Chapter 1 - 1- Pilot

(LN/Letter's Note- Before this begins: as usual if you see a mistake anywhere let me know so I can fix it. That literally it, enjoy!)

Why me of all people? And why in this damn universe of all infinite worlds out there? Couldn't I have been sent to a less danger ridden existence?!" Ray muttered under his breath as he adjusted the brim of his hat to avoid cameras.

Ray was a young man just entering adulthood at the ripe age of 21. Along with that, he was handsome, inheriting his father's gentle but firm jaw line and his mother's striking red eyes, along with his black hair that highlighted his eyes further. Essentially, he was eye candy.

Wearing a custom black jacket with red streaks going down the back and arms as well as black jeans, he would put his old self to shame.

I say old self because he was transmigrated. He was originally from a world that was nearly completely mundane, no powers and such. Though they did know that their comics and such were essentially portals into other continuities.

Oh, and I say 'I' because I'm one of the many Watchers, and I've been assigned to tell the story of this young man for a little upgrade in my home life. But that's besides the point.

Anyway, Ray wasn't sent here with nothing. He was given these wishes to use within reason. As such, he wasn't allowed to waste a wish on something overpowered.

Naturally, he wished for the one thing on his mind that had built in restrictions: The omnitrix. Of course he included a form changing function as well as a select few extra aliens that he'd choose to unlock once sent over.

Personally, I assume that he'll use that last thing as an excuse to unlock Graymatter and circumvent the whole 'restricted access' thing.

The second wish went to having a perfect body. He worded it as, 'A body that is naturally tough and can heal back from most injuries beyond fatal ones. That includes a natural talent for both mental and physical activities.' That netted him a hefty boost to his intelligence and a body that would grow stronger faster when trained.

The third and final wish was to have a system that he could modify. The ROB that was sending him off made a stipulation that the modifications would come at a price, but Ray agreed to it.

After that, he was sent directly into a branch of the Marvel Universe grown just for him. And now, Ray was looking for a quiet place with access to the internet so he could create an identity for himself.

Luckily he had a phone and could connect to the internet, so he looked for the nearest tech shop.

Walking into the small retail store he was greeted by the clerk before he found a small corner that was out of view. Tapping the side of his brand new watch, which might I add was a rich red hue, an universal adapter slid out which he hooked up to a higher end laptop.

Running a piece of code he had created previously with the help of Graymatter he hacked into the government's servers before adding a whole slew of identifications for himself. Ordering a new set of IDs to a post office for pickup, Ray disconnected and left before he could be sussed.

The code was a rush work and could be noticed, but the only thing they'd find is that the servers were accessed from the shop's IP address, not the edits he had made.

Walking into a separate store, he did the same thing, only this time hacking onto a few banks and stealing thousands of dollars out of their biggest accounts.

Leaving again, Ray found a quiet warehouse in the suburbs where he wouldn't be bothered. Breathing a sigh of relief, he found a clean spot before lying down.

'...This is my life now huh? Trying to survive in the Marvel world…It's gonna be a challenge, but maybe…Maybe I can make it fun.' Smirking to himself, Ray grounded himself in the moment before deciding to open his new system.

[Status]

[Missions]

There were only two tasks, probably because he could make small adjustments to the thing, so he opened his status.

[Status]

[Ray Harper]

[Health: Perfect]

[Possessions: Omnitrix]

'...Okay, pretty basic. And seeing as that last part only mentioned the Omnitrix, I'm willing to bet that it only takes notice of important or unusual items. Maybe stuff that I deem important too.'

Moving into the mission tab, he could see that a few missions were already there.

[Missions]

[NewGrounds: You've been plopped into a strange world. Take your place here and blend in]

[Rewards: 10 Mission Points]

[The Crowd's Favor: Earn yourself a reputation through your actions]

[Rewards: 5 Mission Points for every action you take]

"I actually like how this works. Do something good and earn yourself a bit of money. Of course I think the points are in place for the money, but that's a good deal."

Closing the tab, Ray took an hour to himself before getting to work.

First, He used Graymatter to update his phone. Now it was sleek, compact and was nearly as advanced as the Omnitrix as far as complexity goes. Of course he couldn't come near Asmuth's technical prowess, but he could somewhat imitate it.

Now with a phone that had access to the unrestricted internet and completely untraceable, Ray started tracking the police chatter.

A new app complete with an AI would report suspicious activity noticed by the police and anything it could find through the city's camera systems.

Set with this new knowledge, Ray set off in the middle of the night, fixing to grow both his reputation and get himself some Mission Points to add new features to the System.

"Oh yeah, might as well rob those hapless thugs blind too- fatten my pockets ya know?" He smirked as he walked out into the cold night.
