Chapter 1 - An obsessive resulting in death

"I can't live like this anymore. Please, release me," said a young man, appearing no older than nineteen. The silence that followed only fueled his frustration. Gritting his teeth, he shouted, "CELINE, YOU OBSERVANT MONSTER, RELEASE.."

*PAH*

A sharp slap landed on the young man's face, the force of it breaking his jaw with a sickening crack. He looked sideways, his vision spinning, before he coughed up blood and teeth. The pain was blinding, each cough a harsh reminder of the damage, and his body trembled from the shock of the brutal strike.

"I can't understand your mindset, my love. I feed you, dress you, care for you, and yet you still resist me," said Celine, the woman who had kidnapped the young man. She tightened her grip around his throat, choking him as she kissed his lips, asserting her dominance in a twisted, intimate manner.

"Michael, I love you with every fiber of my being, but you still reject me... you act as if you had a choice in the first place," said Celine, her voice dripping with obsession. Michael, hearing her words, began to cry.

The two of them were indeed lovers, but how did they end up here, you ask? Let's get to that.

Michael, a young aspiring philologist, had met Celine, a thriving business woman, and they began to date. At first, their love was pure, but as time passed, Celine's obsession grew.

It reached the point where Michael wanted a way out. He had lost weight from being drained every day, his friends had disappeared, and his sense of individuality had withered.

He tried to break up with her, but before he could, he was knocked unconscious and tied to a chair. Now, it was night, and they stood on the rooftop.

"I have given you everything, Michael," Celine whispered, her voice thick with an unsettling mix of obsession and seduction. "We were even planning a family... yet you want to leave me?" She stepped closer, her gaze intense and piercing, her lips curling into a twisted smile. "I remained faithful throughout... I gave you all of me, and this is how you repay me? How dare you?"

Her eyes, a deep hazel, began to shimmer with a faint, red glow as she leaned in, her breath warm against his ear. "Well, it's a good thing I created a basement just for... just in case," she purred, her fingers tracing his jawline with a maddening gentleness. "And it's a good thing I got rid of those friends of yours... they were distractions, Michael. You're mine..mine alone"

' She won't release me no matter what I do, even death is a better out..come' Concluded Michael as he looked at Celine

Within an instant, he exerted force against the chair, flipping himself backward as he was launched off, the motion seamless as he fell off the sky scraper.

"MICHAEL, NO!" screamed Celine as she noticed him falling off the building.

Without thinking, she acted on instinct, her mind clouded by panic and obsession. Her feet propelled her forward, and she leaped after him, her body slicing through the air like a shadow chasing the light. The consequences of her actions didn't matter—nothing mattered except reaching him.

....

"Where... am I, did I truly die "said Michael as he opened his eyes, he noticed the absurdity of the scene around him and he felt true fear

The land was dry and dead filled with countless skulls forming piles of collections, the lighting of the atmosphere was red filled with ashes of war.

The sky was filled with countless eyes, each with a different pupil, each a grotesque and alien reflection of the countless beings that might have once existed. What terrified him wasn't just the eyes themselves—it was the unshakable feeling that every single one of them was alive.

As if they were not merely watching, but seeing him, truly seeing him, peeling away the layers of his existence, exposing every hidden fear, every forgotten regret.

It was the suffocating sensation of being observed by something far beyond comprehension, something that measured him not in moments, but in the weight of his very soul. He felt naked, vulnerable, trapped within their ceaseless gaze.

As he looked around, there were giants—colossal, dead celestial beings, their vast forms dwarfing entire planets.

Their crumbling forms stood like ancient giants, weathered by time yet unyielding, their outstretched arms held the moons and stars as if the cosmos had once been a part of their domain, The heavens, delicate and vast, seemed almost insignificant in their grasp.

The sheer scale of their presence warped reality itself, a grotesque parody of creation where life and death bled into one another.

Nearby, enormous winged beasts soared through the desolate sky, dragging entire planets behind them, their immense forms bending space with every beat of their wings.

It was as though the very fabric of existence had unraveled, leaving behind a surreal chaos where nothing made sense. Nothing followed the laws of the universe. Here, in this distorted realm, meaning was a broken concept, and reason had long since been devoured by the void.

"What is this place, is this hell.."Said Michael as he began to cough, he felt suffocated by the atmosphere of this place

"Beautiful, isn't it?" a voice murmured, smooth and haunting. From the shadows, a figure materialized—a striking young man with neon blue and gold eyes, glowing like stars in a dark sky.

He wore celestial robes, shimmering with an eerie light, and a smile played on his lips as if he knew something he wasn't sharing. His presence was both captivating and unsettling, as though he carried the weight of the cosmos within him.

"What is this place, is this.."

"A filthy, inferior being like you doesn't have the privilege of speaking to someone of my caliber," he said, his voice dripping with arrogance. "You will speak only when I deem it necessary. Until then, know your place."

"Tsk, his Eminence wants to see you, so address him with proper respect," the man snapped, irritation and jealousy lacing his words.

"His... Eminence?" Michael murmured, his voice thick with confusion. Everything was happening too fast, and he couldn't even find the space to ask a single question, let alone make sense of what was going on.

"Ah, yes, his Eminence, the G.O.A.T.," the man said, his voice heavy with awe. "The Cardinal of inTemperance... To put it simply, you're either a being of absolute perfection, or you're just not HIM." He snapped his fingers, and at that moment, both of them disappeared from the desolate wasteland.
