Taeesha(10) was breathing heavily, as she hid in the massive bonsai tree. The lizard beast slowly scoured the area below, sniffing the air trying to pick up any scent. Then it stopped suddenly, sniffed the air one more time and looked up. Taeesha(10) panicked as soon she saw it looking up, breaking off a tree branch in the process.
That was all the confirmation the beast needed, as it started climbing up the tree. Taeesha(10) continued to freak out, Her electrical lightning power was still recharging after her last usage. She knew she can't afford to get injured because she wouldn't be able to use her healing balls because of the necessary time spacing between each intake. An injury now would almost mean certain death. The beast continued to climb and it's growls brought her back to realty.
She pulled out her katana swords ready to battle, Then she felt it, just as her fingers grazed the blades of her katanas. The electricity, the rush, her eyes began to glow white, just then the beast launched itself at her but she was ready, pumping it full of lightning and completely blowing it up.
The blast was so large that set the surrounding trees on fire. She carefully slid down from the tree exhausted. She decided to sit down at the foot of the tree to try to gather her thoughts and get herself together.
It's been two days in the rynik, 27 of her teammates her dead. The other two got separated from her about 10 hours ago, The fact she doesn't even know if they were still alive was killing her. These were are fellow soldiers, her friends. And the possibility of her being alone was in these dark wilderness was too much for her to bear. She took slow deep breaths as little streams of tears rolled down her face, but she knew she had to refocus on the mission especially If she was the only one alive.
The first thing on her mind was to get back to the base. They haven't been able to get close to the massive box but they were able to get a large number of the small boxes. Those have been sent back to the dome.
So she dragged herself back to her feet, and made her way in the direction of the safe house. The electricity still flowing through her, After walking for a few hours she got to a area called Vin in rynik. Now Vin was a area where vinayats, These are basically giant vampire bats with acid saliva and wind manipulation abilities due to their massive wings. To make matters worse, these bat's aren't blind like normal bat species, in fact they have one of the best eye site of all monsters in rynik.
As soon as Taeesha(10) stepped into Vin she knew she was in big trouble. You see one of vinayats most unique abilities is that they can sense electricity and that's what is running through her veins right now. Immediately she stepped in, about a dozen of them flew out of their cave as they sensed a surge of electricity in the area.
They flew over her without being able pinpoint her location. Then one of them did, and instantly flew down to attack her, but she quickly maneuvered out of the way. Shooting lightning towards it all in one move. That lightning alerted the others to Taeesha(10) location, and they all swooped down.
Taeesha(10) continued spasming lightning every and dodging their attacks. She was able to take down two, but these bats were fast, too fast for their size. And their numbers were too much even for someone with lightning powers.
So Taeesha(10) decided to run towards the safe house, she knew it was close to Vin, she just needed to get across the old shaky bridge.
So she made for the bridge with the vinayats flying after her, but before she got there, one of the vinayats flew ahead destroyed the bridge with it acid saliva and hovered over the ridge, staring straight at Taeesha(10). But instead of stopping, she just kept running, kept running, kept running.....
And then she jumped.. Everywhere went silent. Everything slowed down before her eyes.. She could die, she could fall to her death. But she thought to herself.. "Nah not today," she still wanted to see Tayo, she misses him.
As she was falling, she managed to grab the legs of vinayat hovering over the ridge, pumped it full of electricity which forced it to fly up.
She electrocuted it again and it crashed into the other side of the canyon, which luckily for Taeesha(10) was the side where the safe house was located. But she couldn't get up because the vinayat fell on her leg. she couldn't move and the other vinayats were closing in.
She tried and tried but she couldn't lift it up. She tried electrocuting it, but that didn't work either. It was like the vinayat had passed out or something.
The other vinayats landed around her. She could feel it was over. One of the bat prepared to launch an acid spit at her, when it was hit with a psychic attack, it screeched in pain holding covering its head with its wings. The same thing to the rest of the vinayats. While the one on Taeesha(10) leg was levitated off her leg and Thrown aside.
Taeesha turned to the direction of the safe house, where she saw to figures, one was standing at the edge of the platform and another was running towards her. After rubbing her eyes and squinting again, she realized it was her two friends who got separated from her. "Oh my God, they are alive" she thought to herself, Rachel(77) was the one with telepathic powers and the one running towards Taeesha(10) was Lisandro his magical ability is super strength. He got there as one of the bat was still trying to attack Taeesha(10). He stopped it and delivered a ouch that knocked it out, he then picked up Taeesha and ran towards the safe house platform. Once he got her safely in the platform with Rachel(77), it closed and descended into the bunker below.
Once they were safely in the bunker. They all hugged each other. Taeesha(10) was relieved to see her friends alive and they felt the same way about her. She took her balls and within a few minutes felt better.
Then Taeesha broke the silence with what was the nerve racking, and most exciting statement they have heard so far.
I think we might actually have a chance of reaching the black massive box. We just need something or better yet someone.
