Chapter 2 - Silver lining

The room fell silent, and everyone looked at Harden in surprise. Harden's face fell, and he looked at Quinn in confusion.

"What do you mean, none?" Harden asked.

Quinn looked at Harden with a serious expression. "It means your mythical force doesn't fit into any of the six classes," Quinn explained.

Harden's face fell even further, and he looked like he had been punched in the gut. He didn't know what to say or do. He had always dreamed of becoming a powerful mythical warrior, but now it seemed like that dream was impossible.

As Harden stood there in shock, the room began to murmur. People were whispering to each other, and some were even laughing. Harden's face burned with shame and anger. He didn't know what to do, but he knew he couldn't just stand there and take it.

With a newfound determination, Harden turned to Quinn and said, "I don't care what class I am. I'm going to become the strongest mythical fighter in the world, no matter what."

This statement made people burst into laughter once more. "Is he a comedian?" a person asked. "Maybe the organization set this up as comic relief," another replied. People laughed so hard that some were even on the floor. Harden had already become the laughing stock.

With his head down, he walked out of the hall without even saying a word to anyone. He felt like the world was against him. He had completely lost confidence. His father and his brother were regarded as heroes, so why was his case different?

On his way home, Hawkins noticed that his brother's expression was sour, but he didn't want to force anything out of him. When Harden suddenly asked in a loud tone, "Do you think I can become the strongest even without a class?" Hawkins paused before he replied with a smile, "Of course, you can. Don't think it's going to be easy, because it's not. But I promise I won't rest until you're the strongest there is."

Harden pleaded with his brother, who was in the martial arts class, to train him. Hawkins began demonstrating the most basic martial arts technique, the palm strike. Suddenly, Harden's eyes turned yellow, and he felt like he understood everything about the technique. To satisfy his curiosity, he gave the technique a try, and surprisingly, he did it.

Could it be that he was in the martial arts class, or could it be something entirely different? Either way, Harden didn't care. With this, he thought, I can realize my dream. With this, I can get my revenge. Harden smiled as he thought to himself.
