I'm saddened to announce that this series will be going on an indefinite hiatus.
Why?
It's actually quite simple. I write novels as a hobby because it's fun. I don't have any intentions of going commercial with it. However, while working on the newest chapter, I realized I was forcing myself to write, and I just wasn't enjoying it anymore.
There are several reasons for this, but the two main ones are:
1. While I have the general plot and plenty of scenes planned, I felt like this series lacked identity—at least in my mind. I wasn't sure in which direction I should go next.
2. When I started, I basically wrote whatever came to mind without thinking about important details, like tense, narrative perspective or character interactions that did not have backstories yet. Now, these decisions are coming back to bite me, especially when I'm faced with choices I don't want to make.
When will it continue?
Short answer: I don't know. I'll probably start the entire series from scratch to fix the issues I'm unhappy with and then add new chapters when I feel like it. How long will it take? No idea… but I definitely don't want to drop this one because I still believe it has at least some potential.
