The world was thrown into chaos by the giant tower, the Tower of Infinity, that appeared in the ocean 300 years ago. It is the source of dreams, power, and terror. No one knows what lies at the top of the tower, but everyone believes it hides the truth of the universe.
Riku Kazama, a 19-year-old youth, sits quietly in a small room where the light from an old lamp is not enough to dispel the darkness that surrounds him. He holds an old necklace, the only keepsake from his parents. "When will I ever be free from this mess?" Riku whispers, his voice cracking with exhaustion.
Riku's life has been nothing but days of being despised. He has no talent, no power, and even his health is weak. In a world where everyone possesses special skills, he is a "powerless" person. A strong wind is enough to knock him down. But Riku is not willing to accept it.
That night, as Riku fell asleep, a voice rang out in his mind:
"You want power? You want to know the truth about this world? Then enter the Endless Tower."
Riku woke up with a start. His heart was pounding, cold sweat was dripping down his forehead. The voice was too clear to be a dream. Before his eyes, the space suddenly became blurry. A glowing portal appeared, floating in the middle of the room.
"This… can't be!" Riku retreated, but a strong suction force pulled him in. Before he lost consciousness, the last image he saw was the brightly glowing necklace.
Riku woke up, surrounded by a dark and damp forest. Roars echoed in the distance, making his hair stand on end. A cold voice rang out:
"Newcomer, welcome to the 1st Floor of the Endless Tower. You must survive to advance to the next floor. Warning: completion time is 24 hours."
"Damn it!" Riku muttered, trying to stand up. He found that his body was no longer as weak as before. Although he was still skinny, each step felt more solid. While he was still lost in thought, a giant wolf with glowing red eyes jumped out from the bushes.
Survival instincts rose. Riku rolled to the side, avoiding the fatal attack. His heart was pounding, his hands trembling as he picked up a nearby branch. "I don't want to die!"
The wolf charged again. Riku swung the wooden stick, hitting it hard on the head. The wolf roared, but the blow wasn't strong enough to cause damage. It opened its mouth, revealing its sharp teeth, preparing to tear its prey apart.
At that moment, Riku's necklace glowed.
A strange interface appeared before his eyes:
"Gacha system activated. Proceed to draw the first skill."
"Draw? What the hell is this?" Riku was startled, but there was no time to wonder. The interface displayed a spinning wheel, and after a few seconds, the words appeared: "Memory Regeneration Skill Activated."
Riku didn't understand how this skill worked, but in the moment of life and death, he tightly grasped the necklace. Suddenly, the memory of the wolf's attack appeared in his mind, every movement, every step of it as clear as a slow-motion movie.
"Alright, I won't lose this time!" Riku shouted, dodging the wolf's pounce with precision. He picked up a large rock and smashed it hard on the wolf's head. It collapsed, blood pouring from the wound.
As the wolf fell, a light surrounded Riku's body. The voice from before rang out:
"You have passed the first trial. Reward: a sub-skill - Memory Learning."
"Memory learning? What use is this?" Riku gasped, watching the wolf's corpse disappear, leaving behind a small gem. When he touched the gem, he suddenly felt the way the wolves hunted and attacked, as if he had become a part of them.
Riku chuckled. "Looks like I'm not useless anymore."
But before he could rest, a series of noises rang out. Riku turned his head and saw three more wolves charging at him. This time, they were larger and more ferocious.
"Damn it, this tower really wants to kill me!"
Riku clenched his fists, his eyes shining with determination. "If I die, at least make them pay!"
With his new skill, the now weak Riku took his first steps on the journey of "Resurrection from the Endless".
