Brago grunted. "Agreed. We need to determine the cause before we rely too heavily on these enchantments in battle."
Arthur nodded, his mind already racing through possible explanations. "I'll need more time to analyze the data. The memory orbs contain all the necessary information, but I have to sift through it carefully."
Meron leaned back, arms crossed. "Then you'd best get to work, kid."
Arthur smirked. "I already am."
With a flick of his wrist, the emerald orbs swirled around him, pulsing with stored knowledge, waiting to be unraveled. As they moved into the library, Arthur continued his analysis while the others waited in tense anticipation.
Suddenly, Arthur leaped to his feet. "Eureka! I've figured out how the regulator rune failed."
Morgan's eyes narrowed. "What happened?"
Arthur exhaled sharply. "That damn cat switched the light into darkness, which caused the light ceiling array to attempt a transition into the darkness ceiling array."
Brago frowned. "Why would the elements shift like that?"
Meron's brow furrowed. "And how was it even possible?"
Morgan's expression turned thoughtful. "It's only possible through mastery of the elements."
Sylpha leaned forward. "Which elements are we talking about?"
Morgan gestured with her hands, as if weaving the concept into the air. "Elements are linked in pairs—Fire and Water, Air and Earth, Light and Darkness. If one is disturbed, its counterpart reacts accordingly."
The revelation left the group in contemplative silence. Over the next few days, Arthur continued his research, refining his understanding of elemental interplay. When his strength finally returned, he approached Brago with a request.
"Brago, may I use your large forge master lab?"
The forge master studied Arthur for a moment before nodding. "You've earned it. Let's see what you can do."
Jirni, Apollo, Elina, Rena, Tista, Sylpha, Meron, Friya, Phloria, and Quilla joined Arthur and Brago in the forge master lab. As Arthur stepped forward, thousands of glowing runes materialized in the air around him. The sight left everyone speechless—no one had ever seen such a vast number of runes conjured at once.
With a wave of his hand, Arthur summoned several wraiths simultaneously.
Brago turned to Morgan. "Is that your brother doing this?"
Morgan nodded. "He's summoning all the arrays and spells needed for the enchanting process."
Emerald flames ignited around him, and a hammer appeared in Arthur's grasp like an extension of his will. In front of him, four intricate arrays formed, while the rest of the runes collapsed inward, gathering into the arrays and condensing into small orbs of concentrated magic.
The six fragmented pieces of Morgan's shield began to float in front of Arthur. With a simple flick of his wrist, thousands of threads of magic wove together, connecting the shield's fragments. The magic surged, binding the pieces seamlessly, as Arthur continued his meticulous work, reshaping and reinforcing the shield with an artistry that left even the most seasoned forge masters in awe.
