In a large forest, a lizard with bright red scales and pure white horns with rings on them curiously scurried around, Rain was getting used to her new body, she found she can camouflage herself ans also has heat seeking eyes.
She was not bothered by her new form instead… "So this is how it feels to be a reptilian, cool it feels different from being human"
Yeah…she liked her new form, Suddenly she heaed the sound of slithering behind her, then hissing and then she could feel a warm wave of air behind her.
When she turned to look, she was a snake directly looking at her. "…A cute snake, are you lost"
As the snake was about to attack her, it looked into her eyes and suddenly felt it's very soul was restrained by a terrifying force, it was as if a slavemaster was branding their mark on their slaves claiming them as theirs.
The serpent shuddered. "I pay heed to the queen"
A cold voice was sounded from her mind, Rain blinked. "Are you the one talking?"
She asked curiously, the serpent hissed. "Yesssss, i am at your command queen"
Rain tilted her head in confusion but at the same time her tail wagged with excitement. "oh then are there any more reptile friends around here"
The serpent suddenly stopped. "Yess queen, there are a lot in this forest and some land drakes too, though those lesser dragons are a bit prideful"
Rain tilted her head in confusion. "Aren't you a snake?"
The serpent hissed."I am"
"Well then your just weak and insignificant and your calling them lesser beings while you're much weaker than them, that's confident, I like you" Rain said with a cheerful tone.
The serpent coiled slightly, unsure if it had just been insulted or praised. Its forked tongue flicked nervously, tasting Rain's presence in the air. "I merely serve with loyalty, Queen. But those drakes… they see themselves above all others."
Rain's bright yellow eyes glimmered with curiosity. "Interesting. Maybe I'll have a little chat with them." Her tail wagged again, the forest floor rustling beneath it. "What do you think? Will they listen to me?"
The snake's mind voice grew cautious. "If they see your power, they will bend. But beware—their pride makes them foolish and fierce."
Rain grinned, her sharp teeth glinting. "Then that makes it more fun! Where's the nearest one?"
The serpent reluctantly slithered forward, leading her deeper into the forest. Trees towered above, their thick branches casting shadows across the dense undergrowth. Rain's heat-sensitive eyes picked up faint glows—hidden reptiles camouflaged among the leaves and rocks. She felt their gazes fixate on her as she moved, some curious, others wary.
After a few minutes, they emerged in a clearing where sunlight pierced through the canopy. Perched atop a large rock was a creature that looked like a cross between a lizard and a small dragon. Its emerald-green scales shimmered in the light, and sharp ridges lined its spine. It snorted, smoke curling from its nostrils as it watched Rain approach.
"What's this?" the drake growled, voice thick with disdain. "A serpent bringing a plaything to my domain?"
Rain's grin widened, unbothered by the insult. "Plaything? Oh, I was hoping you'd be more fun than that. Maybe you're all bark and no bite?"
The drake's eyes narrowed, clearly provoked. "I will not be mocked by some lizard with delusions of grandeur!"
The Drake glared at her, it's eyes moved towards the gem on her head and then he suddenly froze. An image appeared
In the outskirts of space, two yellow eyes bigger than this world appeared in the endless darkness.
A deep, primal fear gripped the drake as the vision unfolded before its mind's eye. Those colossal yellow eyes, gleaming with ancient power, seemed to pierce through the very fabric of existence. Stars flickered and dimmed under their gaze. A presence beyond comprehension loomed, vast and eternal.
The drake's scales trembled, its previous arrogance dissipating into pure terror. Smoke faltered from its nostrils as it instinctively lowered its head. "Th-Those eyes… What… are you?" it stammered, voice quivering.
Rain blinked, tilting her head in confusion. "Huh? What do you mean?"
The drake's breathing was ragged as it struggled to regain composure. "I saw… something. A force beyond this world. And it came from you." It hesitated, then bowed its head even lower. "Forgive me, Queen. I spoke out of ignorance."
Rain's eyes widened in surprise. "Queen? Again with that title. First the snake, now you?" She scratched her chin thoughtfully. "I guess I must be pretty cool if you guys keep calling me that." Her tail wagged with delight.
The serpent beside her hissed triumphantly. "The drake sees the truth now, Queen. They will fall in line if you show them your presence."
Rain shrugged. "I wasn't really trying to be scary, but… sure, I'll take it." She stepped forward, her red scales gleaming under the sunlight. "Hey, drake guy. What's your name?"
The drake hesitated, still shaken. "I am Vaelor, guardian of this territory."
"Cool name." Rain grinned. "So, Vaelor, are there any other big, scary creatures I should meet around here? I kinda like this whole 'make new friends or fight them' thing."
Vaelor lifted his head slightly, still wary. "There are more. The elders, the greater drakes who command the skies… and the ancient one that slumbers beneath the forest floor. But none will challenge you if they sense what I saw."
Rain's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Greater drakes and ancient beings, huh? Sounds fun! Maybe I'll wake up that ancient one just for kicks."
Vaelor's eyes widened in alarm. "No, Queen! The ancient one is dangerous beyond measure. It slumbers for a reason. Its rage once scorched this entire forest, leaving it barren for centuries."
Rain tilted her head, intrigued. "So it's super strong? That's even better. Strong friends or strong challenges—I win either way."
The serpent hissed nervously. "Queen, perhaps… meeting the lesser drakes first would be wise. Their pride can be broken easily, unlike the ancient one."
Vaelor nodded in agreement. "Indeed. The lesser drakes are scattered across this forest. If you assert your rule over them, the entire forest will become your domain."
Rain's tail wagged eagerly. "Ooh, a whole forest of reptile buddies? I like that idea. Let's go meet them!" She turned to the serpent. "You lead the way this time. Show me where these prideful drakes are hanging out."
The serpent coiled slightly before slithering ahead. "This way, Queen. Their nests are hidden deep in the eastern cliffs."
Vaelor hesitated. "I will accompany you, Queen. My presence may help keep the others in line."
Rain flashed him a sharp grin. "Good idea, Vaelor. You can be my hype-drake."
The drake blinked, clearly unfamiliar with the term. "I… will serve as you command, Queen."
As they ventured deeper into the forest, Rain couldn't help but marvel at how easily the creatures submitted to her presence. Whatever strange power she now possessed, it was undeniable. Yet, despite the newfound respect and fear from the forest's inhabitants, Rain remained more fascinated than burdened by her role as their so-called queen.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the serpent suddenly halted. "Queen, we are close. I can sense their heat signatures beyond the ridge."
Rain's eyes flickered with excitement as her heat vision activated. Multiple glowing forms clustered near a rocky cliff, their bodies curled atop sunlit ledges.
"Looks like a party," Rain said with a grin. "Time to crash it."
Vaelor's voice was tense. "Be cautious, Queen. They will not bow easily."
Rain laughed. "Good. What's the point of fun if there's no challenge?"
