How did she even get here...? This was a question Azora had been asking herself for a while now
After tonight, she was going to be Queen and the thought honestly scared her. Not only that, she was going to be the next universal star keeper and that... Was a very big deal
She used to love the star when she was younger, she always thought it looked shiny and bright and... really Powerful. She dreamt of the day where she could finally touch it, to feel it's light, warmth and glory but now...
The same day she's dreamt of her whole life was the same day she now dreaded. The star had destroyed the only relationship she had with her brother
He was older than her and supposingly the one to take over the throne but here she was walking down the coronation room ready to take her brothegr's place
This wasn't exactly a horrible idea, she also knew why the high council had to make her Queen. Her brother was... A bit irresponsible, careless and well selfish. She used to hope that he would change, that he would become better but no, he's choices and bad decisions had impacted alot not only on him but also on her, she had to now become Queen which was something she didn't want but... What could she do now
Her brother wasn't always like this, he used to be very intelligent, free spirited and strong willed, he just got exposed to bad influence and well... Became selfish, self-centered and a hungry power maniac
At the end she going to become Queen and it was for the good of the kingdom, if it meant sacrifices... Then she will do it
"I here by name Azora princess of Athenia the next--"
"Queen?" a loud voice suddenly interrupts the priest, leaving everyone shocked, this was a royal crime worthy of execution
"whi dare's to speak in the middle of the coronation!" on of the guards shout
Instead of a vocal response they heard clapping, within the crowd. The guests made a pathway, as a dark figure made it's way towards the throne where Azora stood
*clap *clap *clap
With the last clap all doors and windows in the room turn into stone and the guests gasp in fear and some start panicking
"would you look at that, come on sister protect your people, fight me" she recognized that voice anywhere
"Brother..." she spoke softly. She couldn't understand why was he doing this, he had said he was fine with her being queen, now why was he doing this
"some Queen you'll be" he scoffs, Azora looks at him, and he looked so unhuman, he's skin looked gry, his white hair had turned pitch black and his eye's looked so deep and empty what had he done to himself
"why?" was the only thing Azora could up with
"why? Ha Azora I am the oldest, I'm suppose to be king, you can't steal my birth right, I will not sit down and accept it!"
"you know clearly why this is happening, you could have been better, you could have changed, you could have been king if you only proved yourself!" Azora shouted, he was seriously acting like a kid, the whole point of her being Queen was because he couldn't be responsible and worthy
" prove? Prove what?! A king doesn't prove himself to anybody, the star and the kingdom is mine " it then all made sense now
"you doing this for the star aren't you?" Azora looked him in eye searching for any emotion
"a king's gotta have power right, the star was given to us so we can use it's power right? Mother and Father were afraid to use it but I'm not, with it we could rule not just the planet but the whole entire universe, we could build a new world, a new Athenia... "
For a moment Azora seemed to be thinking, it was true that the star was not used much often, it was only used when there was real trouble, it was also said that if one ever was to consume the star (not literally) their body will hold so much power to the point that it ends up destroying them on the inside
That is why it had been kept for centuries and why it should stay that way
"don't you want that sister?" she heard her brother say
Azora turned back to look at the star which was already guarded by the guards of the palace, shining in all it's glory, a mystery of what power it may hold, only to be tucked away inside a crystal glass for centuries to come
"... No" was Azora finally answer
"well if you won't join, you'll have to die with the rest " he says with a cold voice
Without hesitation he grabs her wrist and turns them around, switching places with her, while the other free hand is rised towards the guards and within a second they all turn into stone
The guests start panicking and running around places, some screaming to their dismay
He let's go of Azora's wrist and slowly walk to towards the star
"brother don't do this!" she calls out yet he wasn't stopping, she had to do something before it was too late
Concentrating she raises her hand channeling energy into her, time seemed to stop for a bit as blue energy shots out from the palm of her hand looking like lightning ,going straight towards the star and within a moment the universal star was in the palm of her hand
Her brother turns to look at her "don't do did this Azora" he then starts walking towards her, the same lightning power she had used shoots out again but this time directed to a window in the room, since the coronation room wasn't that far up everyone started to climb down
As her brother made his way towards her the guards gathered in front of her, acting as a shield, that didn't stop her brother tho, they turned quickly into stone just like the other guards. She had no choice but to fight back, again she used her lighting powers but instead of it impacting her brother he actually captures it
It looked like he was absorbing it, he looked at his hand for a moment as lightning flared up on his arm. He then channeled his powers into something that looked like a white cloud
It then mixed up with the lightning that had hit him and zored back to Azora in lightning speed, hitting her straight in the heart
She couldn't even protect herself fast enough and the impact was so big it made her move backwards
"ouch" she said quietly as she held a her hand on her chest, she tried turning around so she can run but for some reason, she couldn't move
Azora looked down at herself and she noticed she was turning into... glass?!
Azora looked at star and thought
"Sigh " she knew this was probably going to take a lot out of her but this needed to done
Azora slowly raised the same hand where the star lied , she mumbled something to her self and suddenly huge energy waves started to come out of the star, it rose from Azora's hand and there and than
Her brother understood what was going on
"Azora don't do this!" he shouted as he ran towards her, hands up high aiming for the star but it was too late
The star had generated so much power, nothing her brother did could stop it. Within a moment the star went flying out of the broken stone window and into space
"No!!!!!" Azora's brother screamed, he slowly closed his hands and turned to look at Azora
"This is the beginning of War sister, do you know what you have done" the bitterness in his voice did not go unheard
"where the is evil, good will always rise up to fight it, the star will chose it's new keeper and you can't do anything about it " Azora said as her upper body turned to stone
He said nothing but his eye's said everything, he turned away from her and slowly walked to the throne and sat on it
"Eliot... "Azora said, a tear came out of her right eye and with that she completely turned into glass
" Eliot's gone, I am the shadow and I will find the star at any cost"
He clapped his hands once, twice and the third time every single person in the coronation turned to stone
Mean while in space
The star zored through universes, galaxies, space and time
It then stop near a planet, green and blue, full of life and light
This was where the star would find it's new holder
