"Hi," Anna greeted when she answered her call. "What's my lady up to this morning?" Truce asked, one hand slid into his shorts, as he looked through his window to the view of Charles river
"We're at the administrative block, registering courses."
"We?" Truce asked.
"Just I and my friend." Anna muttered. She had forgotten to tell him about Christine. She facepalmed herself. "Hey, um… it'll be my turn soon, can I call you after, I want to talk to you about something."
And so it begins, Truce thought, the heart break that came with every responsibility he carried. "Sure." He said, trying to measure his pain with understanding. "Enjoy your day." Then he ended the call, heaved a deep sigh, then went back into his study. The house had been extra quiet without her, but his heart ached the more.
