Aveline crawled beside Gabriel, her fingers were well placed on the cold floor where their child was last seen before she vanished. The cry from the war was still fresh in her ears and memories, the screams of the wounded, the sound of the wolves, the scary silence that occurred when the child disappeared. The battlefield was filled with bodies, some of whom were still breathing, others were damaged beyond saving. Their forces were scattered and didn't know what next.
"We have been through a lot but the loss from this is really great and steep, we have to regroup and go again. The battle has just begun" Gabriel said to Rhyker with a firm voice while assessing the level of damages they sustained.
