SERIN
The air in the hall grew thicker as my father stood up, clearing his throat with that pompous, self-assured air I had grown so used to. His voice, sharp and commanding, cut through the tense silence.
"Meet Zade, the future leader of Kantar" he said, his words deliberate, as if he were making some grand announcement. "He is going to be your fiancé."
The room seemed to hold its breath. Kairan's eyes snapped to Zade, his body stiffening, and I felt the temperature in the room drop. The golden in his eyes coming back, his hands clenching at his sides as he took a step forward, his posture tight with restraint. I could see it in his stance: the barely controlled fury. It was as though a switch had been flipped, and I knew in that moment, Kairan was ready to tear my father's world apart. His possessiveness and primal protectiveness were at the forefront, and it made the air hum with his dominance.
"Fiancé?" Kairan's voice was dangerously low, like a growl that rumbled deep in his chest. His posture was rigid, his entire being radiating barely restrained anger. He took a step forward, his eyes locked on my father, but I placed a hand on his chest to stop him.
"No" I said firmly, my voice loud enough to echo through the room as I turned to face my father, my chin raised defiantly. "I'm sorry, but I already have a mate."
The room fell silent for a moment, tension thick in the air. My father's gaze hardened, his lips curling into a cruel sneer. "A mate who can't even mark you properly? What kind of alpha is he?"
I didn't hesitate. Reaching up, I swept my hair to the side, revealing the mark Kairan had given me just hours ago. The intricate, dark crimson design was unmistakable....a mark that screamed Kairan, with its fierce, elegant lines and its aura of dominance.
"My mate did mark me" I said, my voice steady. "And he's everything you'll never be"
"Blessing.... I was the one who loved you raised you-"
"As a tool to strengthen your pack" I cut him off anger radiating through my body.
Kairan's hand moved to my neck, his thumb brushing over the mark possessively. I could feel the tension in his body, the barely controlled rage that simmered beneath the surface. His gaze didn't leave my father, his eyes glowing golden with a dangerous light.
Before anyone could respond, Zade's companion stepped forward, his expression smug. "A mark doesn't mean anything" he said, his tone dripping with arrogance. "You're still just a weak little omega, easily replaceable."
The words barely left his mouth before Kairan moved. In one swift motion, he grabbed a knife from the table and threw it with deadly precision. The blade sank into his mouth, silencing him instantly as he crumpled to the ground. Blood pooled around him, but Kairan didn't even blink.
The room erupted into chaos, gasps and cries echoing around us. Another voice....one of my father's supporters rose in protest, hurling another insult at me. Kairan didn't hesitate, throwing another knife that struck the man in the throat.
A third voice joined in, but it was quickly silenced by another knife in the heart. Kairan was a blur of deadly motion, his dark side fully unleashed. He didn't stop, his eyes glowing with a primal, terrifying intensity.
Someone threw a vase at him and with a flick of my wrist, the vase didn't hit him instead with a silver light it was thrown at a wall shattering.
My mother's voice rang out, shrill and desperate. "Serin! Stop him!"
I turned to her, my voice cold and steady. "A mere omega like me can't do shit, remember?"
Kairan's hand tightened around mine, his gaze searing into my mother, his voice a dark, dangerous promise. "You....plan anything like this again and I'll kill you and your husband in such a way that heaven and hell will refuse to accept your body."
The tension reached its peak. And in a single, swift movement, Kairan took my hand in his, pulling me toward the door. I didn't look back. I didn't need to. His possessiveness was all that mattered in that moment. His love, his dark side, his desire...everything. He was taking me away, and I was ready to follow him anywhere.
The ride back was tense, silent, and unbearable. Kairan hadn't spoken a single word since we left the pack, his emotions barely contained beneath the surface. His blue eyes still glowed faintly golden, like molten fire, and his grip on the steering wheel was so tight I thought it might snap. I stayed quiet, sensing the storm raging inside him.
When we finally reached his apartment, he was out of the car before I could say anything, his broad shoulders rigid and his movements sharp. I followed him inside, the sound of my heels clicking against the floor the only noise in the heavy silence.
"Kairan" I called softly, closing the door behind me.
He didn't respond. Instead, he stood in the center of the living room, his back to me, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. His body radiated anger, possessiveness, and something darker...something that made the air around him feel charged and dangerous.
"Kairan, please talk to me" I said, taking a hesitant step toward him.
Still, he didn't move. The silence stretched on, suffocating, until finally, he turned. His golden eyes locked onto mine, and the raw intensity in them stole my breath. Before I could say another word, he closed the distance between us in a few long strides, trapping me against the wall.
One hand braced against the wall beside my head, the other gripped my chin, tilting my face up to meet his gaze. His touch was firm, unyielding, but not painful. His body pressed into mine, the heat of him searing through the thin fabric of my dress.
"You want me to talk?" His voice was low and rough, filled with barely restrained anger. "What do you want me to say, Luna? That I wanted to rip their throats out for the way they talked about you? That I wanted to destroy everyone in that room who dared to look at you like you weren't mine?"
His words sent a shiver down my spine, but I couldn't look away. His eyes were blazing, his emotions laid bare in a way I had never seen before.
"Kai, you don't have to—"
"Don't" he growled, cutting me off. His hand left my chin to grip my waist, pulling me even closer. "Don't tell me what I have to do, Luna. You don't understand. Every second I was in that house, I was fighting the urge to kill. And then your father—" He broke off, his jaw tightening. "Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to sit there and listen to him talk about you like that?"
"I know—"
"You don't" he snapped, his voice dropping even lower. "You don't know what it's like to have every instinct screaming at you to protect what's yours, to claim what's yours, and to watch while people try to take it from you."
His words hit me like a physical force, but instead of fear, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and something deeper—something primal.
"I am yours" I said softly, my voice trembling but steady. "Kai, I'm yours. Only yours."
His eyes flicked to the mark on my neck, the one he had given me earlier that day, and his expression shifted. The anger and possessiveness were still there, but now there was something else—something vulnerable and raw.
"You're mine" he said, his voice rough but quieter now. His hand moved from my waist to trace the mark with his fingers, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "Every inch of you is mine, Serin. Do you understand that?"
"Yes" I whispered, my breath hitching as his fingers trailed down my neck.
But it wasn't enough for him. His hand moved to the back of my head, tangling in my hair, and he tilted my head back to expose my throat. "Say it" he commanded, his voice dark and unrelenting.
"I'm yours" I said, my voice shaking but firm. "Only yours, Kai"
A growl rumbled deep in his chest, and his lips crashed onto mine. The kiss was searing, consuming, and I felt myself melt into him. His hands moved to my hips, lifting me effortlessly and pinning me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist, my arms around his neck, as he kissed me like he was claiming me all over again.
But this time, there was no hesitation, no holding back. His kisses were rough and demanding, his touch possessive and unyielding. He was showing me every ounce of his darkness, every part of his enigma nature that he usually kept hidden. And I loved it.
One of his hands slipped under my dress, gripping my thigh as his other hand moved to my waist, pulling me even closer. His lips left mine to trail down my neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin near my mark.
"Do you know what you do to me?" he growled against my skin. "Do you know how insane you make me?"
"Kairan" I whispered, my voice trembling with need.
"You're mine" he said again, his voice rough and raw. His hand slid higher, teasing me, and I gasped, my nails digging into his shoulders.
He didn't stop. His fingers found their destination, moving with a deliberate slowness that made my head spin. He was both rough and gentle, his touch firm but careful, as if he was afraid of breaking me.
"Sen benimsin, Luna," he murmured, his lips brushing against my ear. "Every part of you is mine, and I'm never letting you go."
I couldn't speak, couldn't think. All I could do was cling to him as he pushed me closer to the edge, his touch sending waves of pleasure coursing through me.
When I finally came undone, my body trembling in his arms, he held me close, his lips pressing against my temple. "Benimsin" he whispered again, his voice softer now but no less possessive. "Always mine."
And in that moment, as I caught my breath, I knew I wouldn't want it any other way. I said to him as he took care of me and laid me on bed. "Kai..." I said as he laid beside me, pulling the cover on us.
"I love it when you talk in Turkish... even if I don't understand most of it."
He chuckled softly, the sound deep and comforting. Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to my temple, his lips warm against my skin.
"İyi geceler, Luna. Seni seviyorum." (Good night, Luna. I love you.)
The deep timbre of his voice was soothing, and though I was on the edge of sleep, I managed a small smile. I did not what he said but had a hunch.
"Good night, Kairan," I whispered, my heart full as I drifted off, safe and loved in his arms.
