Coming back from a long day in the dungeon Sanguinius smiles at having made so much progress withing the last 2 months
He is now capable of fighting and pushing back the level 2 adventures in his Familia because of his large improvement in his skills which include the spear and great sword but the main reason is because of his now almost maxed out stats each of his stats now reaching around the 2000 mark which displays the letters Ex
Sanguinius thinks to himself that he is probably significantly stronger now than most weak level 2 adventures in his base form without blood enhancement
Levelling up gives an adventurer a large unknown static increase in all of their basic abilities which facilitates the gap between levels making it near impossible to close the gap as most people struggle to max their stats
Thinking about the last 2 months of sparring against his Familia members Sanguinius guesses the increase is around 1000 to every stat because when he started reaching the Ex ranks in his stats is when he could fight back
Asking some Familia member what their stats were at level 1 he came to the conclusion that the stat increase is around 1000 in every stat after levelling up
So for example if an average adventurer has a base status of around D 500 at level 1 and they level up they get a bonus of around 1000 reaching a total of 1500 in every stat and that's not including the stats they will accumulate at level 2
That means even if you had S 999 in every stat at level 1 being the strongest level 1 you would still be weaker than the weakest level 2
But because of his Void touched trait allowing him to break through the max of S rank in his stats and Blood absorption helping him easily accumulate stats quickly he can overcome that limit being comparable to a level 2 at level 1
You can only level up after getting one of your stats to D 500 which is also when most average adventurers decide to try levelling up and if they do they have a total of 1500 in their highest stat and higher rank or more talented adventurers may reach S rank stats at level 1 which totals to 2000 when they reach level 2 which is where Sanguinius is right now
Against an adventurer who also maxes their stats like Ottar and is a peak level 2 he would lose as their basic abilities would be around 3000 but they are so rare that he doesn't see the need to worry about them
As for his skills against the monsters in the dungeon it has also significantly improved making it way easier to kill the monster with him now being capable of easily killing the Orcs one of the strongest monsters on the Upper Floors
His magic training has also not slacked off with him now able to hit the target dummies no matter where they are with a high accuracy and his Concurrent Chanting also has seen significant improvement to the point he can cast his magic while having an intense fight
And as for the ability to become inscrutable(1) he finally understands how he should go about using it, as it doesn't give him the ability to become hidden like an assassin like he originally thought but allows him to become impossible to interpret and understand
Meaning that his enemies or even gods cant find his intentions or desires if he doesn't want them too along with being able to block his stats and abilities from any prying eyes at his own discretion

The next day Sanguinius decides to go the dungeon early in the morning to try and push for level 2 by overloading his Falna with high quality Excelia
His target being an Infant Dragon the strongest monster on the upper Floors with an estimated level of level 2, it has a small body of around 150 cm/ 5 feet in height and 4 meters/ 14 feet in length
Going into the first floor he speedruns the first ten Floors killing every monster he sees quickly filing his space pocket with blood as preparation for fighting the infant dragon
After reaching the eleventh Floor he starts looking for the infant dragon but not finding it even after an hour he decides to move on but gets interrupted by a Silverback a large monkey monster covered in white fur with silver fur down the middle while also possessing hard Armor around its head and chest
Not even giving it a chance Sanguinius gives it a backhand instantly tearing off the head of one of the strongest level 1 monster on the upper floors before moving on to the Twelfth Floor where he hopes to meet the infant dragon
Stepping into the twelfth Floor he instantly hears a vigorous flow of blood using his blood sensing signifying a creature of significant strength near him
Walking a bit farther he sets his eyes on the infant dragon a creature which looks exactly as Rose described to him and feeling his blood flow in excitement he rushes at the infant dragon also known as the unofficial floor boss of the upper floors
Brandishing his great sword that Welf specifically made for him, Sanguinius slashes at the infant dragon cutting a shallow wound on its body while using his Blood manipulation to increase its bleeding making it seem as if he hit a large artery or cut a deep wound
Getting hit back but ignoring it he continues trading blows with the dragon a couple of times makes it clear to Sanguinius that he is weaker in terms of stats compared to the dragon probably by around 500 points, making the dragon have around 2500 points in its basic abilities
"But so what if your stronger" said Sanguinius with a bloodthirsty smile trading blows with the dragon wound for wound, blood for blood
For every wound he caused, the dragon made two but using the intense bleeding from his Blood manipulation skill he uses the dragons own blood to heal right in front of its eyes slowly out sustaining it
Right now the most terrifying monster on the twelfth Floor isn't the infant dragon but its opponent
Feeling the need to end the fight quickly Sanguinius activates his Blood Enhancement making his already red eyes even more crimson along with his hair making it seem like his hair was showered in blood
Wielding Red skin and an inhuman expression Sanguinius rushes at the dragon in a red blur swinging his Great sword at speeds unbecoming of such a large blade, causing deep bloody wounds with every slash which only allow him to heal more from his previous injuries
The dragon after seeing itself being overwhelmed tries to in a desperate attempt to survive by spewing out its fire breath with reckless abandon knowing that it will be incapacitated after this move
Taking a step back Sanguinius summons a massive blood shield that that gets instantly evaporated by the fire breath but replaces it with more Blood from his space pocket after it gets evaporated shielding his body from the flamesThe dragon seeing this spews even more fire knowing that if it doesn't kill him here it will die in a miserably fashion
This standstill continues until the dragon reaches its absolute limits breathing its last flames which almost use up all of Sanguinius´s stored Blood in his space pocket
Rushing forward determined not to waste a moment Sangunius shoves his fingers into the dragons eye brutally ripping it apart and then uses his last drops of blood to summon a blood arrow that pierces into the dragons brain ending its life and bringing it back to the embrace of the dungeon
Hungrily absorbing the dragons Blood using Blood absorption Sanguinius feels like a piece of himself has been completed giving him the illusion of him being the strongest
His aura spreads scaring off all nearby monsters even if accounting their aggressive nature
"Not enough" muttered Sanguinius feeling satisfied at reaching his current state of strength but he feels an unknown urge and desire to kill and declare his dominance on the upper Floors
Wasting no time he starts hunting the monsters on the twelfth floor using Blood sensing to track them down with terrifying efficiency not even using his weapons but instead using his bare hands to kill them
An hour later he sits down satisfied and happy for refiling his Blood reserves along with satisfying his urges before realizing that he forgot to turn off his Blood Enhancement skill
Turning it off he feels a sense of deep exhaustion and fatigue along with pain as Blood Enhancement is fundamentally using magic to increase strength and speed over its natural limits at the cost of the body's endurance
"Fucking hell I didn't know it also suppresses my pain receptors" grumbled Sanguinius as he starts feeling the pain from his injuries as it was previously supressed by the skill
"Time to leave before I start wanting to kill humans too" he added starting his journey back to the surface
