Does it really exist? Love at first sight? I don't know but I know what I felt as soon as I saw that princess isn't something I'd felt before.
It was like electric in my blood, the way she looked at me. I don't know how to describe it but whatever it was, I like it.
The other two princesses that sat closer to me were nothing like Princess Zara. Cool, calm and collected. They kept going on and on about things I pretended to pay attention to and meanwhile, all I could think of was the princess sitting farther away from me.
She looked really uninterested about everything that happening. Infact, her attitude intrigued me so much. I am going to get her.
I was already in the room prepared for me before I came here and I must say, it's nice.
I really didn't want to come here if it wasn't for my father that wanted a daughter in law before he died. I am his only son and that's one of the few things he'd ever ask of me and I had to make my father happy and it seems it's going to be great for me too - since I already found my princess.
I don't know what it was, but from the moment I laid eyes on her, I knew I had some kind of strange feeling for this princess. It was as if fate had brought us together, and I couldn't shake the sense that she was meant to be mine. I've never believed in love at first sight, but there's something about her that draws me in, something that makes me want to protect her, to care for her, to make her happy. I don't know what the future holds, but I do know one thing - this princess, with her captivating brown eyes and beautiful brown hair, is mine.Hans, my right-hand man and best friend, sat in the room discussing things about Everwood, where I, of course, am the crown prince. He leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed intently on me.
'So, Prince Henry, what's the plan?' he asked, his voice low and serious.
I rubbed my chin thoughtfully, my mind still on Princess Zara. 'I'm not entirely sure, Hans. I need to get to know the princesses better, especially Zara.'
Hans raised an eyebrow. 'Zara, eh? I've heard she's quite... reserved.'
I nodded. 'That's exactly what I'm counting on. I want to be the one to bring her out of her shell.'
Hans chuckled. 'You always were one for a challenge, Henry.'
I grinned. 'Someone has to keep things interesting around here.'
"You know I didn't just come here to find a bride for myself," I said, my eyes locked on Hans. "There are also some other things I need to take care of. Finding the Starlight Seren, for one. I know it's here in Galvia somewhere. I just need to find it."
Hans's expression turned serious, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You think it's really here, Henry?"
"I'm certain of it," I replied, my jaw set. "And I'll need your help and focus to find it. We can't afford to waste any time."
Hans nodded, his face set in a determined expression. "I'm with you, Henry. We'll find that gem, no matter what it takes."
There are secrets many people didn't know and doesn't know about. For example, the Starlight Seren. I agreed to come here in the first place because I know it's here somewhere and I know the king knows about it. But I can't go and ask him where it is.
How the gem got here is ancient history.
I didn't really know the details since it happened a long time ago but I had to get the gem back to Ever wood.
Hans left the room and I was left alone lost in my own thoughts. I don't know what the gem meant to my people but I know what it'll do if I take it back. I shifted the thoughts aside and let myself drift to the land of dreams.
Today's was going to be fun. I thought I'd choose who to chat with first or have a 'date' with first but it turned out someone woke up early.
"Prince Henry" she called out to me and stopped when she got close enough. My facial expression remained unreadable, they was nothing to react to.
"Good morning your highness" she bowed as she spoke. I can swear that's not her voice.
It won't take a genius to know that Daphne wanted attention. And I have all she wanted - looks, fame, name and so on and her mother would be really proud if she succeeded. But will she?
"Good morning" I said with a slight smile and her face reddened.
"Well, I was wondering if we could have tea together today at the garden. The view is nice and the flowers---"
"I don't do tea parties" I interrupted before she could finish describing how the garden looks. I don't care and I won't pretend to.
"We can do whatever you want" she lowered her head obviously disappointed.
As much as I wanted to walk away, I didn't want to break a princess' heart this morning.
"Okay. Let's have tea then." Her mood brightened again and she smiled with satisfaction.
"I'll go get everything ready" she bowed again and left.
I wonder where the other sister was.
What was her name again? Oh, Sophia. How could I forget? I walked towards the royal library and there she was. Beautiful, simple and gorgeous.
"It still hurt but I'll be fine" she said. Her voice sounded like music to my ears. It was hypnotizing.
"Just don't tell mother or father, okay?" She pleaded with the younger boy beside her who is maybe her brother? I'm sure.
I stood there and listened to her talk with her brother about books and I didn't know how long I've been there.
She hadn't noticed me yet but I wanted her to so bad. Knowing she doesn't like this prince - me, I had to be careful and do things slowly and I had to come up with a way to spend the day with her.
Being this pretty is supposed to be illegal and yet it's not. Aside from her beauty, there was something else that really drew my attention and I couldn't point it out yet.
"Prince Henry, I've been looking for you" Daphne's voice broke the spell and the two people inside at the other side of the library tuned to look at us. Zara's eyes met mine and it felt my bones were electrocuted. What effect does this girl have in me? Why does just making eye contact with her make my heart beat so uncontrollably.
I want her. I'll have her. She's my princess, she just doesn't know it yet.
"Good morning, your highness" Zara bowed slightly as she greeted me and I smiled "Good morning, princess" she didn't smile at all her expression remained neutral and she went back to exploring the books on the shelf.
"Prince Henry" Zade her sixteen year old brother spoke this time. One of the princes that looked and talked like a real prince even if he's one of the youngest.
I could sense someone going impatient beside me. "Let's go now, your highness. The tea is getting cold" there was a hint to impatience in her tone as she spoke. I exhaled silently.
"Excuse me" I said before walking away with Daphne who I didn't want to have tea with.
Kill me already...
