Li Huang woke up with a few papers on top of her
She raised an eyebrow and began looking them over.
The first and second papers had the names of a few places and a brief introduction.
"Yin palace, yin teachings, and female only, seclusive."
"Five Yin Myriad sect, teaches all things based on the five elements, leaning to yin and female only, twin sect with Five Yang Myriad sect."
"Black Winter Empire, long history with many techniques, female and male, must become a citizen of the empire and either become a noble or enter the military."
Li Huang continued reading the papers, but those three were the ones she liked the most.
Of course, they had their flaws.
The Yin Palace was secluded, so she would not have much freedom traveling the world.
The Five Yin Myriad Sect was only half of the sect, and sect members were, at very least, encouraged to cultivate with each other as the sect had a few dual cultivation techniques.
and the Black Winter Empire... she couldn't just become a noble, so she would have to enter the military, and that was a big no-no.
The others were either too weak or conflicted with what she wanted.
The best and worst group was the twelve-Point Star Academy.
It was a place where sages and other righteous scholars were born.
a really strong place but with no real strength, and she didn't want to spend her time debating something with a teacher.
On the third and last paper was a tounament announcement.
"Black Winter Empire Tournament, a prestigious event that happens once every ten years on the northern continent, many sects all over the continent converge there to search for promissing disciples or show off their own disciples."
"Before the tournament, the twelve-point star academy gives all the youths a test to measure their skills and overall future potential; all the sects are allowed to see the results of the test, and then they can find promising youths and even give offers to those youths in exchange for them joining their sects."
"It's better than going from one to one," Li Huang said under her breath as she looked at the details of the tournament. "
It was organized by the empire, but by all intents and purposes, it was a neutral event.
Li Huang got up and opened her door only to find Xie Ning standing there.
"I will go to the tournament; if I find a good sect that wants me, I might join them, but if no one makes an offer for me to join them, I will come back home."
Xie Ning nodded. "Let's go then. I already made your bag. Say good-bye to everyone. We will be on the road for a two days. We will arrive only two days before the event."
Li Huang smiled and nodded. She gave Xie Ning the papers before going to meet her aunts and say good-bye.
As she turned the corner, she was suddenly drowned in hugs and tears as more than ten women jumped at her.
Li Huang smiled as she hugged them all back.
They all loved her as much as she loved them; that was a fact.
To suddenly hear that Li Huang was leaving and might not come back, many of them broke down crying.
Li Huang was basically a child for all of them.
and she was also a child of their best friend, Li Ai.
After many hugs and kisses, Li Huang was finally let go to breathe and look at her aunts.
"Look, it's not like I will suddenly be gone forever; I might even come back here without even entering a sect or group."
"I love you all from the depths of my heart; you are all part of my family. Being gone for some time from you all will hurt me, but I will remember each and every one of you."
Li Huang smiled as she looked at her aunts.
"No matter what, I will always know that each and every one of you loves me just as I love you all, and that is enough for me."
Li Huang then hugged each and everyone of her aunts one last time, as she knew in her heart the chances she might see them again were slim.
After many tears and heartfelt hugs, Li Huang finally exited the brothel she called home, and Xie Ning was already waiting for her in a carriage.
On the front, two muscular horses bigger than Li Huang herself
a coachman waiting for Li Huang to begin directing the horses
Li Huang got inside the carriage, and Xie Ning smiled, and the carriage began moving.
Li Huang watched as she approuched the city's wall.
Finally, she passed by the walls she knew since she was a baby in this world.
The outside was filled with trees.
As she looked back, she saw the name of the city.
Raging River City
and it did not take long for Li Huang to find the so-called raging river.
In fact, the coachman entered the river with the carriage and horses.
Li Huang's eyes widened as Xie Ning smiled.
Not a drop of water entered the carriage as the horses ran with the river.
It was then that Li Huang understood why they would arrive so quickly at the empire.
With the horses running with the river and the carriage having its weight lowered because of the water, it would be a quick trip.
Li Huang turned to Xie Ning, and she smiled before explaining
"Those horses are spiritual beasts with a high affinity for water, so they can run and walk faster in places with water, and the carriage is made from a special wood from a spiritual tree that makes it lighter and impermeable."
"Anyway, this place is big enough for you to train; here are your new weights; you can improve your strength a bit before the tournament." Xie Ning smiled as she took off a bracelet, anklet, and vest from her bag and gave it to Li Huang. Her face dropped a bit, but she put them on only to bite down at her teeth.
She almost couldn't keep her back straight.
"What's the problem? You wanted a weight; there you go. Get on the ground and give me at least ten."
Xie Ning gave Li Huang a light slap on the back that caused her to fall over on the floor.
Li Huang, already on the floor, decided to try and do the ten push-ups.
She barely made two before collapsing on the floor.
After a bit, she did another two, another two, another two, and a final two to complete the ten Xie Ning asked
"You have four days to train, two in here in the carriage and two on the empire."
"In here you can do things like pushups and crunches, while on the city you can do a run or jumping jacks, as there isn't enough space to do them in here."
Xie Ning began going off on what exercises Li Huang could do in the enclosed space while Li Huang was made to exercise over and over again.
But it was not like she had anything better to do than exercise.
She was inside a carriage and was waiting to reach her destination.
Overall, the travel was normal and tranquil.
On the second half of the second day, the carriage left the river and made its way to the capital city.
Considering how fast they traveled and the speed while on the river, walking on foot was almost twice as slow.
Li Huang had her body drenched in sweat as she stepped outside the carriage, followed by Xie Ning carrying a few bags for her.
Li Huang had a tomboyish look to her, but her charms as a woman were undeniable even as she was drenched in sweat and wearing a tank top and shorts.
Her short black hair clinged to her head.
and her deep and labored breaths caused a few young men to directly look away while shifting their legs to take a few long steps.
"Now go run along the city wall once. I will go get us a place to stay. It should be dark by the end, so we will go eat and sleep."
Xie Ning spoke as she walked away.
Li Huang took a deep breath and began running.
Her steps were heavy.
so heavy, in fact most people thought it was a horse that was running.
Li Huang did not know how heavy the weights were.
or even how heavy she was.
She only knew she was 1,82 meters tall.
For weight, she was one hundred kilos, even with her lean and healthy build.
That was, of course, due to her cultivation, causing her body to gain mass and power.
The weights she wore were one hundred kilograms for each bracelet and anklet, while the vest was a whopping two hundred kilograms.
In total, Li Huang was running at fifteen kilometers per hour while carrying six times her body weight.
As it was almost night by the time Li Huang finished the lap around the city wall, most people were already asleep.
Many young people tried to talk with Li Huang, but once they heard the heaviness of her steps, they swiftly ran away.
and the few that tried did not manage to maintain a pace with her.
Once back at the beginning, Li Huang saw Xie Ning talking with another woman about her age.
"There she is; you must be Li Ai's daughter, right?" The woman smiled as she looked at Li Huang.
"Ah, there you are, Li Huang. This here is an old friend of mine, He Shui. Say hi to her."
Li Huang took a few deep, labored breaths before nodding at He Shui and bowing down slightly to her.
He Shui wore a black dress; on her right sleeve, a piece of yellow cloth; on her right sleeve, a piece of green cloth; on her neck, a piece of white cloth; and on the end of her dress, a piece of red cloth.
On her chest is a small crest with five small water drops, each one with a different color.
one black, white, green, yellow, and red
On the background, the yin part of the yin yang symbol
"Xie Ning has praised you somewhat, so I hope you come to the five-yin myriad sect after the tournament, even more so considering you are the daughter of Li Ai." He Shui spoke with a smile.
Li Huang lifted her hand up, causing He Shui to stop.
She then lowered her finger and put one of them up.
"I will not settle down with some random guy; I don't care about some random dual cultivation inheritance."
Li Huang lifeted a second finger up.
"I will not give up my freedom; I know what's best for me, not you or your group."
Li Huang lifeted a third finger up.
"I will much less give up my freedom to come and go and visit the world; it's basically one of the big reasons I am even cultivating."
"Everything else is negociable, including but not limited to casual dual cultivation; I don't care if I hurt the ego of some random guy I don't love much less care about."
Li Haung then looked at Xie Ning, smiled, and nodded
"Let's go; I need a good night's sleep and a big feast right now."
As Li Huang walked, He Shui turned to Xie Ning.
"Just like her mother, huh?"
"Yup, just like her mother."
Xie Ning grinned as she turned to look at Li Huang walking.
"Good luck taming this one; worst than her mother, tell you that much."
He Shui shook her head. "Her conditions are enough for me to know that much."
"Well, I need to go keep an eye on her. You go and tell your friends about her conditions, or they won't even have a chance to smell her after the tournament."
He Shui smiled as she shook her head and walked away while Xie Ning caught up with Li Huang and bought her food and made her take a bath before going to sleep.
