"Buy me coffee? You think we're at that point in our relationship?" Tanya asked, mocking him.
He let out a genuine gasp, for a second, Tanya was genuinely worried. "We're in a relationship, and I'm just finding out?"
She blanched. "No… it's not…I meant…"
Jamie stifled his laughter, and said interrupting her explanation. "Don't worry, I'll take it easy on my girl, since I'm just finding out. So, did I pass?"
"No, you didn't and there was never any… examination to pass."
"Sweet! Let's order coffee to celebrate. " signaling the barista for a couple of latte, he turned to her to ask what she wanted. "Cappuccino?" she kept staring at him.
She couldn't get this guy. One minute he's making her smile, the next, he's infuriating her.
"Stop. Right now." She managed the same icy tone that had successfully worked on everyone in her life.
