NOTE: I'm back from holiday, so the normal schedule is also back!
Mo Chen summoned the Lancelot Conquista mecha from his system inventory, but it didn't just appear out of thin air—it descended from the sky. After all, even with the system's ability to overlook the origin of items, such a phenomenon would still attract attention if it blatantly defied common sense.
"This is for you."
"Wow! Commander! This is amazing!"
Marian hopped into the mecha, as excited as a child receiving a treasured Transformer toy. Her joy was boundless.
Thanks to the Lancelot's ability—granted by the system draw—that allowed its pilot to immediately gain operational experience, Marian quickly mastered its controls. With the deafening roar of its thrusters, she soared into the sky.
After all, piloting a mecha isn't an easy task. Even with extraordinary talent, it typically takes seven or eight years of rigorous training.
If the pilot had to start from scratch, they'd likely never get it operational in time.
Mo Chen briefly checked his system inventory and pulled out a heavy sniper rifle. Its barrel was long, and its frame was massive. Just from its imposing design, one could tell the rifle was incredibly powerful.
This was the sniper rifle Mo Chen had confiscated earlier from Harran.
"This is for you."
He handed the weapon to Rapi.
This sniper rifle was clearly manufactured with Eden's advanced technology, surpassing the Ark's standard weaponry by a significant margin. In terms of power, precision, and reload speed, it was just slightly inferior to Snow White's arsenal.
Rapi took the rifle, studying it carefully, her expression showing surprise.
The craftsmanship was exquisite, reaching the level of top-tier weaponry and even resembling a work of art. The violet glow coursing through the rifle's body carried a faint crimson hue, giving it an ominous presence. Its massive, full-power rounds hinted at its terrifying capabilities.
This sniper rifle wasn't a product of the Ark!
Having fought countless battles on the ground, Rapi could immediately tell that it was likely a weapon used by Pilgrims.
Seeing her engrossed in examining the sniper rifle, Mo Chen asked with concern, "What do you think? Can you use it? If not, I'll find you another one."
"No need," Rapi replied, shaking her head as she gripped the rifle tightly, almost reluctant to let it go. "This sniper rifle is excellent. Commander, where did you get it?"
Although Rapi's previous weapon was a rifle, that didn't mean she couldn't handle a sniper rifle.
In fact, back at the academy, before becoming Nikkes, cadets underwent comprehensive training with all types of weapons. After rigorous evaluations, they were assigned weapons and equipment based on their performance and specialties, as well as their unit assignments.
"As long as you like it," Mo Chen said, recalling the circumstances under which he obtained the rifle. "Someone ambushed me, and I drove them off. This rifle was something they left behind."
He had used the sniper rifle before and found its performance outstanding. Its power, rate of fire, and precision were all leagues ahead of most other weapons.
The only regret was that he hadn't managed to capture the person who had ambushed him.
Additionally, Mo Chen felt a strange sense of familiarity with the sniper rifle. It was as though he had seen it somewhere before. However, because it was such a rare item, he couldn't immediately recall where.
"Drove them off?"
Rapi froze for a moment upon hearing this.
A Pilgrim? Driven off by the Commander?
And they had even abandoned a weapon they seemed to treasure as their lifeline?
Whether it was Pilgrims in general or the Inherits Squad, they were considered the pinnacle of combat strength among the Nikkes and the most formidable individual weapons. Even a Tyrant-class Rapture couldn't stand against them.
The Ark might have many Nikkes, but almost none could compare to the Pilgrims. The difference in power was incomparable.
If anyone else had claimed they drove off a Pilgrim, Rapi wouldn't have believed it. But the Commander was different.
Thinking back on his impressive track record, defeating a Pilgrim actually seemed like a reasonable feat for him.
That left only two more—Anis and Neon.
Mo Chen rummaged through his system inventory, but couldn't seem to find any suitable equipment or weapons for them.
The only slightly fitting option was a GANTZ suit, but the version he had was mass-produced. It only provided a twofold enhancement to physical abilities and had mediocre defense. For long-range attackers like them, it didn't seem particularly useful.
Maybe he should check the system store?
He opened the system store.
There were plenty of items available, but not many suitable for Anis and Neon. Either they were outrageously expensive with poor cost-effectiveness, or the enhancements they provided were minimal and unimpressive.
Mo Chen remained silent for a while, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, Anis and Neon exchanged glances, still eagerly anticipating their gifts.
Anis turned to Neon and said, "You're doomed. You've fallen out of favor."
"Hey, why only me?" Neon protested, clearly unhappy. "You didn't get anything yet, either!"
Anis puffed out her chest proudly, letting out a smug hum. "Because the Commander would never abandon me."
Neon, irritated by her words, retorted, "As if I'm going to be abandoned! And what makes you so confident, huh? I'm the Commander's disciple, his one and only! What about you?"
Anis stood with her hands on her hips, lifting her chin in defiance. "I'm the Commander's bride!"
Neon was stunned by Anis's sheer audacity.
On the other side, Mo Chen, after a long search, still hadn't found anything particularly useful. He eventually walked over to Anis and Neon.
He pulled out a boltgun from his inventory and handed it to Neon.
"Here, you can use this."
The boltgun had immense power and a brutal recoil, making it a perfect match for Neon, who had an affinity for heavy firepower. Moreover, as a Nikke, her strength far surpassed that of humans, so wielding a weapon designed for space marines wasn't an issue.
"Thank you, Master!!"
Ecstatic, Neon was overwhelmed with joy. Hugging the boltgun like a prized treasure, she hopped around excitedly, her cheeks flushed with happiness.
She had seen the Commander use it before: its devastating power, akin to armor-piercing rounds, could take down even Lord-class Raptures in just a few shots.
Neon had been coveting the Commander's grenade launcher ever since she saw it, and to her surprise, he had now gifted it to her!
"Wow, it's something the Commander has used before," Anis muttered, looking enviously at Neon while trying to act indifferent. "Not that it's a big deal or anything."
But she quickly perked up again.
She couldn't wait to see what the Commander would give her.
Considering her relationship with him, it shouldn't be anything mediocre, right?
A high-power weapon? A piece of gear with incredible defense? Or maybe some kind of potion that could enhance her abilities?
Anis was brimming with anticipation.
Under her eager gaze, Mo Chen pulled something out of his inventory—a water gun.
A water gun?
Anis was dumbfounded.
