a stepping stone to become Mrs. Garcia, I will keep this secret," Ava continued, looking smugly at the pale-faced Sophia. "But if you don't help me and instead refuse to sell yourself to the Garcia Family to make us all rich and prosperous, and even let me be defiled by that disgusting fat pig Chen Dong, then don't blame me for telling you this cruel truth."
"Chen...Chen Dong?" Sophia was once again shocked, feeling a chill and anger coursing through her bones.
She immediately thought of Joseph and the ugly, fat old man Chen Dong.
Chen Dong, wasn't he the man who had tricked her and caused her to lose something precious to her because of Joseph's machinations?
Suddenly, her stomach churned and she could barely imagine that Joseph would use such a disgusting old man to plot against his fiancée.She was filled with sadness, anger, and resentment, feeling like she would rather die than live.
"Yes, Chen Dong," Ava sneered at Sophia, "I even heard from Master Garcia that you are no longer pure, because you were already tricked by that disgusting old man."
"You, such a pure saint, value something that is not for your beloved man, but for a fat pig. It's really hilarious," Ava sneered.
"You're the same," Sophia was furious.
"I'm not the same," Ava mocked Sophia. "I haven't cared for a long time. I've been with more men than you've had meals. You're so pure, ha..."
Sophia was completely lost.
Ava saw that she had successfully retaliated against Sophia and felt proud of herself.
"You have the key to the house. There's no one at home today. Go back and take a look for yourself. A dirty woman who was picked up from the trash can and humiliated by an old man, haha..."
Sophia didn't know when Ava had left. When she realized it, she rushed to the suburban house like crazy.
As Ava had said, there was no one at home.
She quickly went to Abigail's bedroom and found a black shoebox containing the birth certificates of the three siblings.
When she found her own birth certificate, there was no name of her parents, only her name, Sophia, and her birth date was a year younger than the one she had been using for years.
She hurriedly opened Ava's birth certificate, which had the names of Henry and Abigail as her parents, and the birth date was exactly the same as Ava's.
The four siblings, only she had a different birth certificate.
"How is this possible..." Her teeth were chattering as she whispered in disbelief. She couldn't have lived her entire life in deception for over twenty years.
Initially, she didn't want to believe Ava's words, but the birth certificate in her hand proved that Ava was telling the truth.
Was she really the wild child that Abigail had picked up from the trash bin?
Who were her biological parents?
Why were they abandoning her?
"Honey, you're back?" Abigail's angry voice rang out. "You come back and don't even bother closing the door? Things are missing in the house, and I'm not done with you yet."
Sophia suddenly snapped out of her thoughts as Abigail came back.
She glanced at the certificate, closed the cabinet door, and quickly walked downstairs.
Abigail must know about her true identity, and she wanted to ask her."Why are you here in my house?" Abigail's face was full of anger when she saw Sophia. "Get the hell out of here!"
