Chapter 21 - Chapter 20- Caught(1)

The next day at school, Parkinson was sitting in his seat silently, his aura explicitly telling people to stay away from him.

Rudolph as well, didn't approach him. Although he didn't possess common sense as others, he knew the reason behind his gloominess.

He heard from Rhea what happened last night when she went to check on him.

Rudolph was displeased at how he behaved, however, Rhea told him to not talk about it to anyone and especially Parkinson. She said the green-haired needed some time alone.

The class instantly quieted down when suddenly a certain violet-haired girl walked inside, her steps remained a little hurried but elegant.

She had a frown on her face, and her current demeanor made people even more frightened than they were of Parkinson's.

Her feet stopped only once she was in front of Rudolph before she asked, "Did you meet Austin in the morning?"

Rudolph frowned before shaking his head, "Of course not. He must be resting in his room so he didn't invite me to his office as well."

Valerie's frown deepened, and unlike what others thought, she didn't go to sit in her seat but rather made her way out of the class.

Rhea also got up from her seat and followed Valerie—forgetting all her reservations towards the girl, she asked,

"What happened?"

Valerie ignored her and continued to move toward the teacher's building.

Rhea was not annoyed—she was accustomed to it—and silently followed the girl until they reached the staff room.

*Knock*

Every teacher, those who were preparing to leave for their classes and those who were preparing study materials, all turned toward the violette and shivered.

Among them was a senior Professor who stepped forward and asked, "Student Valerie? Is everything alright?"

It was rare for her to be seen anywhere around during the lecture hour.

Valerie, spoke in a grave tone, "Student Austin is nowhere to be found. I talked to his butler and he isn't in his room and not anywhere in the school."

Rhea's eyes widened, "Didn't he return to the room with you."

Valerie felt annoyed because of her nonsensical questions, "Do you think I will enter the dormitory?"

Rhea sealed her lips, feeling a little embarrassed now.

The teacher frowned; unless it had been serious, she wouldn't have come here.

"Okay, I will go and search the dormitory. Meanwhile, go and look for him in the gymnasium."

Valerie nodded and instantly dashed away.

The Professor told Rhea to look for him in the cafeteria while he asked another teacher to go and look in the bathrooms.

Instantly more than ten people were looking for him.

Not only was Austin a student of the Academy, but he was the Prince of the country as well. Although noble status doesn't matter when they are within the academy, they all know the consequences they might face if something happens to Austin.

Not so long after, students also started to realize that something was wrong as their homeroom never began even though it was already past the hour.

The representative of every class began to come out and ask what was happening.

Slowly, as the minute passed, news spread like wildfire. Slowly every student got to know that Austin was missing.

He wasn't found in any gym or other training grounds. He wasn't in the front garden or any washroom. The cafeteria was empty and the chef said he didn't spot Austin in the morning as well.

The tension was growing with passing each moment. The students were told to self-study at the moment while the Council members were asked to search for him in every corner of the school.

The guards were asked if they spotted Austin going out of the academy. However, they confirmed that they never saw him around the entrance.

Once the Headmaster heard about it, he instantly assigned a crew to go and look for him outside the Academy.

Meanwhile, the warden of the male and female dormitory was told to search each building thoroughly with the help of the students.

Parkinson was indifferently reading his books, not minding the chaos around him. He couldn't care less about Austin, if anything, he would be happy if the blond dog realized his worth and left the academy.

However, suddenly he heard something fleetingly, that made every strand of his body erect in alert,

"It seems they are going to search everyone's room as well-" The boy who said that, instantly turned still as he was grabbed by his collar and lifted off his seat.

"What did you just say?!" Parkinson shouted.

The boy snarled and pushed Parkinson with enough strength to make him stumble back,

"Don't you ever grab my collar again," He threatened.

Parkinson clenched his fist, his aura flaring, but the other guy didn't back off—ready to retaliate if Parkinson attacked.

However, he didn't remain here to engage in mindless battle and bolted out of the classroom

He can't let them enter his room. No one can see what was in there…no one!

There was no option left other than entering every room and searching for Austin inside every student's dormitory.

It was known that Austin was injured and under the effect of a pain-relieving drug last night, so there was a chance that he accidentally entered someone else's room and fell asleep.

However, the search didn't begin from the first room on the first floor but a certain room on the second floor.

The Headmaster stood before Parkinson's room with the other Professors and a few students. Even Valerie and Rhea were present, under special circumstances.

The Headmaster was about to tell the Professor to enter the room when suddenly,

"Wait!" Someone dashed inside the gallery and ran towards them.

Parkinson weaved through the crowd and stood before his room door, his arms extended to block the door as he said,

"You can't go inside!"

Now the suspicion was much more profound.

The Headmaster wordlessly glanced at one of the professors before he extended his hands, and easily, Parkinson was pulled away.

The supreme authority stepped forward and pushed open the door.
