(Feeding yall cuz it's been a minute)
(1st pov)
The Arcane Core was really interesting to study. As weeks went by, I poured a lot of time and energy into my dive into the nitty gritty of it all.
The Core that rested in that weird mind state is what I think is my own embodiment of The Arcane, the threads being channels of Mana or just Arcane Energy. When I connect them to my personal Core, I feeds me the energy which slowly strengthens me magically.
I've done some minor things, like literally just sending the energy out in a bolt, and I've noticed that it's slightly increased in power. As my Core is 'fed', it grows bigger, allowing me to grab and use bigger threads of energy.
That's a bit confusing, so imagine it like lifting weights. As I get stronger from using one weight, I can lift heavier weights and grow even faster.
...
Okay that's enough brain blast for a while. Right now, I was sitting around the round table, inside of the newly constructed tree house. All around me were the other council members from before, Vander, Vi, Powder, Ekko, and Ben.
"Theres a shipment of unrefined hex crystals importing from the mines in three days time. I have sourced from the Topside telling me that the research team sponsored by the Kirammans and the rest of the council will be there as well." They all nodded to me, in the Warwick wardrobe.
"I have another task to conplete while the chaos distracts the enforcers. Said chaos, will be you." Ben tilted his head in confusion.
"Us?"
I nodded. "All of us who have trained will get used to these babies," I pulled out my hoverboard from it's place in my back, the things were surprisingly light. "Curtacy of yours truly, Little Man over there, as well as Jinx." I said, calling them by their monikers, not that they actually needed them as they never wore their masks except for on missions.
They just wanted to have a 'cool name' like me.
"What the hell are those things?"
"They're boards that hover."
"..." (-_-)
"..." ('~')
"Fine I give. Just make sure I can't fall off the damn thing."
I grinned under my mask. "Oh, you're gonna love this."
"And I'm gonna love hearing you scream and cry and- Ahem. It's going to be a wonderful time teaching you." I smiled, not that he could see though.

(Days later, the day of thr shipment)
Just as planned, the first shipment of hex crystals is set to arrive today. In about an hour to be exact. It wasn't perfect, but he had trained about a hundred men and women to be able to use the hoverboards effiecntly. If they were fast enough, the raid would be a quick and easy hit.
Nyx, along with several other people like Jayce and Victor were led down to the docks as a presentation. It was a political stunt that the Kiramman family was pulling to gain the people's support.
And just on time, the floating ship appeared drifting down the canal, stock full of supplies and thousands of unrefined hex crystals. People started to cheer, mostly exited about how there was free food, but some were actually exited about the project.
But just as the ship drifted by a wall, one that had several disconnected sewage pipes, a group of people flew out of them, riding glowing green hoverboards and rushing towards the ship.
The guards panicked, not expecting to actually have to do their jobs today with so many watching, so they could t react in time as nearly all of them were rushed with brutal efficiency. Some of the insurgents focused the guards, taking them out so they couldn't fight back, while others clearly had other jobs.
A good group began to slap little black disks onto boxes, at least four each. Hiemerdinger, who was watching from a distance, keenly noticed they were the same mechanism that created the lift required to make a hoverboard functional. Essentially, they were anti gravity disks.
With the disks in place, the crates started to float, and the insurgents attached them to the back of their boards before rushing off while the rest continued to grab more. Finally reaching to the commotion, the head of the guards screeched out.
"Stop them! Fire at will!"
Nyx smirked on the inside while watching the commotion. His plan was going well and it seemed that the final piece was being placed. He watched as a smaller figure, a young girl, drifted up to the reinforced balloon that kept the ship in the air.
She took out a few little iron cans, shook them, and started spraying out green and black pain with passion, quickly painting a vibrant image of a firelight.
She was the last to leave, flying away on her board just as the guards arrived on a separate ship. All in all, this was a quick, efficient attack that did it's job.
For one, the Firelights got all the supplies they wanted out of it, and the second thing they managed was completely and utterly embarrassing the enforcers.
In the following weeks, the undercity relished in the victory, even if they hadn't taken part. It was a blemish on the enforcer's 'perfect' record and that was enough for them.
The topside was completely different. The enforcers were sent running to try and gain control if the situation, sending search parties into the undercity and the sewers, only to come up with nothing.
Nyx had prepared for this, sealing the open entrance with a bit of Arcane tomfoolery and making it only accessible via a password. If you didn't know it, the entrance would look exactly the same as every other part of the abandoned line, making the search impossible.
They also found nothing amoung the people, no mater how rough they got. Zaunians are tough, and knew when to hold ther ground against the enforcers. Not to mention that nearly no one knew about who the Firelights were.
Even when Vander was questioned, he sent a silent glance towards Nyx before shrugging. "If I knew about it, I'd of been there helping their raid. Don't think I was there though, had a pack of weasels to snuff out."
Saying this, he glanced at Violet, who was known to be a bit too...rowdy. That moment had lived on for a long time, Mylo and Powder calling her a weasel despite her resistance.
In summary: Nyx was a very happy gang leader.
