The air in the hidden chamber was heavy and thick with the small scent of dust and something metallic. Aveline and Gabriel crawled behind a large stone column, their breathing shallow as they strained themselves to hear the voices sounding off the ancient walls.
"They've been moving too fast," one voice said, deep and covered with authority.
