Chapter 49 - [49] : Invasion (II)

A/N:

Good day, dear reader!

A rather long chapter… (4900 words).

*Cracks fingers*

*Screams!*

[***]

World: Elicia.

Desert far from the Kingdom of Belfast.

[***]

In the desert, around five in the afternoon, Aiden had finished setting up the barriers on the battlefield.

These would prevent some Phrases from escaping, although, with the 'sonic essence' spell, those unintelligent creatures could hardly flee from Aiden and the girls.

From the sky, Aiden observed the sand.

From time to time, spatial portals opened at various points on the terrain, and from them emerged Phrases of all kinds, with varied shapes and low to medium ranks.

This was the work of Aiden's temporary clones, who were spread across the planet, sending the Phrases attacking towns and cities to this location.

The inhabitants of this world, unfortunately, were too weak to defend themselves.

From above, the crystal creatures wandering aimlessly looked like ants.

There were about seven million Phrases scattered across the desert, creating a disturbing panorama.

Two and a half hours had already passed since the invasion began, and both Aiden, his clones, and the girls had managed to intercept most of the enemies.

Meanwhile, Touya, who was at the border between Hannock and Yulong, had also exterminated the 13,000 Phrases that attacked there.

However, not everything went well…

"The capital of Yulong… simply disappeared from the map," murmured Aiden as his eyes scanned the information projected by [Rasiel].

He continued speaking in a low voice:

"A high-rank Phrase broke through this world's barrier and, as soon as it appeared, unleashed a devastating energy beam…"

Apparently, that Phrase had attacked with full force upon entry.

The beam, initially aimed at Touya's troops, was dodged and redirected in another direction.

What no one anticipated was that the attack would have such a devastating range.

The energy beam crossed several mountains, destroying them, until it struck the capital of Yulong directly, erasing it from the map.

"How many people died there…?" murmured Aiden, though he already knew the answer.

He ran his hand through his hair before making [Rasiel] disappear from his right hand.

"The emperor of Yulong also died… What remains of that kingdom will be chaos. But well, that's no longer my concern. It's a tragedy for the innocent people who perished, but… what else can be done now? Perhaps it was a mistake not to warn Touya directly about the range of high-rank Phrases' attacks. Although, to be honest, Leen surely would have already mentioned it. Blaming me at this point would be pointless."

Aiden scratched his chin, reflecting as the images of what happened continued to swirl in his mind.

"If Leen had been with Touya to face those Phrases, maybe she could have stopped the attack. But of course, she was in Mismede at the time… So, what happened had to happen. There's no way to change it now."

While Leen was presenting her resignation as Mismede's ambassador, she obviously couldn't be by Touya's side.

But Aiden didn't blame her, not at all.

After all, she was leaving her job for him, to leave with him.

Of course, it wasn't as if Aiden was naïve enough to take all the blame on himself.

It was simply an unfortunate situation, nothing more.

Touya, for his part, didn't have much experience fighting Phrases, so making mistakes was understandable.

And even though this particular mistake was enormous, he couldn't be entirely blamed either.

Even if Yulong's capital had completely disappeared from the map, other regions of the empire still remained.

If Touya hadn't intervened to protect them (even though he had no obligation to do so, considering they were enemies of his Duchy), the entire empire would have been annihilated.

Of course, Aiden wouldn't be surprised if the next day Yulong blamed the entire disaster on the Duchy of Brunhild…

But in the end, the true culprits were those damned crystal bugs.

"Tsk!" Aiden clicked his tongue in obvious annoyance.

Behind him, the air began to ripple, and in the blink of an eye, thousands of golden portals materialized like mirages on the horizon.

From below, the desert sky seemed to fill with golden flashes.

"The only thing I can do now…" murmured Aiden, his eyes fixed on the advancing army, "is slaughter these damned bugs as 'revenge' for all those who fell."

A spear emerged from one of the portals, shooting like lightning directly at the Phrase.

—Boom!

The weapon struck the core of a mid-rank Phrase with deadly precision, causing it to explode in a burst of light and ash.

The spear, as if it had a will of its own, dissolved into golden dust, returned to the portal, and shot out again, relentless, over and over.

Thousands of weapons began emerging from the portals in perfect synchrony, raining down on the enemy army with devastating speed.

—Boom! Boom! Boom!

The desert sky lit up with golden flashes and streaks of light as the Phrases were destroyed one by one at an unstoppable pace.

However, more continued arriving in the desert, emerging from the portals created by Aiden's clones and the girls.

…

Aiden continued unleashing all kinds of weapons from the [Gate of Babylon] with an expressionless face.

He wore casual clothes: a black T-shirt and white shorts.

His white hair, already quite long, fell to his shoulders.

He thought he might need to cut it.

As his thoughts wandered, the Phrases—those millions of creatures below—looked up at the sky, toward him.

They had detected the 'sound' of a living being inside him.

Immediately, all the flying Phrases rushed toward him, while those that couldn't fly began gathering light in their 'mouths.'

Aiden saw a multitude of red dots and crystalline bodies flying toward him, along with countless points of light aiming at him.

He shook his head.

"Really? This race is pathetically useless… It's disgusting to watch them. They can't even coordinate to fight," he murmured disdainfully as he observed how the Phrases, desperate to reach him, got in each other's way, completely disregarding their companions.

Some tangled together and, in their chaos, destroyed each other, obsessed with reaching the 'sound' produced by Aiden's heart.

—Flash!

Suddenly, a rain of light beams shot toward him.

Though weaker than an energy beam from a high-rank Phrase, there were many of them.

But as Aiden had already said, these bugs were stupid.

—Boom!

Many of those beams hit the Phrases' own companions flying toward him.

Even so, some continued their trajectory toward him.

Aiden calmly raised his right hand.

"[-ᚲ-ᚷ-ᚹ-]," he chanted, and a green magic circle appeared in front of his hand.

From it emerged a green tornado 100 meters in diameter.

The energy beams were pulled into its gravitational force.

At the center of the tornado, Aiden created a diamond with the color of an aurora, using the power of Aries Prote.

One by one, the beams were absorbed by the diamond, which soon became fully charged.

Aiden deactivated the gravity spell, leaving the diamond floating in front of him.

"[Total Reflection]!" he shouted.

From the diamond emerged thousands of rays with twice the power, fired directly at the Phrases that continued their attack.

—Boom! Boom!

Massive explosions erupted below, wiping out a large number of Phrases.

—Boom!

Meanwhile, more weapons continued to be fired relentlessly from the [Gate of Babylon].

Aiden then took a sword from the [Gate of Babylon], holding it in his right hand.

He swung it slightly, enveloping it in [Touki] to reinforce it.

Then, the sword became coated in golden sparks as he imbued it with the power of Leo Pemptos.

Although Leo Pemptos, Aries Prote, and Salamander were not present, as they were still carrying out orders elsewhere in the world, Aiden could still use their powers thanks to his [Sacred Gears].

"There are exactly 6,802,975 of these bugs scattered all over the area... and more keep coming. Seriously, how many did they send this time? This isn't funny anymore." Aiden gritted his teeth, staring at the horizon with a mix of fury and determination. "Listen to me, you humanoid piece of trash... When I find you, I'm going to rip your head off. No, wait... that would be too easy."

A dark smile curved his lips.

"I think I'd rather torture you for thousands of years. Yes... I'll use the bullets of [Zafkiel] to make you suffer in every way possible. That sounds much better."

As he spoke, the sword in his hand began to shine brightly, emitting flashes of Leo Pemptos's electromagnetic power.

—Bang!

Aiden suddenly appeared in front of a mid-level Phrase flying toward him and swung the sword with blinding speed.

The lightning surrounding it crackled in the air.

—Slash!

The Phrase was split in two vertically, and those behind it, flying through the air, met the same fate: all of them were cut in half by the same motion.

—Slash!

In the blink of an eye, Aiden disappeared, leaving behind an afterimage, and reappeared to execute a horizontal slash followed by a vertical one in a single movement, creating a perfect cross in the air.

The lightning of Leo Pemptos shot out from the sword as deadly flashes, wiping out thousands of Phrases in the blink of an eye.

This spectacle repeated itself again and again as Aiden moved through the crystalline army like a true God of War, cutting them down with lethal precision.

At the same time, more swords, spears, axes, and all sorts of weapons fired endlessly from the [Gate of Babylon], covering the sky with their devastating power.

—Flash!

A rain of energy beams descended on Aiden's blurred figure, who had just eliminated thousands more of these crystal bugs.

He could have easily dodged them, but why bother?

He simply extended his left hand upward, and a green magic circle appeared in the air.

A gravity tornado immediately formed, absorbing all the beams of light.

Within the tornado, the aurora-colored diamond absorbed all that energy, glowing brighter and brighter.

Shortly after, the tornado dissipated, leaving behind the diamond, now fully charged with power.

"Hahaha!"

Aiden grabbed the diamond with his left hand, reinforced it with [Touki], and hurled it toward a massive concentration of Phrases.

—Blast!

A mushroom-shaped cloud rose on the horizon.

Meanwhile, Aiden's figure disappeared again.

A horizontal slash illuminated by a golden lightning-filled line cut through the air.

The result: a vast area of desert was completely leveled by the impact of the power.

—Boom!

More weapons fired from the [Gate of Babylon] as Aiden continued his relentless offensive.

"6,603,777 still left!" he exclaimed, his voice charged with fierce determination and unshakable defiance.

...

[*]

Mukuro finished dealing with the Phrase in her area in a manner similar to Natsumi and the others.

She used a 'sound essence' spell to lure the Phrases into a portal that sent them directly to Aiden in the desert.

Once her task was complete, she opened a distortion in space and appeared in the sky.

Her golden eyes narrowed as she observed Aiden's blurred figure, eliminating thousands of Phrases in mere seconds.

"Nushi-sama…" she murmured, while her long, delicately braided blonde hair swayed with the wind.

She looked around and noticed that she was the first to arrive.

She couldn't sense the presence of her sisters in that part of the desert.

"They're probably still drawing those bugs here... But even so, Muku must assist Nushi-sama. Even though Nushi-sama is capable of handling this alone, as his wife, Muku has the duty to help him. Umu!" she declared with conviction, nodding as an enchanting expression of determination blossomed on her face.

Suddenly, her attire began to glow softly, and a melody escaped her lips, resonating with a celestial echo.

"[Eloah]."

In an instant, a dazzling flash like starlight revealed her astral dress.

It was similar to a qipao, adorned with intricate constellation symbols that seemed to dance with every movement.

The metal boots completing the ensemble enhanced her grace, adding an air of imposing beauty.

Mukuro raised her right hand, and her voice rang out powerfully:

"[Michael]!"

Before her appeared a celestial key, resembling a staff adorned with radiant rings.

Without hesitation, she unleashed her power.

"[Shifuru]!"

The key emitted a blinding glow, transforming into a magnificent spear, and her astral dress took on a fiercer form, reflecting a wild majesty.

In the distance, Aiden, amidst his battle in the desert, allowed a faint smile to appear as he sensed Mukuro's powerful spiritual energy.

With elegance, she spun the spear, raising it to the sky, her gaze firm and resolute.

"[Lataib]!"

In the heavens, a gigantic portal hundreds of meters wide opened among the clouds.

From within, a burning meteorite a hundred meters in diameter began its descent with a deafening roar.

Without hesitation, Mukuro directed it precisely toward a dense concentration of Phrases.

—Earthquake! Boom!

The impact shook the earth with overwhelming force, sending waves of destruction across the battlefield.

"[Lataib]!"

"[Lataib]!"

"[Lataib]!"

Mukuro spun Michael with lethal grace, leaving behind a trail of celestial light as torrents of Reiryoku flowed from her body like an uncontrollable river.

Three radiant portals materialized in the sky, tearing through space like cracks on a stellar canvas.

"Stop bothering Nushi-sama! Muku will not forgive your insolence! Insignificant insects, Muku will make you disappear!" she shouted furiously, her voice resounding so intensely that even Aiden, far away and engrossed in his own battle, could hear her clearly.

From the portals, hundreds of smaller meteorites began to rain down like a celestial storm, striking in all directions and instantly pulverizing the Phrases.

Mukuro remained firm in the air, unleashing her divine wrath without rest, her eyes glowing with a golden brilliance that reflected her unyielding resolve.

In the distance, Aiden continued facing endless hordes, wielding his sword with superhuman skill while the [Gate of Babylon] fired weapons that pierced through enemies like lightning.

It was an apocalyptic spectacle, a perfect synchronicity between the overwhelming power of both.

The devastation on the battlefield grew increasingly absolute.

"Done."

Nia nodded softly, floating in the sky with a calm expression.

Her gaze descended toward the ground.

From there, she observed the place where she had banished the Phrases, throwing them into the desert.

A sigh escaped her lips.

She had finally finished that annoying task.

"What a tedious job," she murmured to herself, crossing her arms.

Then, she looked up toward the horizon.

"I wonder how the others are doing..."

"[Rasiel]."

The book appeared in her right hand as Nia began reading it while flying at full speed in a specific direction.

"Muku-chin was the first to finish... Aiden-kun's clones are also done," she murmured to herself, her eyes scanning the pages as she confirmed there were no stray Phrases left.

All of them were within the barrier in the desert, being exterminated like the pests they were.

"The second to finish was Kurumi-chin. She's also helping Aiden along with the others. Oh! She's using the [Demon King] - [Lucifugus]. Hmm… Well, she has good control of her inverse form, so there's nothing to worry about. Plus, [Lucifugus] has greater area-wide destructive power than [Zafkiel]."

She reflected aloud, analyzing with the clinical precision of someone who knows everything.

Kurumi had opted for her inverse form, leveraging [Lucifugus]'s efficiency against large groups, while [Zafkiel] was reserved for more personal battles.

Nia felt no concern: the girls mastered their [Demon Kings] with complete confidence.

"Yoshino-chan is also using her [Demon King], so Yoshinon-chan is the one fighting... Oh, look how the Phrase counter keeps dropping. 4,457,768 of those bugs left… Ah, the others have already arrived at the battlefield and are helping. I should hurry up too."

With [Rasiel], Nia closely monitored the situation.

All the others had completed their respective missions and were now assisting Aiden.

Without hesitation, she disappeared over the horizon and reappeared in front of a watchtower.

There, she spotted a girl with white hair and golden eyes, conversing with Mismede's army generals.

Nia had been sent to repel the Phrases in that region but left military matters to Leen.

Her objective was clear: to deal directly with the bugs.

She descended gracefully, her feet touching the watchtower, and the sound of her steps immediately caught Leen's attention.

Leen wasted no time, giving clear instructions to the army to inform the beast king of Mismede that the situation was under control.

After ensuring everything was proceeding as planned, she calmly approached Nia, her eyes gleaming with a mix of curiosity and determination.

"Did everything go as expected?" she asked, looking directly at her.

"Of course, Leen-chin! Don't worry about the world going to ruin or anything like that," Nia replied with a carefree smile, giving a thumbs-up as a sign of confidence. "Aiden spread us out across the globe to send those bugs to the desert. Right now, they're being pulverized there. Everything's under control!"

Leen nodded, letting out a sigh of relief.

Aiden's presence in that world gave her peace of mind.

Although Leen was powerful thanks to the magic Aiden had taught her, she couldn't protect the entire world like he could.

She might have been able to defend Mismede, but she would have been unable to prevent the rest of the world from falling to the Phrases.

"Good job, truly... Haa, this world has more luck than it deserves having you all," Leen said, letting out a sigh as a faint smile appeared on her face.

Then, she lifted her gaze with determination.

"Even so, I can't just stand by. I want to give Aiden a hand, even if it's just a little. Shall we go?" she added, already focusing her magic, ready to teleport and do whatever was in her power.

Nia nodded, and Leen teleported them with a spell to where Aiden was.

As soon as he sensed a faint presence attempting to penetrate his barrier, Aiden quickly identified it as Leen and Nia.

Relaxing, he allowed both to enter and moved slightly away from the army of Phrases, as he perceived that Leen would appear right beside him.

An instant later, Leen appeared on his right, followed by Nia, who positioned herself on Leen's right side.

Both directed their gaze toward the distant battle unfolding before them.

—Boom!

From their position, they could make out the tornadoes forming high above, descending with force and obliterating numerous Phrases.

It was the result of Yuzuru and Kaguya, who attacked with the power of [Raphael].

Farther ahead, a figure engulfed in flames advanced relentlessly, reducing to ashes every Phrase in her path.

It was Kotori, wielding [Camael] with all her ferocity.

Miku, for her part, was using the mind control of [Gabriel], producing sounds that dominated the higher-ranking Phrases.

Under her influence, these Phrases betrayed their own allies, creating chaos within the enemy ranks.

Across the battlefield, the girls spread out in various positions, quickly reducing the number of Phrases with devastating precision.

It was a spectacle of power and destruction.

"Hya~! This is too much destruction… We've never faced a battle with this many Phrases in the material world," Nia exclaimed, bringing a hand to her head with drama.

Then, letting out a sigh of relief, she added, "These things always happened in the Dimensional Rift, right? This is too much for my taste."

Aiden nodded silently, his gaze fixed on the battlefield.

"I'll help too, even if just a little," Leen declared with a confident smile, calmly raising her right hand.

Immediately, a magic circle of intricate design appeared on her palm, radiating a dazzling energy.

From it emerged a transparent spear, vibrant and brimming with overwhelming power.

The spear began to burn with an ethereal brilliance as cabalistic runes spun around it, projecting flashes of blinding light.

Its tip turned a crimson white, as though it concentrated the very essence of divine destruction.

As more magic circles appeared before Leen, weaving even more complex enchantments, the weapon grew in power, reaching an overwhelming level.

"May the mercy of the King of Gods reach you!

With a single blow, I shall bring the end!

Reduce to ashes!

[Vasavi Shakti]!!"

With a deafening roar, the spear shot forward, cutting through the air at an impossible speed.

—Fwoosh! Boom! Crash!

Upon impact, the explosion unleashed a spectacle of light and energy that instantly consumed a vast number of Phrases.

The flames and the rumble dissipated slowly, leaving behind a void where a part of the enemy army had once been.

Leen lowered her hand calmly, and with a slight smile of satisfaction, received a pat on the head from Aiden.

"Wow, it seems you liked that spell a lot, didn't you?" Aiden remarked with a smile, watching her with curiosity.

He had created that spell specifically for her, and knowing she enjoyed it filled him with a bit of joy.

Leen let him continue patting her and nodded calmly. "Hmm, that spell has good power and range. Plus, these bugs have no way of defending against it," she said, evaluating its effectiveness as they floated suspended in the air.

"4,145,137 remaining," Nia suddenly announced after summoning [Rasiel], her tone practical yet lively.

Aiden nodded without saying a word.

They had already eliminated over three million Phrases, and he calculated that by nightfall, they would have finished them all.

Without stopping, he continued firing weapons from the [Gate of Babylon], which struck down enemies on the horizon.

—Flash!

Suddenly, as the three of them observed the battle in the distance, three flashes of light appeared beside them.

None of them were alarmed; they immediately recognized the presence of allies.

The first to materialize was Leo Pemptos, the majestic golden lion in his [Balance Breaker] form, who nodded toward Aiden, indicating that he had completed his assigned mission before charging back into the battlefield.

Next came Aries Prote, the imposing Divine Sheep, and Salamander, the Fire Dragon.

Both also headed to the front, unleashing their power.

Salamander, in particular, began to enlarge his body in an explosion of fire, reaching a height of 100 meters.

His physical attacks now covered a vast area, destroying everything in his path.

Aiden observed the new explosions on the horizon and sighed.

"Ha... We just need to finish this. Well, let's do it."

Leen and Nia nodded without hesitation, and magic circles appeared in their right hands.

Leen aimed to the right, while Nia directed her attack in the opposite direction.

From each magic circle emerged a divine spear, constructed with the [Cabalistic Formula], radiating pure power.

"[Vasavi Shakti]!" Leen shouted, and her fiery spear shot forward, striking a section of the Phrases' army.

The explosion formed a gigantic flaming spear that embedded itself in the ground, wiping out hundreds of enemies.

"[Brionac]!" Nia shouted simultaneously, and a similar spear, engulfed in flames, flew in the opposite direction, annihilating another section of the enemy army.

…

As Aiden continued cutting down the Phrases with lethal precision, he couldn't help but chuckle to himself.

He noticed that Nia had also started taking inspiration from him, naming her spells with references to mythology.

[Brionac], after all, was the spear of the solar god Lugh in Celtic mythology.

Before, she had simply chanted the spell in the rune language of the [Cabalistic Formula].

"I think I'm rubbing off on you," he murmured with a fleeting smile before refocusing on his task.

However, an idea came to his mind.

He wanted to try something new.

"Leo Pemptos!" Aiden called out firmly.

In a golden flash, the Lion of Regulus-Aerum, now in his imposing 7-meter-tall [Balance Breaker] state, appeared by his side.

Aiden looked at him with a smile full of enthusiasm.

The lion, responding to his energy, also smiled with pride.

"Let's try that!" Aiden exclaimed.

"At your command!" replied Leo Pemptos with determination.

Suddenly, Leo Pemptos's body began to shine intensely.

A massive amount of spiritual power flowed from Aiden to the golden lion, enveloping him in a torrent of energy.

The transfer was colossal, and Leo Pemptos absorbed 48% of Aiden's total spiritual power—nearly half—to ensure that the [Spiritual Assimilation] was carried out flawlessly.

The air grew dense with spiritual pressure, and then Aiden and Leo Pemptos began chanting together, their voices resonating like an echo that shattered reality.

"The roar of the Celestial Lion that transcends the stars, awaken from your eternal slumber," proclaimed Leo Pemptos as golden lightning erupted from his body, ascending into the sky.

The bolts tore through the clouds, and although it was broad daylight, the constellation of Leo appeared, bright and majestic, over the horizon.

"Spirit of the Golden Lion, manifestation of the Leo constellation, raise your mane of lightning and roar within my soul," chanted Aiden, his golden eyes glowing with divine intensity.

His white hair gradually turned golden, as if absorbing the essence of the lion.

"I am the absolute domain of electromagnetism, the golden guardian who defies the heavens and the earth," continued Leo Pemptos, his red eyes blazing like live embers.

"I am the bearer of your fury and majesty, the storm that roars across the vastness of the cosmos," intoned Aiden, his voice charged with an almost tangible determination.

""Together, we will be the tempest that tears through boundaries, the existence that rises like a lion against infinity,"" they declared in unison, their words imbued with power.

Then, Leo Pemptos's body began to fade into a burst of golden dust, which was absorbed by Aiden.

His hair, now completely blonde, shone like the sun, and an electrifying presence emanated from his figure.

""We shall dance on the battlefield like thunder and lightning, conquering with a roar that will shake the heavens!"" they shouted together with a combined voice, as the Leo constellation in the sky shone with a blinding light.

Gradually, a golden armor began to form around Aiden's body.

Every detail seemed forged by the hands of the gods themselves:

The helmet, inspired by a lion's mane, was made of golden plates that emitted sparks of electricity.

The visor's eyes glowed like stars, and electrical filaments crackled from the back like a living mane.

The torso, covered in golden metallic plates, mimicked a lion's muscles with a fluid, flexible design.

At the center of the chest, a raised emblem of a jet-black lion seemed to absorb all light, radiating luminous energy that coursed through the rest of the armor.

The bracelets and gauntlets, shaped like claws, gleamed with geometric patterns that channeled electromagnetism, as small bolts of lightning traveled across their surface.

The greaves and boots, sturdy yet lightweight, were adorned with golden and black details, with pulses of electromagnetic energy flowing from his thighs to his feet.

The cape, formed by a constant stream of electricity, resembled a lion's mane made of pure energy, moving with every surge of power.

"[Leo Aurea Tempestas]!" roared Aiden, completing the [Spiritual Assimilation].

In that instant, the armor shone with blinding intensity, and Aiden, now wielding the absolute power of the Celestial Lion, floated in the air like a storm god.

Golden lightning danced around him, illuminating the battlefield with electrifying radiance.

As he looked around, he saw nearby Phrases simply turn to ash, unable to withstand the overwhelming force of the [Spiritual Assimilation].

All that remained of them was dust scattered by the wind.

Calmly, Aiden turned his gaze to the more distant Phrases, an endless sea of enemies still standing.

He took a step forward… and in a blink, appeared before them.

The monsters reacted immediately, lunging at him with blade-like limbs, slicing through the air with terrifying speed.

—Metallic sound!

The clash of their weapons against the gleaming golden armor echoed, but not a single scratch appeared.

"It's useless," murmured Aiden, his voice calm, almost disinterested.

He raised a hand, and instantly, lightning crackled around him.

In a radius of 100 meters, all the Phrases were reduced to ashes, consumed by a surge of pure energy.

Then, his gaze settled on an area of the battlefield where the concentration of Phrases was overwhelming.

Without haste, he opened the mouth of his helmet, and a brilliant light began to gather inside, growing in intensity with each passing second.

"[Aurum Regalis] (Celestial Lion's Roar)," Aiden whispered, his voice resonating like thunder before erupting.

What followed was a roar accompanied by a beam of golden energy, so intense it lit up the sky as if it were a second sun.

The attack surged forth in a massive beam, one kilometer long and one hundred meters wide, annihilating everything in its path.

—Boom! Crash!

The explosion was colossal.

A portion of the desert was completely obliterated, leaving behind a deep, desolate crater that stretched exactly one kilometer long and one hundred meters wide.

From the center of the devastation, Aiden's metallic voice rose, unshaken:

"3,798,678 Phrases remain."

A/N:

Here's a chapter for you all.

I've been super busy these past days, which is why there weren't any updates, but here we are!

Though, I must confess my fingers hurt a lot—it ended up being around 4,900 words this time.

The activation chant for the [Spiritual Assimilation] was inspired by Issei's Dragon Diabolos form...

I hope it turned out at least a little decent.

It's a shame, but I don't have any images to go along with it.

I don't know how to generate images with AI, so, well, let's lament that together.

Thanks for your comments and for reading~

Peace out!
