She felt someone wrapping their arms around her shoulders. She was off balance and she fell onto his chest, instinctively grabbing onto his clothes. Although her ears were still buzzing, the world no longer spun around her.
"Why were you driving like that?"
He was really close to her ear now, almost whispering in it. His breath on her ear was cool and comforting against the heat of her feverish body. She got goosebumps, and the familiar clean scent was unprecedentedly clear to her—like the smell of purple wisteria in Yan Garden blooming or the fresh grass during an early morning run.
When the buzzing faded away, she finally stood steady, let go of him, and sat back down.
