Lila
The following day, I was sitting in the cafe's shop. Max text reflecting on my thoughts.
"I am not stopping Lila, take as much time as necessary; I am here waiting for your response."
How do I continue in this life?
The aroma of warm pastries wafted through the air as I settled into the booth at our regular café.
"Good morning Lila" I turned to look, as Derek greeted me while sitting down at the corner of the coffee shop, while sipping his coffee.
"Morning, how did you get here?" I asked. I was here before your arrival. He responded.
Derek wanted to come close but he could not because of Becca's presence.
Becca was already present, enjoying her chai latte and reading through her phone.
She looked up upon seeing me, her face brightening.
"Hello, unknown person," she remarked. "You've been hard to reach recently."
"Things at work have been hectic," I answered, signaling the waitress for a coffee to come.
