Chapter 2 - Goals

*Ghost Rider's Perspective**

After punishing the men who had terrorized the Ackerman family, my attention turned to the mother and daughter before me. Their faces were a mixture of fear and relief, and I felt an urge to approach them.

**MC POV**

I stepped in front of Mikasa's mother, who clutched her daughter tightly. The flames around me flickered as I concentrated, drawing on the power within.

"Allow me to help," I said, my voice low and resonant. "There is a problem in your body that threatens your unborn child. Let me heal you."

With a gentle touch, I placed my hand on her abdomen. A warm, golden light enveloped her, radiating healing energy. I could feel the pulse of life within her, and with my power, I mended the damage.

After a moment, she looked at me in disbelief, realization dawning that I had come to save them. Tears streamed down her face as she turned to Mikasa, hugging her tightly.

"Thank you," she sobbed, the weight of her fears lifting for the first time.

I felt the energy within me shift as Zarathos released control, allowing me to return to my human form. I fell to my knees, overwhelmed by the experience.

"Damn it, I don't like this experience," I muttered, feeling the lingering effects of losing control. I hated the feeling of someone else taking over my body.

"Just adjust to it, brat," Zarathos replied, his voice echoing in my mind.

As I regained my composure, I noticed the Ackermans had stopped crying, their eyes now filled with cautious curiosity. Mikasa's father, still weak but recovering, stepped in front of his family, gratitude evident on his tear-stained face.

"I don't know who you are, but thank you for saving us," he said, voice trembling.

"It's okay," I replied, standing up to face them. "I did what is my duty. I am Ghost Rider, the Spirit of Vengeance who punishes the wicked."

"Thank you for everything you did, but... can you leave this place?" Mr. Ackerman asked, a fearful look in his eyes.

I raised an eyebrow, understanding the apprehension in his gaze.

"Honey, stop it. He saved us," Mrs. Ackerman interjected, her grip on Mikasa's hand tightening.

"Right? Didn't we come here to avoid this kind of trouble?" Mr. Ackerman said, silencing himself when he noticed his wife's determined expression.

"It's okay, miss," I reassured her.

"Yuka Ackerman, and this is my daughter, Mikasa," she said, managing a small smile that barely masked her sadness.

"I'm glad to meet you, Mrs. Ackerman. I have other matters to attend to," I said as I turned to leave.

"Wait, I don't know your name," Yuka called out softly.

"Hiro Takeru," I responded, beginning to step away.

Mikasa, who had been quietly observing, gathered her courage to speak. Her voice was shaky, filled with emotion as she said, "Thank you... Big brother." She squeezed her mother's hand, both of them teary-eyed.

I paused, turning back to them. "Don't cry. You can become stronger, too. Just don't lose hope."

"If you can, please come back," Mikasa said, her voice small but resolute, while her father remained silent.

"I will try, but I hope you all recover soon," I assured her with a nod.

As I left their home, Mikasa watched me disappear into the night, her resolve strengthening.

**Hiro's Reflection**

Once outside, I couldn't shake the feeling of what I had just done.

*So I came to the Attack on Titan world and not only that but also changed the plot by saving Mikasa. Is it right to alter this world's fate?*

The image of Mikasa's smile lingered in my mind, reminding me that perhaps it wasn't all bad.

*I can't change the past, and coming to this world is already a change. Should I change this world's destiny?*

Memories of Ramzi and Hange's deaths during the Rumbling flooded back, and I bit my lip in frustration.

*Fuck it. I don't care about the politics of Marley and Eldia. I refuse to let innocent lives be lost because of their stupid war. Becoming a monster is the only way to save the innocent, and I'm glad to do it. After all, it's not like anyone can beat me.*

With my goals set—finding my brother and saving this world—I pressed on.

As I made my way through the streets, I noticed Grisha and Eren approaching, likely checking on Yuka and her pregnancy. I observed Eren's striking green eyes but kept my thoughts to myself, continuing on my path.

Grisha glanced back, sensing something but not able to place it.

"What happened, Dad?" Eren asked, touching his father's arm. Grisha's gaze drifted, lost in memories.

"Nothing, I thought I saw someone familiar. Let's go," Grisha replied, masking his shock as they moved on.

**MC POV**

*Let's head in the opposite direction of Shiganshina. I have a year before the main story kicks in, but I won't waste that time. I'll destroy the Titans' powers in less than two months.*

As I moved eastward along Wall Maria, I felt the urgency to find my brother and prepare for the battles ahead.

*Hey, Zarathos, how can I control Ghost Rider's powers?*

*Simple. By losing control.*

*What? Say that again,* I asked, confusion evident in my thoughts.

*To gain control, you must first lose it. Only then can you adapt to the power and understand it.*

*So you're saying I should lose control and start killing bad guys, absorbing their souls?*

*Yes. Begin your journey by controlling your power through vengeance.*

*Okay.*

As night descended, I reached a small town, cloaked in darkness.

"I believe in you, old man," I murmured to Zarathos before transforming back into Ghost Rider.

"Hahahaha!" I laughed, reveling in the rush of power as I moved through the town, seeking those who preyed on the innocent.

**A White Figure in Space**

Far above, a mysterious white figure observed Earth, a strange smile forming on its lips.

**God:** *So he has begun his journey. Haha, I should see what his brother is up to in another world.*

With that, the figure started to move, leaving the Attack on Titan universe to its fate.
