Kade stood on the ramparts, his cloak trailing behind him in the cool morning breeze. His gaze swept over the battlefield below. The mercenary forces had retreated, leaving behind their dead and broken siege engines. Yet the tension in his chest refused to ease.
"They're not done."
He muttered to himself.
"They're regrouping. I can feel it."
