Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Feeling Itchy Again, Aren’t You?

Syuen finally had a chance to catch her breath, tears streaming down her face.

At this point, she deeply regretted it.

If she had known he would be this ruthless, she wouldn't have been so stubborn.

Humiliated! It was just too humiliating!

At the same time, she harbored venomous thoughts—just wait. When Missilis' forces arrive, I'll have all of you killed!

Right then, Anis spoke up.

"Commander, why don't you go take a rest? You've been working too hard."

Syuen, despite her hateful glare, felt a small sense of relief. Finally, no more spanking.

Her backside was burning earlier, but now it had gone completely numb—she couldn't even feel its existence.

But before she could truly relax, Anis added with a grin:

"Now it's my turn to play."

"…?!"

Syuen's eyes widened in sheer horror.

Ignoring her struggles, Anis dragged her off into her room.

One hour later.

"Did she confess?"

"Nope."

"Then she probably isn't just a fraud."

"Huh?"

"She's a well-trained fraudster! Keep going."

"Understood, Commander!"

Anis cheerfully returned to her room, looking like she was having the time of her life.

Mo Chen even reminded her not to go too far.

"Keep her alive—she's still useful."

"Commander, isn't this… a bit too much?"

Rapi finally couldn't help but speak up.

She didn't care whether Syuen lived or died.

An assassination attempt on the commander was a crime punishable by immediate execution, and Rapi would personally pull the trigger without hesitation.

But torturing her felt… inhumane.

"You haven't seen how vicious she can be."

Mo Chen understood Rapi's hesitation.

Unlike in the original story, Rapi hadn't yet experienced just how cruel and dangerous Syuen could be.

It was natural to feel a bit of pity.

"She's not worth your sympathy."

Rapi was silent for a moment before nodding. She chose to trust the commander.

After all, he had always been a kind and compassionate person, someone who truly cared for others.

She didn't believe that someone striving to free the Nikkes and humanity would ever do anything malicious., at least not without reason

"Commander, you seem to know Syuen?"

"Something like that."

In the game, she'd basically tortured me to death—how could I not know her?

To avoid Anis accidentally breaking Syuen for good, Mo Chen eventually intervened.

When she finally emerged, he was taken aback.

It wasn't that she looked particularly miserable—aside from the handprint he had left, there were no visible injuries on her.

But the smug, cunning expression she once wore was completely gone. Her face was blank and numb, her eyes empty.

When she looked at Mo Chen, it was as if she didn't even see him.

"What did you do to her?"

Did Anis actually break her?

Anis grinned mischievously.

"Nothing much—I just scared her a little."

"How did you scare her?"

"I told her that if she kept cursing, I'd strip her naked and hang her from the flagpole outside."

"…?"

Mo Chen didn't quite believe her.

At that moment, Rapi suddenly spoke up.

"Commander, a large force has appeared outside the forward base and is advancing toward us. What should we do?"

The numbers were overwhelming!

Everyone was startled.

Had Ark forces arrived so quickly?

Hearing that reinforcements had arrived, Syuen's eyes lit up as if her previous expression was all a lie. She jumped aside, suddenly regaining her arrogance.

"Hahahaha—!"

"A bunch of idiots!"

"You don't even realize that your doom is upon you! Ah, ah…!"

She screamed in pain as her injuries flared up.

Seeing Syuen shouting so brazenly, Rapi and the others felt a chill in their hearts.

Was she really going to order an attack?

Syuen, emboldened by the approaching forces and their tense expressions, felt ecstatic.

"You and your scrap heaps will all die here! You'll be thrown into the smelters!"

She screamed hysterically.

"You're dead, all of you! I'll pay you back a hundredfold for this humiliation!"

"Whoa, is she really this stubborn?"

Anis pretended to be surprised.

Syuen recalled the humiliating spanking she'd received earlier, her confidence faltering as she clutched her backside. She glared venomously at everyone, sneering:

"You're colluding with the Raptures, taking over the power plant for yourselves, and inciting those scrap heaps to rebel. If the Ark finds out, hah, do you think they'll let you off?"

The group froze for a moment, their hearts skipping a beat.

"Tch, you think anyone will believe that nonsense?" Anis snorted dismissively, mocking her. "If you're going to make up a reason, at least make it believable. Colluding with Raptures? Hahaha."

Noticing the silence, Anis blinked in confusion, glancing suspiciously at Mo Chen and Rapi.

"Huh? You two aren't hiding anything from me, are you?"

Seeing everyone tense up, Syuen grinned maliciously.

"Don't worry. Before I came, the information was already sent to the Ark. It won't be long before they send troops to wipe you out. Just wait for your doom!"

And those humiliations… the spanking… I'll make sure to carve off your backsides one by one!

"It's too late to regret now—you're all going to die. Tsk, if you kneel and beg me nicely, maybe I'll show mercy and spare you."

Syuen's tone oozed arrogance and glee.

"Your backside's feeling itchy again, isn't it?"

Mo Chen's face darkened as he stood up.

Syuen immediately panicked, stumbling backward. She pointed at him, trying to sound threatening but her voice faltered.

"If you dare lay a hand on me, the Ark won't let you off!"

"You're right."

Mo Chen sighed and rose to his feet.

Syuen thought he was backing down, a smug sneer appearing on her face. She lifted her chin proudly and said:

"Good, you finally understand. If you don't want the Ark to destroy you, kneel down right now and lick my boots. Maybe, if I'm feeling generous, I'll say a few good words for you, hahahaha!"

The melodic tone of her laughter was grating to everyone's ears.

"I think you misunderstood something."

Mo Chen smiled.

Before she could react, he grabbed her wrist and Syuen, being just a small brat, couldn't resist at all.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

Syuen kicked her slender legs wildly, screaming and struggling. "Trash! Useless waste! If anything happens to me, you'll all die!"

"Tsk tsk, looks like you still don't understand the situation," Mo Chen said, lifting her up to eye level, his grin showing off his white teeth. "Let me tell you a little secret. There really are a lot of Raptures nearby."

"And here's another version of events for you."

"What if the story goes like this?"

"The CEO of Missilis, in her noble pursuit to gather first-hand data on Raptures and create better Nikkes for humanity, bravely ventured out to investigate. But, tragically, she encountered a massive Rapture horde… and died."

Syuen's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You dare kill me?"

"No, no, no, you got it wrong," Mo Chen corrected her, "I'm not killing you. The Raptures are."

Syuen froze for a second, then began thrashing and screaming again, cursing him viciously.

"You dare?! I'll make sure all of you die! Every last one of you!"

Ignoring her frantic struggles, Mo Chen dragged Syuen outside toward the battlefield.

On the outer perimeter, an enormous swarm of Raptures had appeared at some point, a dense sea of enemies stretching far into the distance.

Syuen's face turned deathly pale.

They were real Raptures! This bastard really was going to have her killed!
