"So, tell me, little Hwa. What is it you'll look for if you want to finally date a guy?" Dong-cha asked.
"Hm, I don't know." Chin-hwa said, lowering his head. "I've never really thought about it."
"What?! Do you plan to stay single for the rest of your life?" Dong-cha slammed the table, causing a ruckus and Seoung-bo pulled her down to behave. They were still outside, she needed to stop making a ruckus.
"Hm," Chin-hwa gave it a thought.
What did he look for in a man? They would definitely have to be an Alpha because he wanted to have kids of his own in the future.
Ah, having kids of his own must be bliss, right?
But funny how he only thought about having kids and not who he would get married to for that to happen.
"Alphas are usually so stubborn, so it would be a miracle to find one that's nice and loving with a very obedient character." Yun-Tae suddenly said and Dong-cha felt offended for some reason.
Was he trying to say she was stubborn?
Chin-hwa was silent. For a moment, he remembered the kind of person he wanted to get married to when he was younger.
"They have to be calm." He suddenly said and they all went silent. He didn't know why they went silent but he continued with his head down, his fingers grazing the tip of his glass. "Kind, handsome, reliable..." He brushed the back of his neck as a certain someone came to mind. He could almost perceive his pheromones, like was in that same place as he was.
He was going crazy, wasn't he? But it lingered in his nose, soft and gentle.
"They have to caring and able to put a smile on my face. That's the kind of man I want to be with." He raised his head, only to find them staring at him with a certain shock in their faces.
Was it what he said?
But then he noticed that everyone else in the diner was also quiet, and their eyes were fixed on one particular spot.
He wondered what they were staring at. Little did he know that a man, an Alpha with striking features and a confident demeanor had walked in and captured everyone's attention.
Chin-hwa, caught up in his words, was the last to notice Kang-woo's arrival. When he finally turned to see what had captured everyone's attention, their eyes miraculously met.
It was like a cool summer breeze blew past his face and he exclaimed in his mind,
'Ah, so that's where that scent was coming from.'
Chin-hwa felt a thump in his chest as he stared into Kang-woo's captivating eyes.
He was just standing there. Standing at the entrance of the diner, staring at his table with his company started chattering away around him, wondering where they could sit since the whole place was packed.
'Byul.' Chin-hwa's mind rang softly, a soft and warm feeling enveloping him. But then he realized he was staring too much.
It wasn't like Kang-woo was acrylic staring at him, so he had to snap out of it. Yet... He couldn't take his eyes off him.
The silence inside the diner was lifted when Kang-woo and his company made their way to a table.
The people in the diner started whispering, wondering who this hot guy was and where he came from.
He had definitely captured the attention of everyone present and they were already speculating his gender as an Alpha.
No one could have that kind of presence and not be an Alpha. And he had to be dominant, too, because not just any Alpha could hold such a presence.
His broad shoulders, his long strides, and his enchanting pheromones captured them all too well, and he wasn't even trying to hide his charms, flaunting as he walked by, causing males and females alike to blush at the smile that was plastered on his face.
It was almost like he was doing it on purpose, trying to catch the attention of a certain someone.
Chin-Hwa, like everyone else, had his attention fixed on Kang-woo; his senses heightened as he took in this Alpha's chiseled features in one hard gulp. But his gaze on him broke when Yun-Tae suddenly said,
"He is so handsome. Now, that is the kind of man I wish to be with." He sighed wistfully. "I wish I could date him."
Chin-hwa snapped out of his trance, his face growing warm as he cleared his throat. He turned his face to focus on the meat and soju in front of him, trying to play it cool.
He didn't want them to notice anything odd about him.
"So, do you like him, Yun-Tae?" Beom asked, catching Chin-hwa's attention. He gulped down the meat hard, with his ears perked up to hear his response.
"Why wouldn't I?" Yun-Tae responded quite cheerfully. "I saw him a few days ago and he's so hot. He's kind and his smile is pure gold. He's the kind of Alpha I want to be with. If I had the opportunity, I would ask him out but... I'm a bit shy, haha." He blushed.
Chin-hwa felt a lump in his throat. Was it the meat? Did he swallow too hard?
Heading Yun-Tae says he liked Kang-woo, his Byul, which made him feel kind of uneasy inside. But he chose to shove it aside.
He would just pretend he had no idea who Kangwoo was. He was already attracting a lot of attention with his sheer presence, so getting involved with him would definitely make him stand out.
That was what he planned. But, how was that plan going to work when the other party had a plan of his own?
Chin-hwa's composure was short-lived as Kang-woo suddenly walked up to their table, a warm smile spreading across his face as he called out quite cheerfully, "Little Hwa,"
Chin-hwa froze and looked up right away. What was he doing?
"Can I sit next to you?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.
Chin-hwa's heart skipped a beat as he met Kang-woo's soft gaze. Why...why was he calling him 'Little Hwa' now of all times? What was he doing at his table? Didn't he come with company? Why wasn't he sitting with them? What were his plans?
The questions swirled in Chin-hwa's mind, but he couldn't voice them. Not now, with Kang-woo's eyes locked on his, and the whole table watching their little exchange with curiosity written all over their faces.
"Do you two...?" Yun-Tae spoke up and Chin-hwa turned to him, seeing the confused expression on his face. "...Know each other?"
