30 Years ago , the world was awoken to an abrupt shake. Not just one continent, the whole world. Trees stood unusually tall like they were preparing themselves. These preparations didn't take long to be set in motion.

It took 5 minutes before storm clouds painted the pink dusk to a dark gray. With each stroke the sky grew darker and darker.

High volts collected above the clouds.Hiding. Waiting to strike. Like an predator would it's pray.

The lighting quickly spilled from the sky, the earth being it's target. It didn't take long for the earth to be enveloped in blinding rays. However the earths ground remained unscathed. The tree's were slightly tattered and they took most of the force.

Not long after , mysterious gate like things opened. They were not pretty sights. But what was inside was even more ugly.

When these ugly monsters escaped the no so pretty gates' , they would attack. These attacked had to be matched, and so mother natured blessed the earth with the system. Abilities , traits , even divinity. You named it the system gave it.

But that was under the pretext of a condition.

As time went on people learnt about the gates , the beginning , the system. Everything. It was called the orgin. The line that was draw to show the difference between now and then. Before the orgin , the idea of powers and mosters was unheard of however , now it was the most basic form of imagination.

Humanity adapted fast naming the people awakened by the system ' hero's '. There were more and more discovery's about the system. Technology advanced at even faster pace.

If Mother earth decided on a great change. The human kind decided to man make one to.

And so after 30 years from when the orgin began, humanity was finally back to normal. As much as it could be atleast.

"Lea , god the f**k were you thinking?"

"Do you always have to swear? , Cant you just speak nicely , for once? Is it that hard?"

" Yeh it is that f*****g hard!"

" Oh my god , your so annoying ."

The bickering between the two twins contuined for a while.But it become muffled as she thought to herself

' Ha , you think hes annoying what about me i have to listen to the both of you all the time.'

Lesia instinctively sighed. It was loud enough for the twins to hear. They slowly turned their head's. Josiah , who is the older of the two twins, took initiative and spoke first.

"F**k oh yeah I remember now , I was angry at you and I swore thats why we started arguing, Hm , makes sense."

Jessie nodded , she also had forgotten why they started arguing as their fight was dragged into a battle of who could insult each other more. Obviously Josh had won by all means necessary.

Brainrot.

Jessy gave in as he started to spout nonsense like ' You need to mew , your fifth chin is starting to show a little to much and mum does not want a beta for a child.'

It was something Jess could not stand , and being the 2 minute younger twin meant the authority she desperately wish she had was of no use.

Jessy came to the conclusion that being the youngest sucked. Alot.

Lesia finally broke the silence to respond to Josiahs words , but not in a nice manner.

"So then what warranted you swearing at me , what was so bad you just had to disturb such piece with your ongoing arguments." Lea's gaze was cold and she stared directly at Josh.

Josh was a humours person and was quite confident , he didn't care to much about how other people saw him. He could be described as fearless. However under his sisters icey gaze he couldn't help but tremble.

" Oh .. a . yeh , your water , aha yeh your water spilled over the table , some of it was spilt on my work. I was just a bit annoyed I'm sorry." At first uncertainty could be heard but eventually it faded into a more honest answer.

Lea looked down , she was met with suprise. She had indeed knocked over her water on her brother's work. She felt guilty. She was not as heartless as what people thought when they looked at her.

Jess could see the guilt in her eyes. Jessy was an emotionally intelligent person. What she lacked in technical subjects, was made up for in common sense and an understanding of human psychology.

" Oh come on Josiah , it was an accident. Lets just get some towels to clean it up. Don't be petty you barely even did anything."

Jess pushed Josh out the dinning room and he started to grumble to her.

" Heyy I put lots of effort into those 2 lines of work." Their voice became muffled to Lea as they walked away.

She let out a louder sign than before. Lea felt lonely. She spent the seconds waiting for her siblings to return. Her thoughts were cloudless and empty.

After a couple of minutes of waiting , Jessie and Josiah returned even bringing along Michikiel , her other brother. They quickly mopped up the table , it didn't take long and so in a proud moment Jess spoke.

" See I told you. Did it really take that much effort?"

" Ohhhh but it did though, My hands ache like s**t now."

" .... You've got to be kidding."

Josh shook his head and Jess rolled her eyes before turning away and facing Michikiel. Mich was older than the twins by 2 years and

, I , Lesia was 1 year older then Mich. Making the twins 17 , Mich 19 and Lesia 20.

Jess asked Mich if he knew when Mum and Dad would be back. However to no-ones suprise he responded with a grumpy:

" I don't know , how would I know?"

We could all tell by the sound in his voice , that Mich was extremely hungry. He was only ever rude when he was hangry.

"I think they'll be back for 6 so we'll have to make dinner on our own. Is that beyond your competence Mich?"

Everyone turned there head to Lea , she was speaking in a sarcastic tone. Jessy quickly formed a cheeky grin on her face before looking at Mich to see his reaction.

He was stood there dumbfounded.

" . . . You know, . I am currently taking a course in Cuisine. I can cook you know.?."

Mich was very pressed about the matter. He gave a Lesia a dirty look. Lea was expectantly, unfazed.

However Lea was not the one to respond instead it was Josh.

" Yeh. YEH. Lesia has a point. Whenever Mum tells you to cook you never do. If your so good at cooking, cook us a nice f**king meal to appease all the times you didn't. Sounds like a fair deal? Don't you guys agree?"

Jessy and Lesia looked at each other before nodding their heads vigorously. The small act hurt Michikiel's pride.

It took an hour for Mich to walk in , bringing two plates in at a time. He was not very happy and he face said it all , he didn't even try to hide it.

This was an attack on his pride , and so he did what they wanted and proved his point.

"See , there I CAN cook. " He empathised the can.

He didn't realise that they had all team tagged at him just so they themselves didn't have to cook. And it paid of very well , because they now had a big bowl of Samlon cooked in soy-sauce infront of them.

The salmon was tender and flavour-some. All the salt being consumed would be extremely unhealthy to the 4 but it didn't matter. They didn't care one bit. They had a beautiful meal

infront of them and did not dare waste such an opportunity. The 3 looked at each other in agreement , proud that their decision paid off.

As they scoffed there food down , they quickly put Mich to work again. Jess took the lead in the tormention of the elder brother.

" So , ahem. Dear brother, you know how your sooo Amazing?"

" Aheh yeh thats right I am pretty amazing , Aren't I?"

Josh contuined it " Yeh , your like the best cook ever."

"Yehh. If I do say so myself , I could give Rordan Gamsey a run for his money."

There eyes widened, trying not to laugh. Mich was indeed delusional, to such an extend that it was concerning. Lea contuined it but was direct and straight to the point.

"If your so good , go wash the pots for us."

Mich took a few seconds to process what had been said. His pride was on the line so he obayed.

Pride was indeed their brothers hamartia.
