Near the battlefield, a young man with purple hair stood atop a hill, observing the chaotic scene below.
"What... what is going on? How did things turn out this way? This is completely different from the history I know," he muttered.
Trunks had just arrived from the future in his time machine, only to find the past in disarray. Not only was there an army of Metal Friezas, but his father, Vegeta, had transformed into a Super Saiyan, and Goku—who wasn't supposed to arrive on Earth for several more hours—was already fighting on the battlefield.
Despite his confusion, Trunks knew he had to act. Helping Son Goku and the others resolve the battle at hand was his top priority.
Placing the time machine into a Capsule Corp capsule, Trunks took off toward the battlefield.

Back on the battlefield, the number of robots and Metal Friezas continued to grow. It seemed that the chaos would persist until the original Frieza was found and defeated.
Son Goku decided to search for Frieza's main body.
Just then, he felt an unfamiliar energy approaching from the distance. He quickly realized it was Trunks. Using his telepathic abilities, Goku sent a message directly to him.
["Trunks, I'll leave these robots and King Cold to you. I'll handle the real Frieza."]
Startled by the sudden voice in his head, Trunks nearly lost control mid-air.
['What's going on? How does Goku know my name? What happened in the past to make things so different? None of this makes any sense!']
Despite his surprise, Trunks quickly composed himself and agreed to Goku's request.
Receiving Trunks' confirmation, Goku ascended into the sky, scanning for Frieza's true body.
Meanwhile, Gohan and others watched Goku fly off, only to see Trunks land in their midst moments later.
Though his mind was racing with questions, Trunks focused on helping the Z Fighters escape their dire situation.
"Don't worry," Trunks assured them. "I'm here to help. Goku sent me."
King Cold regarded Trunks' arrival with indifference. "Another child has come to die, I see. How amusing."
Trunks, unfazed, replied coolly, "It's not a question of death—at least not mine."
With that, Trunks began to gather his energy.
Seemingly without any effort from Trunks, a golden aura erupted around him as his hair shimmered into a radiant gold, spiking upward dramatically.
"What? Another Super Saiyan?" King Cold's expression turned grim, disbelief etched across his face. He hadn't expected that the mysterious boy who appeared suddenly was also a Super Saiyan.
The Z Fighters were equally stunned. Three Super Saiyans appearing in a single day seemed impossible.
"This is unbelievable!" Krillin gasped. "It's like a Super Saiyan buffet out here!"
Even Vegeta, locked in his relentless fight against the Metal Friezas, was drawn to Trunks' sudden transformation.
"How is this possible?" Vegeta murmured to himself. "I thought the only Saiyans left were me, my brother, Kakarot, and his son. Who is this kid, and how can he turn into a Super Saiyan?"
Metal Frieza watched the unfolding events with a mix of shock and confidence. Though surprised by yet another Super Saiyan, he remained resolute.
['It doesn't matter how strong they are. As long as my original body exists, I can create infinite clones. They'll tire eventually, and when they do, I'll finish them off.'] Metal Frieza thought.
Metal Frieza then launched an attack on Vegeta. Fortunately, Vegeta reacted in time and avoided Metal Frieza's sneak attack.
After dodging the attack, Vegeta refocused on the fight at hand, deciding to deal with the mysterious boy later. With his usual confidence, he charged back into the fray against the relentless horde of Metal Friezas.
Meanwhile, Trunks turned his attention to King Cold. Drawing his sword from his back, he issued a warning.
"I'm not as kind as Goku. I'll get rid of you right away."
King Cold barely managed to block Trunks' strike, but it quickly became clear that he was being overpowered, unable to hold back the immense force behind the attack. Trunks followed up with a powerful kick that sent Cold crashing into a rocky outcrop.
Sensing his impending defeat, King Cold tried a different approach. "Wait... wait! What if I make you my heir? You'll be a prince, magnificent worlds a Universe over will be at your disposal!"
Unmoved by King Cold's desperate plea, Trunks delivered a decisive strike with his sword, cleaving him in two. With a series of swift, precise slashes, King Cold was reduced to pieces. To leave no trace behind, Trunks unleashed a powerful ki blast, obliterating him completely.
"Wow... that's incredible!" Gohan murmured.
Gohan himself was able to transform into a pseudo Super Saiyan and knew perfectly well that King Cold's strength, while not on par with Frieza's, was beyond what the current Z Fighters could handle collectively. Yet Trunks had defeated him with ease and precision. His controlled demeanor was strikingly un-Saiyan, as most Saiyans reveled in prolonging battles with strong foes.
Trunks wasted no time. He moved swiftly to assist Gohan and the others, cutting through the remaining robots with his sword. Before long, the battlefield was cleared of robotic enemies.
Trunks didn't stop there—he targeted Frieza's spaceship with a powerful ki blast, reducing it to rubble. Any remaining soldiers were swiftly dealt with by the combined efforts of the Z Fighters.
Now, only Frieza and his army of Metal Friezas remained to be dealt with.

High above the battlefield, Goku was scanning the area for Frieza's true body. Suddenly, he sensed a dark, malevolent energy emanating from a nearby planet.
'That must be the real Frieza' Goku thought.
Without hesitation, he used Instant Transmission to teleport to Big Gete Star.

Inside Big Gete Star.
Arriving at the heart of the enormous metallic structure, Goku was greeted by a colossal metal head—Frieza's true form, now fused with Big Gete Star.
"Well, aren't you massive?" Goku quipped.
"Who do you think caused this, you wretched Saiyan monkey?" Frieza roared, his metallic face contorted with rage. "I didn't expect you to find this place, but it doesn't matter. You'll die here!"
As soon as Freezer finished speaking, countless clones and metal robots of Frieza appeared around him.
