"Okay, fine, I'll be your friend as long as you keep my home life a secret. Even though you're basically blackmailing me…" Claire sighed, rubbing her eyes as she walked next to Linus through the halls. "I'll make you fall in love with me, and it's not blackmailing, you're just too desperate to keep your silly little secret." Linus chuckled while Claire crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.
"Whatever, just don't tell anyone, promise?" Claire turned to him with a troubled tone while holding out her pinky to him. "Fine, promise." Linus took her pinky in his then pulled it to his lips, planting a light and gentle kiss to her pinky. "There I even kissed on it, that means I really mean it." Linus said brushing his hair back from his forehead. The kiss that landed on Claire's pinky left a warm and cozy feeling, she blushed from it, and it made her feel warm in the face. She quickly pushed aside the thought knowing Linus just wants a rise out of her.
From the far right side of the hall four girls watched Linus and Claire walk side by side, their glares gave off a jealous feeling and left the whole hall feeling cold.
"Linus~..." A small and perky orange headed girl whined. "It feels like you never pay attention to me anymore, we used to always do things together, it seems unfair." The orange headed girl sat up rubbing on Linus' arm like a cat. "I thought I told you that I want nothing to do with you anymore Trinity, I have no idea what you thought we were but I know that we were just friends." Linus pushed Trinity off of his arm and turned away in an annoyed manner.
Trinity got up and pushed her foot down hard. "This is ridiculous, ever since that girl came along you pushed me away. We could've been happy, married, and had kids together." Trinity slid down onto her knees, grabbing onto Linus' pants. Her eyes were bulging, and you could practically see her pupils shift into hearts. "Yeah right, I pushed you away for a reason. I never thought of us in that way, you were just a friend." Linus bit his lip in disgust at Trinity's pitiful actions.
"You'll regret thinking that way Linus, I swear to you. You'll come running back to me on all fours, and we'll finally have a life together." Trinity stood up and marched out of the room, a hint of anger present.
"It's time for your medicine." Claire said, walking into the room with a pill bottle in hand. "You alright?" She asked in a slightly worried tone, she had never cared to ask how Linus was doing before. "Yeah, I'm good." Linus, caught off guard by her tone, reassured her that he was fine. "If you say so… your face doesn't look like it though…" Claire opened the pill bottle and tilted Linus' chin, slipping the pill into his mouth. "I wasn't sure if I should say this, but I know how you don't always take your medicine. So I'm making sure you do this time." Claire handed him a cup of water and closely watched him.
"Could you not stare at me like that?" Linus eyed her. "It's only cute when you unknowingly do it." Claire gasped in an offended manner. "Well then maybe I shouldn't be here anymore!" Claire stood up and left the room, then Linus smirked and spit the pill out of his mouth. "Aha! I knew you'd do that!" Claire walked over to Linus shouting in a victorious tone. "Seriously Linus? You think I'm that stupid, or even that soft as to leave the room because of nonsense spouting out of your lips. Please." Claire crossed her arms.
"Damn it, I should've known about your persistence." Linus sighed, biting his lip in defeat. "Always bragging about how well you know me too." Claire giggled, opening the pill bottle once again and taking out a pill. "Want me to feed it to you?" Claire sat down on the bed and set the pill on the tip of her tongue leaning towards Linus.
Linus didn't know what to do, he sat there in slight shock letting it happen, Claire suddenly leaned back bursting into laughter. "You really thought I was gonna feed you the pill from my mouth and basically make out with you?" Claire sat there laughing loudly, some staff workers even peered into the room to ensure nothing was wrong. "Never expected it but I would've let it happen, how could you do that? You tease." Linus said, an annoyed but gentle tone playing off of his lips. A rosemary type hue graced his pale cheeks, as if it were some contagious disease Claire blushed as well.
"I can see you two are having fun." Lydia walked in, giving Linus and Claire a slight jump. "Ahhh, young love, see when I was your age I was jumping all around. Guy to guy but, oh well." Lydia sighed reminiscing on the older days. "Lydia… you're only forty-five… why are you talking like you're seventy…?" Claire eyed Lydia. "You wouldn't understand, maybe it wasn't long ago to you but it was to me." Lydia sighed. "Anyways, Claire I just wanted to fill you in on some stuff once you're done here." Lydia said, then turned to exit the room. "Okay…" Claire turned to Linus, and held out her hand, pill sitting still on her palm. "Make sure you take your medicine, please." Claire smiled slightly as Linus took the pill. "Got it." Linus reassured while Claire got up to leave.
"Claire." Linus' voice rang in her ears. "One day I will make you feed me my pill by your mouth, promise." Linus slipped the pill into his mouth and swallowed it as Claire smiled at him then took her leave.
"Took you lovebirds long enough." Lydia said, standing outside of the door. "Oh…I didn't think you'd wait, what you wanted to tell me must be very important then." Claire said, looking down slightly as Lydia slipped her a letter. Claire's lips could only press together as she read it.
Dear, whatever your name was
I would love for you to stay away from Linus, me and him are destined and it would be great if you could step down from being all close to him. I'm not saying I'll hurt you to be cutesy, I mean it.
Sincerely, Linus' one and only TRINITY
"It even has a heart next to it, ew." Claire tossed the letter into the trash. "Another day, another threat." Claire sucked in a breath of air. "Psycho bitch." Lydia sighed, cigarette in hand. "I'd take that letter seriously though, I heard from tons on how crazy Trinity is. She's in the B wing." Lydia threw the cigarette on the pristine floor and kicked it over by the trash can. "The B wing..? That was for Schizophrenics right?" Claire questioned, Lydia could only nod.
