Misty had been living quite comfortably recently. Due to her outstanding performance in the city defense battle and her dedicated efforts in the decisive battle between the Holy Kingdom and the demihumans, even though she only killed ordinary demihuman soldiers, most people remembered her because of her immense destructive power. Many soldiers of the Holy Kingdom regarded her as a goddess.
She believed that, as a noble Frost Dragon, she was above conversing with humans.
But the soldiers looked at her with admiration, praising her great achievements. Even walking down the street, people would suddenly offer her food.
This feeling of being exalted by others made her a bit giddy.
Misty had started to fantasize about being worshipped by the people of the Holy Kingdom, having a statue built in her honor, and being followed by countless people. She envisioned establishing a kingdom of their own, with her as the spiritual pillar of the entire realm.
Then, those people would look at her with reverent eyes, calling her "Dragon Goddess" in respect.
Just as she was daydreaming leisurely, lying in a rocking chair and basking in the sun, a figure appeared before her, blocking her sunlight.
"What are you doing? Do you know who I am? I'm the hero who saved the Holy Kingdom!" Misty said, opening her eyes only after speaking.
"You look somewhat familiar!" Since she had just opened her eyes, she didn't clearly see the person in front of her.
Peroroncino looked at Misty, who appeared arrogantly and didn't seem to take him seriously. Peroroncino really wanted to give her a big lesson.
Of course, it was just a thought... But as soon as that thought emerged, Peroroncino stretched out his large hand.
Without hesitation, he slapped Misty across the face.
Misty was sent flying by the slap and crashed to the ground.
"I'm this awesome, so why just think about it? Why not do whatever I want?"
Peroroncino was dissatisfied with the thought that had crossed his mind just moments ago.
"Bastard, you're going to die! How dare you hit the Dragon Goddess!" Misty angrily transformed into her Frost Dragon form, ready to strike Peroroncino.
"Roar~..."
At that moment, Misty saw Peroroncino clearly. She forcefully held back her roar.
"Foul Dragon Roar~ Awoo~~ Awoo~~" Misty shifted back to her human form and shouted in a very childish voice.
"I think I just heard someone call me a bastard," Peroroncino said, looking at Misty with a mischievous expression, as if daring her to act. His face was so smug, nostrils flaring at her.
Misty really wanted to punch him, but she knew it was something she could only think about.
Slap! Misty knelt in front of Peroroncino and gave herself a hard slap across the face, even harder than the one Peroroncino had given her. Her face turned bright red.
"Sorry, Master."
Peroroncino didn't say anything.
Slap!
"Sorry, Master."
Misty slapped herself again.
"I forgive you~ Now, my mount, let's go."
Misty opened the door, and outside stood several people, all admirers of Misty from the Holy Kingdom. Similar to the group with Yulia, these people had formed a small group, though much smaller in scale.
They held flowers and various gifts in their hands.
"Lady Misty, these flowers are for you!"
"Lady Misty, today marks your fifth week in the Holy Kingdom, and these are the gifts we've prepared for you."
These people from the Holy Kingdom had experienced despair, and Misty was the one who could protect them.
In an effort to keep Misty with them, they went to great lengths, finding all sorts of reasons to give her gifts.
"Lady Misty, why is your face so red? Are you feeling ill?"
Misty opened the door, standing at the threshold without speaking, waiting for Peroroncino to come out.
Peroroncino came out.
"Misty's face is red because we just did some... enjoyable things," Peroroncino explained to the group.
The people looked at the blushing Misty and then at Peroroncino. Their expressions were mixed, but most of them thought Peroroncino was just bragging.
None of them knew Peroroncino, nor were they aware of the relationship between him and Misty.
Just as Misty was about to speak, she found herself thinking that what Peroroncino said might actually be true.
Peroroncino didn't give her a chance to speak. He pulled her into his arms, wrapping his arm around her waist, and placed a hand on her proud peak.
Everyone watched Misty, waiting for her to deal with this rude person.
But Misty remained expressionless, as if this was something entirely expected.
Everyone was stunned.
Peroroncino then mounted Misty's neck. Misty spread her wings and flew into the sky, transforming into a massive frost dragon.
Everyone was stunned for a long time.
"Hit me! This can't be real!"
"How could this happen! Just when i finally got Lady Misty to remember my name recently. Wuwuwu~!" A handsome-looking man began to cry tears of shame.
"No! My goddess~"
"Why him? Why that man! Wuwuwu..." a female onlooker said, her eyes filled with tears.
After a long while, everyone calmed down.
"Let's just continue fawning over Lady Yulia!"
"Good suggestion, Lady Yulia doesn't seem to have any rumors about her, and she's very kind to her subordinates."
"Yes, yes! I'll go too."
"Same here!"
........
Peroroncino had Misty lead the way to find Neia. Previously, Peroroncino had promised to grant her power if she survived the city defense battle.
Peroroncino had almost forgotten about it, but upon returning to the Holy Kingdom, he remembered that very strong girl.
Neia had accumulated quite a bit of military merit during the battle and should have been promoted, but because she had gone off alone to search for the Sorcerer King, disobeying orders, she had been punished.
Disobeying orders on the battlefield, her merits and demerits balanced each other out.
Now, Neia was only a patrol captain.
"Lord Peroroncino, is there anything wrong with His Majesty the Sorcerer King after his battle with Adabawo?" Neia asked excitedly upon seeing Peroroncino.
In Neia's mind, the Sorcerer King was very important, and during the time she spent with him, she felt treated as a person.
The contrast between how Remedios and the Sorcerer King treated her made Neia completely loyal to the Sorcerer King.
"He's fine, just drained of mana. He'll recover his mana once he returns to the Sorcerer Kingdom."
"That's great! His Majesty the Sorcerer King is fine," Neia said, feeling relieved.
"By the way, I said I would grant you power before. Are you ready now?"
Upon hearing Peroroncino's words, Neia was stunned. She had originally thought that Peroroncino's words were just meant to motivate her to survive, that he had been lying to her.
She never expected that Peroroncino was serious.
"I'm ready."
"What profession do you want to become?"
"I want to become a swordsman like Lady Yulia, fighting on the front lines."
Peroroncino used the Staff of Administrator Authority to change Neia's profession from Archer to Sword Saint.
Neia fainted, and when she woke up again, she felt her whole body filled with power. Peroroncino had already left.
