AN: hey guys. Another quick question before we get into the chapter.
Would you like his bite to be lethal to werewolves? Like Klaus's is toxic to vampires?
Also, I didn't see vervain in a weaknesses section. I'm assuming the crystal compound that was spoken about is the vervain equivalent? Anyway, how would you like vervain to Affect him?
He's already immune to sunlight, so what about vervain. And would he introduce moonlight rings to Bonnie? Let me know. So many ideas I need feedback on π

I decide not to tell Damon about the kid yet. I want to have a talk before he can come screw it up. I sigh, knowing I myself am to blame for his attitude, but 100 years of torture should be enough.
Had this been the 20s Damon wouldn't dare threaten anything I care about. While animal blood keeps me from becoming a ripper, it also weakens me. Damon knows this and is using it to his advantage.
The bell for the last class rings and I think about how to intercept him after football. The fact I'm able to play will help develop relationships and familiarity in the town, something crucial in a place where vampires are well known.
The first game is Friday, and I have a bad feeling. Seeing this unknown supernatural creature only furthered my parinoia. A little threat should work. I'm a vampire after all.
I head to football and begin mapping out my plan.

I take a seat at the bar inside the famous Mystic grill. Deciding to take a page out of many famous vampires book, I speak to the bartender.
"Give me a bottle of bourbon. " I say compelling the girl who nods robotically and hands me what I desired. I speak again softly, recognizing the danger in compelling someone in public where the town is familiar with vampires.
"You won't card me and if anyone asks you already checked it. Forget this conversation, you only remember my commands."
With that she was off again and began cleaning the bar and checking tabs.
I sat quietly for a while. My hoodie on to hide my Physique. Being a vampire means being otherworldly, I would rather not stand out so much. But hey, i need a drink and didn't want to go all the way home to get blood.
After about 25% of the bottle is gone i hear someone else say behind me as they walk up, "care to share rhat friend? It seems we have similar tastes."
Turning around I confirm my theory, Damon Salvatore stands behind me still in his bad guy phase wearing all black.
I smile and nod at him as he makes his way to the bar, "not a problem at all. It's already paid for."
He smiles and sits down. After downing 2 glasses between us both, the small talk begins after Damon sighs and burps. "Silly me I forgot to introduce myself, Damon Salvatore."
I nod, down another drink and reply, "Scott Corvinus, it's good to meet you, Mr. Salvatore," I say trying to figure out where I want this conversation to go.
I decide to take the initiative, "you live here a while? I've just come into town trying to find my way." I offer up. Damon glances over the rim of his glass as he speaks to me.
"I used to live here. A long time ago. Moved away for a while before I decided there's no place like home." I could tell he was genuinely serious about that. He did miss this place.
He had come to resurrect his love. Who he thought loved him in return. A sad thing. Imagine pining after someone for 100 years, thinking about saving them only to find out they lied and manipulated you the entire time.
I nod trying to keep this conversation light, "doesn't seem like much here to do. I'm used to larger cities." He returns my nod, "yes as am I. But sometimes you need a break. You may like it. Stay a while."
I nod and finish my last drink leaving the rest for the elder vampire. "I appreciate the company Damon. But I find myself far more affected by the bourbon than I thought. It's been a bit since I drank it."
He laughs and calls out over his shoulder without looking my way, "great to meet you. I appreciate the free drinks. Come back yeah? I'm always here."
I laugh and don't respond. He played the town drunk role well. I get to my car and drive away.

'It's time to talk to grams.' She thought heading toward her car to ask her grandmother what all of this means.

I see his car coming through town as I'm leaving the school. I decide now is my chance. Following him I see him pull into the motel and wait.

After I hear the shower turn on in his room I slip inside the open front window and wait for him to appear.
My thoughts on how this was going to happen were replaced by fear. The shower turns off a minute or two after I stand in the shadows of the room. I hear the rustle of drying hair with the towel followed by the sound of clothes rustling.
The door opens and I make my move. Blurring toward the threshold I'm stopped by a hand on my throat. I'm greeted by a face full of viens and completely dark black eyes all capped by razor sharp teeth and claws That are now digging into my neck.
A sinister smile appears on the kids face and he speaks. "Hello Mr. Salvatore."

An. Wanted to establish a dialogue quickly. The flames bonnie and Stefan saw was the aura used by primordials to affect those around them. Please give me your thoughts on the authors note above the chapter. Really interested to see what you think. See ya!
